After having trouble entering an order on yapp, I went into the store. I waited several minutes before being greeted but once someone came up they were friendly and helpful. I ordered a Create Your Own Salad and a side of Dill Pickle Pasta Salad. The salad was great- and big! The pasta was good but small for the price. I'll definitely be ordering again soon. I haven't had chili from Jason's Deli in a while. Their chili is the only place I know that doesn't add beans to it. I placed a mobile order and picked it up. I was greeted right away when I walked in. The restaurant is very cozy and it smells amazing when you walk in. My order was ready to go when I arrived. The chili was a little under seasoned. I added some additional stuff and it made it taste so much better. I didn't realize how much variety they have their menu. Next time I am going to try their grilled cheese and tomato soup. read more

Everything is served in plastic whether you are eating there or not. No self-serve salad bar, drink station or ice cream. A great lunch spot we really enjoy. Easy and quick ordering for sandwiches, soups and salads. Not to mention free ice cream regardless of your order. I always get the meatiest sandwiches. They added a steak sandwich that is fantastic. Lots of flavor and large chunk of meat. It was advertised as spicy but it was mild to moderate heat and that was just right for me. This restaurant is as good as it gets. VERY reasonably priced food and the workers are very hospitable. I have a medical exemption from my doctor and cannot wear a face mask and they never make a scene. They use organic vegetables whenever possible, and the soups are simply delectable. I've had organic vegetable, and the tomato soup. Both were freshly made in house and amazing. I enjoy piling on a bunch of veggies on the veggie sandwich because I'm a vegetarian. The chips and pickle are nice. The only negative thing to say about your restaurant is your mac and cheese is HORRIBLE. My mac and cheese was hot on the outside, cold in the center like it was microwaved. If I was reviewing that alone I'd give it a 1/5. Kraft is better much better, it was beyond bland. I know it's been around for a long time, but tonight was my first chance to try Jasons deli. I got the half Reuben and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. It came with chips. flavor was good and the portion sizes were generous. The service was friendly and attentive, even though it was getting to be a little bit later. I didn't know about the free ice cream but I saw someone get it so I gave it a try. It's just OK - kind of a gimmick I guess. I'll try the muffaletta next time - I read that's what they're famous for. If I lived closer, I'm sure I would come often ... You can't really go wrong here unless you can't find parking in the crowded lot. This place is fantastic. If you come at lunch or high peak times there is a line, but it moves quickly so don't be deterred. The half and half combos are the best bang for your buck. Half of any sandwich and a trip the glorious salad bar for less than $10. Same if you want a cup of soup with your sandwich. Not into soups or sandwiches or salads? Get a baked potato with toppings. We've built our own sandwiches and the options are vast. For a hot sandwich try the meataballa (or if you're craving pizza go for that!). The club royale is great; it's a sandwich on a toasted croissant! There's a California version that includes guacamole (yum!). The soups are good. We recommend the tomato, chicken pot pie (comes with a cute puff pastry on top), chili, and chicken noodle. The gumbo seems a little off but if you can handle a stronger seafood taste than usual, have a go at it. All sandwiches (and half sandwiches) come with fruit or chips (regular or baked). Salad bar has plenty of options. Free cornbread muffins, crackers, saltines, and soft serve! And you don't have to bust your own table. We've tried to, but the staff always takes over. Really friendly and nice place. Good for groups and the ambiance is very casual. read more

Took forever to find a spot in Rookwood. Once inside there was a long line to order, however kudus to the staff it was very quick. I ordered the first thing on the sandwich menu.. the Ruben" Came out about 5 minutes later. The sandwich was delicious! Nice portions and tender corned beef. Paired with your choice of their own chips made a nice lunch. I'll be back to JASON's, next time we will drive together in order to deal with the parking problem. read more

I was really happy that Jason's Deli was only relocating and not permanently leaving the Rookwood area but I visited the new location and am very disappointed that the new location is very small doesn't have public access to the salad bar even though they claim they have one but the employees make your salad in back. They also don't have access to the soft serve ice cream that came with every meal and since I only got a carry out I don't know if you can even refill your own beverage in the new location. I have been to quite a few Jason's in other areas but none li,e the new Cincinnati location. I think if they could not live up to what Jason's is supposed to be they should have just left the area. Right now they are no more than an overpriced Firehouse Subs and I probably won't be going back to the new Cincinnati location. read more

This restaurant is located in the heart of Hyde Park, just behind Rookwood. The parking is shared with multiple businesses, and there are plenty spots available. The restaurant is pretty big and roomy. Once we got in, we were greeted and we placed our respective orders. I got the half sandwich and one time salad bar option for around $9. I opted for the meatball sandwich. The Salad bar is HUGE. Like go crazy here! I had so much fun assembling my salad with the dressing options. They also offer some kinds of crackers to accompany your salad and the garlic one is so GOOD. They also serve vanilla and chocolate mini corn muffins within the salad bar, and they are delicious! Highly recommend the chocolate one. The salad was so filling, that the half sandwich went directly to a box as leftovers. NOW to the best part. They offer free soft serve with a choice of toppings, in a cup or cone. Isn't that what dreams are made of? Mine are! I sinfully indulged in it. I left, my tummy and heart full. read more

Love this place. I've been looking for a quality salad place for years and I finally found it! $8.50 for unlimited salad bar - so worth it! They have plenty of staff so the bar is fully stocked, clean, and you feel safe eating it (normally I'm skeptical of salad bar sanitation.) My co-workers wanted to have lunch at Jason's Deli. My boss loves the salad bar and raves about it. Word of advice to get there around 11:30 a.m. or earlier. It gets super packed and parking is ridiculous. They serve soups, sandwiches (specialty, build your own and famous favorites), clubs, paninis, wraps, garden salad bar, vegetarian options, pastas & potatoes, Kids Menu and desserts. Love that you can choose a combo of half a sandwich and soup and if you want to add a salad bar it's $4.59. Plus you get free ice cream for dessert (self serve near the salad bar). Everything is within reasonable price. It's simple. You walk up and give them your order, they give you a number and you sit anywhere. They bring your food. I ordered the Papa Joe (love that they put calorie content on all their meals) which is Roasted Turkey Breast, Asiago, roasted tomatoes, basil pesto, mayo toasted on focaccia bread (they were out of the bread so I substituted for ciabatta) for $7.29 which includes Chips or baked chips. I got Baked chips. My food came out right away and it was really delicious! The Turkey was not processed, the bread was not hard/fresh) and just enough pesto and tomatoes to give it great flavor. The rest of my friends enjoyed their meals and want to come back. Most talked about the salad bar that it had a great selection of everything. One word that comes to mind to describe Jason's Deli and that's FRESH.this place is a real deal deli, everything I ordered for my family seemed freshly made , nothing made prior or day before , you could smell and taste the freshness. Where to begin I highly recommend the Ranchero wrap , and lemme tell ya I'm not a fan of wheat wraps (had a few bad experiences at other places) but Jason's deli definitely changed my view on them , my tastebuds were doing a dance the wrap was that good , delicious pasta salad , delicious potato salad , their brownie is so chocolate goodness , everything we had was good not one complaint, definitely will be coming here more often it's one of the freshest delis in the Tri-state !! read more
