Artea has been my go to spots for YEARS! I absolutely love coming here for a study spot, chill hangout with friends or when I just need a delicious sweet treat. They have several board games to play with friends/family and I can guarantee you that everyone will find something that they love. Everytime I come here, I end up finding my new favorite drink and they have great deals for the drinks! The staff is always so sweet and helpful and honestly a place that feels like home! I'll continue to be coming back as it is close to UTSA (there's another location near Culebra) and can't wait to try something new!

Discovered this boba spot near UTSA during the pandemic through Uber Eats, and it's been a favorite ever since. Even though I don't live in the area, I always stop by when I'm nearby. The boba is delicious and always hits the spot. The food menu is great too!! I've tried the popcorn chicken, poke nachos, and bento boxes, and everything has been solid. Super chill vibe with games and lots of UTSA students studying, so it's perfect for hanging out or getting some work done. Fast service, good quality, and I've never had any issues. Definitely recommend.

Not a lot of boba places in SATX and had to really do some research and read a ton of reviews to decide on where to go. Wanted to give this one a try, but gonna be honest, I haven't had boba in another state that top off CA boba. Anyways, store is spacious with plenty of parking. After looking at the menu, we decided to get one of their specialties: mango seat salt cream cloud (FYI: they can't adjust anything), and one of their regulars: matcha red bean latte with 30% sweetness. MSSCC is more of a dessert than a drink. I like that they have mango bits but it's very icy. MRBL is ugh, disappointing. Even with 30% sweetness, the "latte" part tasted more of just water. Nowhere did it even taste like latte, let alone the milk. After 2 sips, we decided to toss it away. We opted to go 1 with tea and 1 with latte, hoping to taste both but unfortunately we were not pleased. Verdict still stands. On the search for a new one nearby.

Love the De Zavala Artea. It's a really nice spot to study or hang out, and there are tons of outlets, which makes it easy to stay for a while. The vibe is chill and comfortable without being too loud. The drinks are solid, and the bear cup alternative is such a fun, unique twist that makes it stand out from other boba places. Service is fast with the little beepers. Definitely a go-to spot when I want to get work done and treat myself.

The food was very tasty. Tried a few different choices with my daughter. Ended up with leftovers.

This is probably my favorite SA bubble tea spot. I really enjoyed my cucumber lychee tea. That flavor combo is quite refreshing when it's hot. It's spacious and clean and drinks arrived quickly. The brown sugar Thai tea was okay, not our favorites and the boba was too chewy and hard. We will probably stick to fruit drinks sans boba in the future.

I took Dad to an annual exam in the Medical Center area. We decided to have dinner @drinkartea DeZavala tonight. I gave Dad the Wintermelon Lime Auyi Basil, which doesn't have caffeine. Hubby had the Old Time Taiwanese Fruit Tea, and I had the Strawberry Milk Tea. We shared the delicious Gua Bao, Honey Bacon Chicken Bento, Pineapple Shrimp Bento, and Taiwanese Rice Noodle. Everything was fantastic as usual. You should check it out if you haven't already. @drinkartea is one of the AAPI participating restaurants. If you have the AAPI Passport, you get 10% off. There's also another location in Culebra Commons.

I got a red velvet milk tea and a side of pot stickers. They were both very yummy. The pot stickers were by far some of the best I've had. The milk tea was a bit much and I couldn't finish it all. Next time I will opt for the next size down. Overall a pleasant visit.

Made my purchase to go, oh my this is a lot but so good!! My daughter ordered the garlic tonkotsu ramen and she enjoyed it however she did advise for next time she may request to not add the pork. She wasn't a fan of the pork. I also ordered the Crème Brûlée Latte with oolong and almond milk OMG DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED Service is always great here as well.

I'm not much of a tea person, but when I saw they have Asian food, I was intrigued. I took my teenager for lunch a couple days ago. He got a California roll and I got the honey bacon bento box which came with the chicken, fried rice, pickled cucumber slices, and I chose an egg roll between that and a rangoon. The rice was great. The egg roll was very good. The chicken, surprisingly, was not very flavorful. It looked yummy, but I didn't get much flavor from neither honey nor bacon. We got teas also, but since I'm not a regular drinker, my opinion is muted...I thought they were ok. My order taker was kind and polite, but the gal "delivering" the food didn't smile. Also, I sat in the bench seat which was hard and uncomfortable and in need of some minor repair. The ambiance is modern and bright.

My go to place for teriyaki chicken! Former coffee shop and specialty tea shop barista here! I've dined in and ordered out with Artea a number of times and have never had a bad experience. The store is always packed yet clean, the boba is consistently at a good consistency and never over sweetened, the tea flavors range from classic to fun and unique but are all executed so well, and the food is downright addicting. I cannot recommend this business enough, but be careful! Once you've had their Teriyaki Chicken Don there's no going back!

Winter Melon Lime Aiyu with Basil Seed, way too sweet.
    Shayla P.

Ordered the Wintermelon Lime Aiyu Basil, this drink is sickeningly sweet. The bobarista said the sugar or ice can't be adjusted without offering an explanation, and was also unwilling to replace the drink for a different one. She had a slight attitude. I would not recommend this drink, diabetes in a cup. Came here to do work as well, and the tables are not clean.

Definitely one of my favorite boba spots in San Antonio! The drinks are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Their food is just as impressive. Their Taiwanese dishes and Asian fusion plates are consistently tasty and satisfying. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, making it a great place to relax and hang out with friends.

Do the pot stickers have meat in them?

Hi Rebecca, yes it does. The fillings are chicken and vegetables.

What are your low calorie or sugar free options please?

Hi Theresa, most of our drinks in Loose Leaf, Milk Tea or Latte can be made with 0 sugar for those guest who prefer to use own sweetener. Hope it helps :)

What are your dairy free, milk tea options? When I first went I was disappointed to see that there wasn't an option, but it sounds like that may have changed.

Hi Michelle, great question! We use non-dairy in our milk tea series, almond milk are also available in our latte series. Feel free to call us at 210 462 1388, we love to navigate the menu with you!

Do they serve brown sugar boba? Or just the usual bobas?

Hi Vicki! We do serve Okinawa Kokuto Brown Sugar Boba Latte, with boba bathed in special kokuto sugar bath :)

Alas, was really craving some 蔥油餅, and this was the only place that offered delivery with them! I am sad to report that @ the very premium price of $5 for a single pancake, it would have been a far more worthwhile choice to take an Uber to the Asian grocery store to buy an entire package of 8 to 10 frozen ones for practically the same price! Same goes for pretty much everything else. Buying the frozen versions would have been not only me expensive, but the tasteful pleasure would have been on par if not better. Bibigo, I Mei, Wei Chan are a few recommended frozen food companies that would serve you better! Taste profile for all items were mediocre at best. $6 Takoyoki Balls were probably the best, but even then, I have had far better for less dinero. The supposedly main course sized Donburi Gyudon was nowhere with the price, but it was at least pretty good. The 75 percent rice was good but obviously more meat would have been nice for $12. Not to be boringly dissimilar in my assessment, but the soups also are not recommended when they are so pricey. TLDR, eat here expecting average but overpriced food. When you consider value, this place is highly recommended- to avoid!

Over those years I have never seen many cars here, no matter the time of day. I'd admit, the main reason I went was the drive through. The sushi was mid teir at best. The rice has always been unseasoned and late at night, obviously left over from the lunch service. The nigiri is often improperly ratio'd and never comparable between previous visits. Most of the rolls are an assault to the senses and I normally stayed between 5 of them. I believe they use aggressive ingredients to hide their average fish quality. Its not terrible, but I never had the desire to order their sashimi. My second to last visit i requested if I could sub out salmon instead of a tuna. An easy enough change, which every sushi place ive ever been to, was the same price. I was met with the information it would be a 5 dollar sub fee. Which is very high for most places. More so when its only difference is what fish you grab from the cooler. I declined the sub. My last, and it will be my last, I called in an order at 12:18. Ordered what I've always ordered and got there pretty promptly. Waited in the drive through behind another car for about twenty minutes. When it was finally my turn I paid and waited. Waited till about 1 o'clock when thr woman ducked her head out and side they are working in my last roll. I asked if it would always be this long. So immediately snapped at me with "we open at 12:45" and shut the windows. With the tone like I was the one out of line when it was them who answered and took my order at 12:18. Was another 10 minutes or so before I finally got my order. If this is the treatment that a loyal regular, who they know the order before they even say it, is treated, I feel bad for the new comers. I will admit the main reason I came here is the drive through as its a unique characteristic not offered at many other places. But before you try this place, keep my review in mind, and the fact theres likely going to be one other car there, and they have to serve things like "sushi in a tube" to make up for a lack of anything actually special to offer.
