Unlike most of my reviews, I will keep this one short and sweet. . . Simply put, it was Delicious! I only ordered two items but both items were fantastic. The Pad Thai was one of the best Pad Thai's I've ever had. It looked so good I started eating it before I took a picture. It definitely matched my favorite Pad Thai from PF Changs. Maybe even better than PF Changs. The curry dish was equally as delicious. I am definitely coming back. May even come back tonight! The service was great and was very quiet when I went for lunch. If everyone knew how good it was, that place would be crazy busy. You need to try it. Very authentic Thai food at a great price. Worth every penny. Went as a solo act for a late lunch. Ranguns were crispy and light with bits of crab meat in the cream cheese. They were served with a sweet sauce which was delicious. My best friend and I came here after a full day at sea world. We were so hungry upon arrival haha. We ordered the spring rolls, I got the pad see ew with beef (mild) and she got the pad broccoli with chicken (mild). I also ordered the taro boba. The spring rolls came out hot from the fryer and were served with a delicious sweet and sour sauce. Fair warning to those order mild, we both like spice but this had a kick. We both happily ate our food, it's just something to be wary of if you're ordering with spice. They have 3 levels of spiciness. It did take a while for my taro boba to come out and it wasn't my favorite boba tea. But the food was phenomenal. We had intended on having extras for leftovers but we had eaten it all! Haha. We've been passing by this place for a while and finally found the time to check it out. It's was delicious, a little hole in the wall that everyone should try! A lot of Thai places around here are too sweet and try to put a Mexican flare on their food in order to attract the general public. This place tastes more authentic, and that's what I like about it. Absolutely absurd! You walk in and it's not much in reality but their food speaks for itself. Very calm place and never once felt overwhelmed by staff. Food was perfectly cooked. Gentle Readers: If Asian food is your jam and if you could eat some form of Asian food on the daily (like me), then, I introduce to you the absolutely delicious food at Thai Wok. This small Thai restaurant located on the Northside of San Antonio, off Culebra Rd. is an affordable and great place to dine. I ordered the chicken egg rolls and a noodle dish called Pad Won Sen (aka: Pad Wunsen). Both dishes were fresh and wonderful! The chicken egg rolls were made with spring roll wrappers instead of an egg roll wrapper. You cannot order just one measly little eggroll. you get 5 or 6 eggrolls to an order and this is served with a sweet and tangy fish sauce that was perfect. I strongly recommend you order the eggrolls. Item #2, my main entree was Pad Won Sen. A wonderful mesh up of glass noodles, Napa cabbage, carrots, onions and egg in a sauce. I ordered my noodles with medium spice, but if you want to feel the heat definitely order your food either hot or Thai hot. The heat score of my dish was less than I anticipated so I had to add in a lot of hot chili oil to my dish. The portions were ample, the protein and veggies in the noodle dish were plentiful and the prices were reasonable. Two healthy eaters could have easily shared that meal with both people being amply fed. I really like the restaurant's willingness to customize your order with the protein of your choice, including chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, scallops, and tofu. You can even elect to add on extra meat, veggies, an egg, and more for a small up-charge. In addition to a good selection of food items, the restaurant also offers Boba Tea and a couple of sticky rice desserts. Overall, I would rate this restaurant as a 4.25 dining experience. The food was delicious, but the ambience is nothing special, just a small strip mall restaurant to go get your grub on or take your food home to eat. The kids couldn't stop talking about how good it was- and it's rare that they love any place like we do. The masuman curry was so flavorful our two year old who is indifferent to most food was sopping up the sauce and my 6 year old wanted to order another. Chicken and broccoli was great, lots of flavor without being overpowering, and the pad see ew was perfectly flavored and al dente. Wish these guys had more business, but we'll be back. Oh, and the prices are fair and the mango sticky rice is to die for to top it off! I'm so glad I tried the food from here because they make some of the best Thai food in the area! We got delivery via DoorDash, and both the Pad Thai and Pad Kee Maow arrived piping hot. I've been on the hunt for a good pad kee mao, and this place definitely makes a delicious one! I got the Pad Kee Maow with Vegetables (medium spicy). It's the closest in flavor to what I would deem as authentic compared to other pad kee maos I've tried in San Antonio. The texture of the noodles was great, and the noodles were able to soak up the sweet and savory sauce without becoming soggy. The vegetables weren't the best, with the string beans being a bit tough and the broccoli being slightly overcooked and borderline mushy. BUT, I would definitely order this again because the flavors were so so good that I don't mind the vegetables not being better quality. The Pad Thai with Chicken (medium spicy) was also superb, with great flavor, plenty of chicken, and fresh bean sprouts. One thing to keep in mind is that if you do order the Pad Kee Maow, it already comes a bit spicy, so getting it medium spicy means that additional spice is added to the base spice. (In other words, a medium spicy Pad Kee Maow is spicier than a medium spicy Pad Thai.) Also, the tapioca in their bubble teas are fantastic and have a great chew! The taro bubble tea is a solid choice if you want to get a drink to accompany your food. read more

I saw this place as I was driving down the road, and made a last minute decision to try it out. I am so glad I did because wow this is a hidden gem. Food: the food was amazing, we ordered Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, spring rolls, gyoza, and Boba Tea. Literally all of the food was soooo delicious, I don't think there is one thing on the menu that you could go wrong with. I intend to find this out personally. Service: the service here was very good, very quick and attentive, our order came out fairly quick as well. Friendly customer service, and they check on you periodically to see if you need anything. Ambiance: this is such a cozy place to eat. The decor, the music they play, the smell of the food in the air. I love trying out new places. I also like trying places that seem like a hole in the wall. This place is actually pretty good. We decided to order to go instead of dining in. We don't live far so it was super easy and our food was still super hot when we got home. We started with the calamari. It was so good and crispy. It was a good portion for an appetizer. I had to Tom kha soup with tofu. I love Tom kha, but some restaurants make it better than others. I really did love the one from here. It was nice and hearty and the serving was pretty big. It had a good lemongrass flavor. I was able to get two meals out of it. For my main meal I had pad Thai. Once again the serving was huge. It had good flavor to it and it reminded me if pad Thai you eat from street vendors in Thailand. I had to get the sticky rice and mango. It was a perfect ending to a great meal. I noticed they also sell Boba tea which I plan to try next time. Parking is available on site but shared with the other businesses. Dang this place is super good. Went on Wednesday night for pickup, wasn't planning to get Thai Food but saw the place and realized it was late and my wife and I didn't want to cook dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to have stumbled on a hidden gem! Anyway, we ordered Pad Prik King with chicken, Pad Karpow with beef, Crispy Pork Fried Rice and Chicken Fried Rice. Everything was super flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The curry in the Prik King was delicious, and medium hot for everything was perfect. The crispy pork fried rice is probably the best fried rice I have ever had. Customer service was great, and the ambiance is cool - definitely a small family owned spot.
