Arthur's is my favorite burger joint in Cincy!! I have been going to Arthur's since I was a child growing up in Hyde Park. I always looked forward to Burger Madness and loading my perfectly cooked, medium rare burger with toppings and different types of cheese. I love not only their burgers, but also their chili! It's always warm and delicious, served with cheese and crackers on top. I recently tried to loaded potato skins which were to die for! Arthur's is the perfect place to take your family on a Sunday or to watch the game on a Saturday night. I came to Arthur's because it's one of my friends' favorite restaurants and it did not disappoint! It's homey and it was very easy to find street parking on a Sunday night. Make sure you take advantage of their special - "Burger Madness" on Tuesdays and Sundays where you can order as many non-premium toppings as you like without extra charge. We love Arthur's. Fabulous patio that feels like a hidden garden courtyard (you'd never know there's a parking lot just beyond the walls), fast friendly service, and reliably good food. In twenty years I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. The burgers, the reuben, the fish sandwich, the fries -- they're all good. The onion rings have changed recently. If you weren't a huge fan before (they were tasty, but the breading was on the thick side, which meant in order to get them nice and crispy you had to order them well-done) but the new recipe fixes that: thin, crispy-crackling breading that is really, really good. I've written reviews about tons of burger places and try to go to a different one each week. This one was a stand out. I had the Arthurs Burger...and it came with (GOOD) fries with no upcharge: 1 star. The patty was cooked medium to order and handmade: 1 star. The flavor, temperature and texture all met my standards of what a burger should be: 1 star The burger here has more char than any burger I have had in the last year which was different but in a good way easily sliding into my top five burger joints in the area. When anybody asks me where to go for a good burger Arthur's is always my first suggestion! I went on a Saturday around 5:30 and I was really surprised that we were seated immediately! It was chilly and rainy so maybe it kept people away. Either way I won't complain! I had a burger with boursin cheese, roasted red peppers and mushrooms. Yummy perfection! It was while living here in Cincy for a few months that I realized how much of a "SoCal foodie" I really am. It was hard to find a restaurant that was a solid 4 stars (at least to my standards), but Arthur's finally earned that title a few weeks before I moved to another state. I went with some friends and we all liked it. I got the Breakfast Burger w/ Sweet Potato Fries and it was hashtag so yummy. Wish I would have discovered this gem of a place sooner. P.S. Arthur's is a great American restaurant located in the Hyde Park Neighborhood of Cincinnati. My sister and I went here on a Tuesday which was a Burger Madness day! Burger Madness is on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. We sat in the patio in the back which is a great area to sit during Covid-19 times and in general. For burger madness, one gets to choose a hamburger, turkey, or black bean veggie burger patty and choose unlimited toppings. The only thing that's limited in the cheese which is limited to 6. It is $9.99 even with fries on the side! If you go during happy hour, beer and appetizers are inexpensive as well. I enjoyed my burger. It was juicy and delicious. It was medium rare like I asked for and my topping combination was great! I got carmelized onions, pepper jack and chipotle bbq sauce. The fries were good quality too. Service was good as well. I could see myself coming here regularly if I lived in the area. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to come here for a good burger in Cincinnati. read more

I was in Cincinnati with friends for the Hyde Park Blast at the end of June. We wanted to get a bite to eat before we started using our drink tickets. There were food trucks at the event, but we wanted to sit down. Also, since it was hot out, we were looking for a place with AC! Our one friend recommended Arthur's and said it was a favorite of his. When I heard they had burgers and fries, I was sold! That is by far my favorite meal! This place was definitely busy on a Saturday night. So busy in fact, that we had to opt to sit outside on the back patio because the wait for inside was too long. We were lead to the back patio which was fenced in and had cute tables with ivy growing around. It definitely had character but the tables were small! We had five people and I'm still surprised we all fit on there (I did spill my boyfriend's water at one point. Oops!). I of course opted for the burger and fries. Overall, it was pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. This place reminds me a lot of Thurman's in Columbus (where I live). I feel like the beef patties are very thick and not really seasoned that well. The fries were pretty good. Also it needs to be called out that the bathroom situation here on a busy Saturday night is far from ideal. It's very tiny and there are only two stalls. So picture 5 women crunched in a tiny area and one of them getting hit every time the door opens. I have a strong opinion that all restaurants should have a three stall minimum and this place is no exception! Overall, definitely a solid 3 ("A-ok" by Yelp standards). I would go back and try it again, but it might not be my first option. read more

We stopped here during the week, and we were worried we would have a wait because it looked crowded, but we were seated immediately. It has a relatively small interior, so I bet it gets really crowded here on weekend nights. I started with one of the Halloween specialty cocktails - I think all of the drinks were around $5-6, which seems like a fair price. We started with an order of Fried Cheese. There was some mix-up in the kitchen, and our server was surprised we didn't have our cheese yet when she stopped by to check on us. They brought it out to us shortly thereafter and apologized for the delay, telling us that this item would be taken off our bill. We definitely appreciated that - owning up to your mistake and then making an effort to make it right! My husband had the Grilled Gouda Cheese, which was okay, and I had the Boursin Cheese Burger with a Black Bean patty. I thought the prices were fair and the food was good. I would go again. There is a parking area behind the restaurant - there is a machine that you pay at, and it was really slow to accept credit cards. It was a chilly night, and I was thankful it wasn't much colder than that. It took forever to process the payment from the guy in front of us. Ours went through a little quicker, but there were others behind us that commented that this machine always had issues like this. read more

Stopped in yesterday. Little did I know the draft beer I got was only $2 for a pint which was great. Ended up getting the chicken sandwich Buffalo style with blue cheese dressing and it did not disappoint. I ordered a blackened burger at first that they did not seem to know how to cook. The put blacken seasoning on after like a topping and it just did not work. It is a process and I have had it there done in the past but many year ago. But the bartender quickly took car of it and removed it from my check, service 5, atmosphere 4, having to wait for new food 3. So I think a 4 works here. In any Midwest city, you will find that the position of "Best Burger Joint" is hotly contended, and often a subject of bar fights and messy breakups. Nonetheless, I will tell you that Arthur's is the Best Burger Joint in Cincinnati. Their signature is the boursin burger. They pile garlic and herb cheese on the patty, causing it to liquify and melt into the meat. The patties themselves are generous, and yes, you can actually specify medium, and it will be pink and juicy inside. The fries are crispy, hot and satisfying. I hear they've got sweet potato fries which are pretty good, but seeing as I have a soul I tend to avoid those. If you're quiet about it, you can ask the server for a side of whatever aioli they've got today. Oh, and their house lager is $3, and it's half-off that on Wednesdays. You're welcome. So yes, I'll say it again. Arthur's has the best burger in Cincinnati. And now I have another reason to never leave my home. This place is fantastic. The building looks like its a million years old. If memory serves me correctly, the bathroom was a decent size and well maintained. Usually old buildings have tiny bathrooms which arent gonna work for a big and tall guy like me. So, I was sat at a table by a lady with short hair who was probably Hispanic. I say probably because masks cover up all kinds of important details about someone including smile, facial expression, teeth. She said that it was one of those days in which the burgers were on special. So I ordered a burger. You can add whatever you want on it.
