Chicken pad woonsen with cheese rolls and lemon chicken, so tasty.

Obviously guys, this isn't my first rodeo here, it's certainly not my last! The food and service are always great. The food has remained consistent for the almost 10 years I've been coking here! The interior is very classic San Antonio Thai restaurant, and it makes me feel at home. Thank you for being a long standing local business! Come try it out, they have an online menu and even do doordash!

Had this food ordered to go. Heard a few good things about this place and wanted to give it a try. The food was prepped fairly quickly, and most of it was packed nicely. They definitely give you a lot of food for what you ordered. The lemon chicken with fried rice came in a huge bowl (tasted decent), and the white rice was really compact in the white box. The food was still nice and hot when i got home. I ordered the house delights for appetizers to try. I liked the shrimp the best but didn't care much on the spring/cheese rolls. The panang was very good and definitely would recommend it. Can order it as spicy as you like and with chicken, beef, pork, and veggies, but I prefer chicken. I also tried their fancy Japanese fluffy cheesecake since it looked really nice. It's definitely different from a traditional cheesecake, but I actually really liked it. Was more like a cake but tasted good. The only thing was when I bit the flower decoration, I was expecting it sweet, but ended up tasting the food coloring. Nice to look at, but won't bite into the flower again. Overall, a pretty good place to eat would definitely go back.

    Kung Poea Beef Dinner

Long time customer, since the 80s when the family started as a grocer store.until the last couple of years the lunch plates were made to order, now they cook in big batches lunch dishes and serve from a steam table. Depending on what you order lunch and the time it has been sitting on steam table is a 50/50 whether it will be fresh.. I strongly suggest the dinner menu which is cooked to order

Very delicious and big portion food. Pad Thai was phenomenal. Fried rice could use more flavor but still good. I really liked how clean the oil tasted, unlike other Chinese restaurants where they reuse oil (we can tell the difference). If you get the seafood puffs, I recommend letting it cool for about 5 mins because once you bite into it, the piping hot cheese will splurge out. The only thing I did not like about this restaurant was that once you step into the front door, it smells like urine or homeless people. I'm not sure what it is, but the smell went away once we got to our table, so it might be the front door mat? My wife wanted to leave after we got to the door, but I wanted to give this place a chance and glad I did. We will be coming back!

Lunch combination special. Lemon chicken and Kung Pao Beef

I don't get Chinese food from any other place but here. Their lunch specials are great! I always get the same thing - lemon chicken & kung pao beef, with fried rice, spring rolls, and ice tea. I also get 2 glasses of wine. I've eaten asian and chinese food all over the world and this is one of the best as far as quality and selection in food. The place isn't fancy but the food is good. They've had a staff shortage ever since Covid shut down everything. Sometimes the service is slow and I have yet to be there when the other side of the restaurant is in use. The staff shortage impacts everything. But the servers they do have work their butts off and are very friendly. They provide great service.

The food was awesome. It was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The waitress was very nice and helpful as well. We got there just in time before the place was standing, waiting to eat. It was average noise, not bad at all. It a great little " hole in the wall".

Num Prig Pao with steamed tofu and vegetables

I called Asia Kitchen to discuss my seafood allergy. I love Thai cuisine, but I also prefer not to die. The very polite woman who answered the phone informed me that the restaurant can cook me most dishes on the menu without fish, or oyster sauces. I just needed to write "seafood allergy" on my grubhub instructions. I was also told that I shouldn't order any fried appetizers, because they fry these in the same oil as the seafood. That's unfortunate. I was craving spring rolls. I ordered num prig pao at mild-medium spicy with steamed tofu and vegetables. It was delicious. I'm so full right now, because I ate two bowls of the yumminess. I look forward to trying more dishes from their menu.

The burnt sesame chicken I was given at Asia Kitchen. I am beyond offended since I order from here quite often.

Food is good but you wait an hour at lunch time for your food! They do not offer soup or anything to tie you over while you wait.

I ordered the crispy dumplings (pork) and spring rolls as appetizers, and the spicy noodle soup as my entree. My server came to take my order, and brought me the items as they were ready. The entree came out before the appetizers. The spicy noodle soup was spicy (as named) and it was good, but it was incredibly oily and the noodles were overcooked, so I didn't eat much of it. I would definitely recommend ordering this with rice, or taking it home and making your own. The dumplings and spring rolls were crispy, but nothing special. I did like the duck sauce they had -- I would have asked my server for more of it, but she was busy in the back or something, not sure. I wish she would've checked in on me a bit more during the visit so I could have gotten more napkins and sauce. The service was alright. I wish I would've gotten checked on a little bit more, but she was nice and helped me pack my noodles to go. Overall, this spot wasn't terrible, but if I had to choose, I'd probably try another place.

We noticed the decor had changed (yes, I said it had been many years) and it was quite nice! We were seated promptly and placed our drink order (tea came with lunch). We ordered Rangoon as a starter. The lunch specials came with soup and egg roll, and fried rice. DH ordered his litmus test dish for American style Chinese- General Tso chicken. The portion was generous. The sauce was tasty. The chicken pieces tasted like your average frozen nuggets tossed in sauce. It's that familiar "seasoning" to the chicken and coating- iykyk. Not bad at all, just not the best. He enjoyed his egg drop soup. I opted for Hunan Beef. The sauce was thicker than I prefer, with an almost gelatinous consistency. The hot and sour soup was nice, a little more sour than hot. We both thought the fried rice that came with lunch was a little bland. Maybe the entree version is better? Each special was under $10, and it's definitely a great value.

Walked in and waited for a few minutes before someone handed us menus and told us to sit wherever. Just handed us menus...in a kind of "just go sit down kinda way". Not real friendly. The appetizer we ordered (veggie steamed dumplings) came out with one less dumpling than promised on the menu. My wife's noodles were nothing special, as was my spicy/numbing pot. I felt my pot in particular, was over-loaded with huge chunks of veggies that could have been better chopped as to be more manageable. More chicken and beef in that chicken and beef pot, too, please ... The person waiting on us, if you could call it that, was not personable and could not have cared less about interacting. His drive by meal drop-offs were the epitome of antisocial. Probably won't return.
