Nice restaurant located off SW 410. Prices were incredibly affordable for the lunch menu: $8.95 for one entree and $10.95 two combination for plates. The portions are large and the food was tasty. Service was on point and very helpful. Waitstaff checked on us frequently. This was worth the visit, and I've keep it in mind for a second visit.

Shrimp fried rice no vegetables! SO GOOD!

OMGOSH!!! Let me just say I WILL be returning. This place was hands down absolutely amazing. And they had Gluten Free options. It was perfect for my nephew. I enjoyed the shrimp fried rice with no vegetables. I did add an egg to it. It was delicious. It didn't even need any soy sauce. It was flavorful. It was a party of 13 that attended and EVERYONE enjoyed their dish. There was not one complaint. The servers were amazing. So patient. So loving. So awesome! The ambiance was beautiful. Thank you for helping us celebrate my Nephews Air Men graduation with a delicious lunch. Blessings! Happy customer.

Had this food ordered to go. Heard a few good things about this place and wanted to give it a try. The food was prepped fairly quickly, and most of it was packed nicely. They definitely give you a lot of food for what you ordered. The lemon chicken with fried rice came in a huge bowl (tasted decent), and the white rice was really compact in the white box. The food was still nice and hot when i got home. I ordered the house delights for appetizers to try. I liked the shrimp the best but didn't care much on the spring/cheese rolls. The panang was very good and definitely would recommend it. Can order it as spicy as you like and with chicken, beef, pork, and veggies, but I prefer chicken. I also tried their fancy Japanese fluffy cheesecake since it looked really nice. It's definitely different from a traditional cheesecake, but I actually really liked it. Was more like a cake but tasted good. The only thing was when I bit the flower decoration, I was expecting it sweet, but ended up tasting the food coloring. Nice to look at, but won't bite into the flower again. Overall, a pretty good place to eat would definitely go back.

    Kung Poea Beef Dinner

Long time customer, since the 80s when the family started as a grocer store.until the last couple of years the lunch plates were made to order, now they cook in big batches lunch dishes and serve from a steam table. Depending on what you order lunch and the time it has been sitting on steam table is a 50/50 whether it will be fresh.. I strongly suggest the dinner menu which is cooked to order

Very delicious and big portion food. Pad Thai was phenomenal. Fried rice could use more flavor but still good. I really liked how clean the oil tasted, unlike other Chinese restaurants where they reuse oil (we can tell the difference). If you get the seafood puffs, I recommend letting it cool for about 5 mins because once you bite into it, the piping hot cheese will splurge out. The only thing I did not like about this restaurant was that once you step into the front door, it smells like urine or homeless people. I'm not sure what it is, but the smell went away once we got to our table, so it might be the front door mat? My wife wanted to leave after we got to the door, but I wanted to give this place a chance and glad I did. We will be coming back!

Lunch combination special. Lemon chicken and Kung Pao Beef

I don't get Chinese food from any other place but here. Their lunch specials are great! I always get the same thing - lemon chicken & kung pao beef, with fried rice, spring rolls, and ice tea. I also get 2 glasses of wine. I've eaten asian and chinese food all over the world and this is one of the best as far as quality and selection in food. The place isn't fancy but the food is good. They've had a staff shortage ever since Covid shut down everything. Sometimes the service is slow and I have yet to be there when the other side of the restaurant is in use. The staff shortage impacts everything. But the servers they do have work their butts off and are very friendly. They provide great service.

The food was awesome. It was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The waitress was very nice and helpful as well. We got there just in time before the place was standing, waiting to eat. It was average noise, not bad at all. It a great little " hole in the wall".

Num Prig Pao with steamed tofu and vegetables

I called Asia Kitchen to discuss my seafood allergy. I love Thai cuisine, but I also prefer not to die. The very polite woman who answered the phone informed me that the restaurant can cook me most dishes on the menu without fish, or oyster sauces. I just needed to write "seafood allergy" on my grubhub instructions. I was also told that I shouldn't order any fried appetizers, because they fry these in the same oil as the seafood. That's unfortunate. I was craving spring rolls. I ordered num prig pao at mild-medium spicy with steamed tofu and vegetables. It was delicious. I'm so full right now, because I ate two bowls of the yumminess. I look forward to trying more dishes from their menu.

The burnt sesame chicken I was given at Asia Kitchen. I am beyond offended since I order from here quite often.

There is ample seating and they have a cool little bookshelf with books and board games. Love the concept! They also have a wine dispenser. Didn't try it this time, but up for the challenge next time. Also don't skip the pickles, they are magical in every way. Homemade with lots of love and flavor! Then they brought a sample of the donuts and I think I'm hooked! They were fresh, delicious and still warm. I ended up ordering a large order to go! Highly recommend!

There is a huge selection of draft, bottled, and canned alcoholic drinks! My burger was cooked well and tasted good. Also got to try their chicken nachos and I love when you can tell, from taste, that food is made from scratch! I can see why they are known for their sweet potato fries though because they were the best sweet potato fries I have ever had; crispy and seasoned lightly! A must visit spot in San Antonio!

I also love the spacious outdoor seating with covered playground for kiddos!! The two main issues I had are the pricing for amount of food (way overpriced for tiny portions of average food) and secondly everything is dirty/sticky. It gives dive bar vibes which is fine but for a family friendly place it is very grimey. Also side note, the homemade "ginger ale" tastes like straight ginger soaked in water so I'd recommend against ordering that.

They played some tropical latin salsa/jazz music which created such a peaceful atmosphere. I loved how they served the meals in biodegradable containers/plates.
