After failure at having dinner at a different place, I found this place close by to have a quick dinner. The lady who greeted us was so sweet and welcoming which made us happy after the bad experience we had at the other restaurant. I love Tom Yum soup and always order it with other dishes at Thai restaurants. So we got the Tum Yum and a curry dish. It was good... I don't know if I could call it real authentic Thai but it was real decent food Nothing much of a vibe going on at the restaurant. I assume it is a busy lunch spot. Cute place with great food! Came for lunch with office staff. Had drunken noodles, tasted delicious!! However, wasn't spicy at all... so if you want it spicy, I'd ask for super hot! I also tried mango green tea + boba, good. Still on the sweeter side. Lunch came with soup or salad of your choice, tasted great. Our group also got pad thai and pineapple fried rice, everyone liked the fried rice over everything else. Price was reasonable for lunch, $12. Only downside was they had some smaaaalll fruit flies that were annoying. Otherwise would've been 5 stars. Will be back to try other stuff! read more

Geez, I feel bad. I showed up 30 minutes before they closed- I would have been pissed in their position. So imagine my delight when they welcome me in with smiles. I only ordered their mango sticky rice today but after our interaction today, I am excited to go back. I had never been inside before, but it is the cutest place. My husband and I live a few hours from San Antonio but this is our go tonspot. It is always tasty and delicious. Plus it is always consistent. Even though its Thai, one of my favorite dishes is the pho. It is one lf my favorite phos I have ever eaten. When you get it to go they separate the toppings so everything stays fresh. Mu husband gets the drunken noodles and loves them. The restaurant is very clean and the service is always kind and respectful. If you are in San Antonio near the medical district I highly recommend it! Side note: Side salad and other dishes contain peanuts. Wheat , eggs, soy, coconut could be other potential allergens. First visit today for a take out order. Ordered chicken satay and a coconut boba tea for me and pad siew for my daughter. I've loved chicken satay and eaten it at more restaurants than I can count over the years. Today's was very disappointing for several reasons: the chicken was very dry and tough and had very little flavor. I'm glad I asked for an extra serving of peanut sauce, because the two I ended up getting were not enough for the chicken--one little cup that normally comes with the order wouldn't have been enough for two skewers, much less than the 5 skewers in my order. And the very small cups of sauce were only about half full which was pretty stingy. Also, I'm used to getting a small serving of cucumbers and red onion in vinegar along with my satay orders from other restaurants. Not here. Really missed it. The chicken satay was not worth the $9.30 price, especially how dry, tough and flavorless it was. My coconut boba tea had a small amount of boba and not enough coconut flavor. Should have paid extra for more boba, but for $7.25 for the tea as it came originally was already way too expensive. My daughter's pad siew was just okay. Had very little chicken (also flavorless) and the portion was quite a bit smaller than she gets at other restaurants in our part of town. It was served in a small to go container the same size my appetizer came in. $14.50 was also way more expensive than it was worth. Pad siew (aka Pad see ew) is her favorite Thai dish, and she said she would not order it here again. Too expensive for what you get. We don't plan to return. Much better quality food at more reasonable prices available at several other restaurants near us. read more

I've been to Thailand for a month straight and this place here nailed it for having such a delicious meal. I had to fight with myself to not order a dish to go. I put in my order for Beef Pad Thai and it was out within minutes of ordering. The texture of the noodles complemented the soft and juicy beef arousing your tastebuds with the mild spices to make your nose run just enough to look up in the sky and say thank you. I did the happy dance in my seat with each bite. The service was excellent as well with the consistency of how nice and clean the business looked. I just came into Texas from Virginia so this place felt like a welcome the the best state in the country. Great job guys and you have just gained a new loyal customer read more

I arrived shortly after the lunch rush and there were still several tables occupied. I took a seat by the window to examine the menu and surprisingly, the top menu listed a host of Vietnamese selections. Although I'd stopped here for the Thai cuisine, it's hard to pass up fresh spring rolls, so I ordered tofu rolls (I specifically asked for the tofu "extra crispy"), and a small bowl of Tom Kha. I always order a side of sticky rice to go with my soup, and I was disappointed when they said they only had steamed rice. My spring rolls were brought out with a complimentary bowl of soup and a solitary egg roll accompanied by a small ramekin of sweet sauce. The roll was appropriately crispy but not very hot, nor was the soup hot. Surprisingly , the soup tasted very much like the chicken soup I make at home, and had no Thai or Asian flavor whatsoever. It wasn't bad, but certainly not what I'd expected at a Thai restaurant. Not impressed with the complimentary items, I turned my attention to the fresh spring rolls. Although I'd ordered the tofu extra crispy, it had not even been cooked long enough to brown and was quite soft. The other ingredients were fresh, so I decided not to send it back. The peanut sauce was extremely sweet and quite thin, not the typical Vietnamese peanut sauce. I added some Siracha in the hopes of offsetting the cloyingly sweet flavor, but there wasn't enough vinegar to do the job; it just added heat. Again I overlooked the misstep because this was a Vietnamese item at a Thai restaurant, so it didn't surprise me. Although I was unimpressed with my rolls, the Tom Kha had good flavor, and even had a floating kaffir leaf to impart more goodness. The galangal came through nicely without overpowering the other flavors, and the chicken very tender. All in all, very happy with the Tom Kha. All in all, my meal wasn't bad, but in a town with many other Thai selections to choose from, I'll probably keep looking for that special Thai experience and skip the second round on this one. read more

Absolutely enjoyed this quaint little place. The food was packed full of flavor and presented beautifully. I tried my Boba drink with mango popping pearl, it made me smile. It was a different experience with my coconut flavored drink, busting with mango juice. The Thai egg roll was paired with the perfect selection of cilantro, pickled carrots, mung bean sprouts, cucumber and lettuce. Met a friend here for dinner. This is her go-to Thai place. I tried the Bangkok fried rice with vegetables and was going to get spice level 2. The waitress doubled checked if I wanted that spice level so I lowered it to 1. This place definitely makes food spicier than most other Thai places. It was definitely good. My new favorite thai restaurant! The meals are always fresh & flavored perfectly, while the portions are plentiful. The Tom Kha is AMAZING- rich broth filled with lots of fresh, tender meat (never tough) & mushrooms. The coconut broth is creamy & zesty... PERFECT! The Pad Thai is my go-to dish & is just as amazing as the soup. Again, the portion is huge & I love that you can add veggies, even when ordering meat. You can taste the tamarind flavor, but it's not overpowering. They alway add spice to the level you choose. At the risk of sounding redundant- it's perfect too! They also have a great Pho selection with well-flavored broth & fresh, tender meat options (love the meatballs!). The broth is especially soothing for a sore throat or finicky stomach, but they send sriracha so you can spice it up to your liking. I ordered Thai food and I don't know how to describe this but I feel like it's Thai food made by a Vietnamese person....especially the Tom Yum soup. Reminded me of canh Chau (Vietnamese tomatoes soup) I guess all the photos of pho should have been a clue. Anyway the pad Thai isn't bad but I agree with previous posters the seasoning is bland. Meh, food was OK but served by a young 17ish y/o guy who didnt have any experience, dropped stuff, stammered, stared and generally needs some assistance with this job. TIPS; Dont reach in and grab dishes in front of people without asking. Have normal spoons on the table; not a giant spoon for one patron and an ice tea spoon for another, very low class. Also, dont stare at patrons from the counter, people know when you are doing this. Aside from telling us loudly "and more extra hot oil will be a charge"! Like shit kid, we only asked for some extra because you gave her about 1/4 ounce in a tiny plastic "cup". For the cost of the Pad Thai you should be quietly happy we are even dining there... Was in the area and decided to stop for lunch. My usual Thai spot in the medical centers was closed. Came in and it was very quite, a but empty but they had take out orders so that was a good sign. Sat down and was immediately served water and a menu. I settled on the fresh spring rolls and chicken pad thai. As soon as they took my order to the kitchen I could here the pots and pans going. My spring rolls arrived quickly and looked good. I like that they did not overfill them with lettuce instead of the other ingredients. The peanut sauce that comes with the rolls was really good. It compliments the rolls very well and I enjoyed it. I ordered chicken pad Thai with a level spice of 2 since it was my first time here. It came out very nicely presented and piping hot. It was a little more spicy than expected but it did not bother me. Just keep that in mind if you have a lower tolerance for spices. The pad Thai was seasoned well, my only thing is I wished it had more green onion in it. They serve it on the top but I loved the contrast of green onion with the pad Thai. I am sure I could have asked for more and they would have accommodated me but I didn't think of it until I was halfway through. The service was good and the waiter/cook was attentive throughout my time there. The bathroom was also very clean which was a plus. After drinking a ton of water because it was a thousands degrees outside, I didn't want to get back on the road without going to the restroom first. So we got here at 6:30pm and there was no one except a Thai lady on the phone. We get inside and there is a mop on the floor. Apparently she had been cleaning when the phone rang. The phone rang two times more. Also, a hipster type walked in to pick up an order and another couple walked in and seated themselves. You could tell they are regulars. We waited and could hear a man in the kitchen all loud about how he worked in White Sands or Roswell. The kitchen noise is actually really audible, maybe on account of the cold weather tonight. Anyway, we still do not have menus. Finally, the Thai lady comes by and says sorry she was cleaning because it was slow. She gives us menus. I ordered the pad se ew, wide rice noodles with beef. I did not like it at all, smelled nasty and one taste and I was like, hell no. In fact it was disgusting, I did not finish it and wouldn't take it to a dog. The lady said sorry that I didn't like but no curiosity about why and they actually still charged me for it! Whatever, I paid $11.95 for lesson learned. Should have gone to Tong's which has class and values customers more than the price of an entree. The clay pot, in contrast, was "good" and my boo liked it but agreed that there was something very wrong with my plate even just from the smell. The pork fried eggrolls were also good. I can officially say this place has the best Pad Thai in town! I was born and raised in Thailand so I know what I'm talking about ladies and gents. Of course it doesn't taste as authentic as the ones back home but this is by far the closest I get in San Antonio. The noodles are soft but not mushy. They are perfectly cooked and not aldente, which Pad Thai noodles aren't supposed to be anyway. We are talking about asian wok noodles here guys, not pasta - but don't be surprised that some other places served Pad Thai aldente...(major mistake!) The noodles retain that springy-ness, if you know what I mean. And this means they use the right type and right quality of noodles. The flavors are right and it has the right amount of sauciness to it, not drenched in sauce and not dry. I will definitely come back and try other dishes here and will keep y'all posted! :) read more

We first arrived with two adults and a stroller and were kindly told to pick any seat. From the start I loved the atmosphere and both the server and who I believe was the owner (a very sweet middle aged lady) were incredibly sweet, patient, and kind. We ordered two bobas to start (a coconut taro and a coconut mango flavor) as well as some veggie egg rolls. Although we didn't order this specifically, they brought out a cup of egg drop soup with an egg roll for each of us followed by our order of egg rolls. I wouldn't recommend ordering veggie egg rolls because the individual egg roll would really have been enough for me. The bobas I have to say were much better here than your typical restaurant serving boba. They were all blended (just the way I like it) and could be adjusted for sweetness. Although my friend's later parted in two - a water part and mixture part, We did enjoy it while it lasted I ordered a veggie broth pho with fish and tofu and was pleasantly surprised to see a restaurant that could accommodate to a veggie broth request with your choice of fillers. It was quite delicious. My friend ordered a pad Thai which arrived very beautifully plated with colorful accompanying veggies. She also loved her selection. The environment there for me felt like home. The sweetness and kindness of the restaurant owner was really infectious and created a very homey vibe. This place is my favorite to go order place! I actually haven't eaten in the restaurant before, but their to go service is super prompt and convenient. The lady who works the register (possibly the owner since she's there all the time) is super sweet! She remembers who I am and is always super smiley. I usually place an order 10 minutes before I arrive, and they have consistently always had the food ready for me by the time I get there. I've NEVER had to wait! Also their food portions are huge, which makes up for their rather pricey entrees (about $12-15)! I normally have enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Two meals in one...my favorite!
