1000000/10 I had a party of 3 walk in a little before closing. The owners Okay'd us to sit & eat. Our first time here as we're from out of town. The food was FRESH & FULL OF FLAVOR My boyfriend got a strawberry margarita & it was not too strong or too sweet. Staff was amazing, attentive & friendly. Highly recommend this place!! We got the combo 6&8 with heat sauce.
If you're a fan of crawfish and seafood boil with an Asian inspired flavor, this is a great spot. Crawfish, crabs and shrimp are fresh, juicy and delightfully packed with seasoning that seeps into every bite. It is also nice to have rice option on the menu! The Sauce, the signature boil, has just the right amount of heat. The sausages are sautéed well before entering the boil which adds a layer of texture to the meal. Potatoes are firm and buttery, not mushy! There is only one spice level for The Sauce, which is Medium between 1 to 5 it sits well on 3. Sweet. Savory. Spicy! Several seafood combo options and add ons as well as other non-seafood entrees. Good selection of beer and wine. Restaurant is clean and welcoming, staff are friendly and attentive! Dessert offerings also available. We arrived early @6 on a Saturday night and seated immediately.
We ordered to-go from Crawfish King in Live Oak, and honestly? For takeout, they nailed it. Everything held up way better than expected--no soggy mess, no cold seafood sadness. We got the crawfish boil, snow crab, and head-on shrimp. All super fresh, well-cooked, and seasoned right. The crawfish especially were plump and easy to peel, which is always a gamble with takeout, but they came through. We chose two sauces: * The garlic butter was light and subtle--not heavy or greasy, which let the seafood shine. * The house sauce brought the heat. More spice, deeper flavor, and honestly the better pick if you want that classic boil kick. We wrapped it up with mango sticky rice, which... yeah, we didn't love. The mango was fine, but the rice was undercooked--kind of tough, which threw the texture way off. A bit of a letdown after such a solid main meal. That said, for a casual seafood boil to-go, they really delivered. Flavorful, fresh, and still hot by the time we dug in. Will definitely order again--just might skip dessert next time.

I don't know if the owner changed, the chef changed, the distributor changed or all three but, the crawfish we bought today, 5/11/25, was bad. Half the bag tasted like it was frozen, and was boiled in water, the other half was over cooked or dead before it hit the boil. The picture showed how small the majority of the crawfish was and the other tail shows how over cooked it was. On top of all that I was overcharged for my order, but, fortunately they said they will refund me the difference so we will see.
This is by far my favorite crawfish spot in North San Antonio. I will drive all the way from Seguin to get crawfish from this spot. The seasoning is Vietnamese style, which just means that it has a lot of flavor, but not like the Cajun flavor. Honestly, their style of crawfish is now a preference since you get flavor as well as a little heat if you desire. Absolutely delicious crawfish. The staff is friendly and they have a good vibe. You can tell that people like to come here for a good time.
Wow I did not know that I needed a Lao Cajun fusion dinner in my life. The food was incredible. This is giving major hidden gem vibes. It's just outside of San Antonio, with great pricing and an excellent menu. The service was friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this cool and yummy spot in town.

Seafood Laotian-style! From good-sized oysters in shells, crab legs, tom yum, crawfish, lobster tails, to shrimp. Spicy to not-so-spicy flavors. The service was good. The place was clean, and quiet, and looked like a new place in Live Oak almost in the Universal City area.
The house sauce was pretty good. I got it on the side bc I thought it would be spicy but since it wasn't I went ahead and put it all over. The crab legs were delicious and the shrimp. Although, I expected some water with the raw oysters. Great portions though and the ambiance was ok. About normal for a seafood place. A lot of options on the new menu. The waiters were nice. Update: I now understand why the sausage tasted the way they did. I didn't realize this was a Thai/lao seafood place.

Our GO TO place for a mean crawfish and crab boil. Their "house sauce" is literally the best flavor - garlicky, buttery, a little spicy. Their egg rolls and jasmine fried rice are also legit. Service can sometimes be a miss but if you catch them on a slow night the staff is super attentive. read more

Absolutely delicious Everything was seasoned well and tasted great. We picked up and took it home and was still hot when we got home. The sausage had a little kick to it and the potatoes where sweet and had a little spice at the end. Even the corn was on point If you going through Live Oak Texas definitely check em out ! Service was great, they even stayed open for a minute longer so we could pick up our order. read more

WOW! WHAT CAN I SAY BESIDES 10/10 AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE! My sister wanted to take me out to dinner at her favorite crawfish boil, here in SA. I'm a huge fan of the boiling crab, and all the other chains we have at home (CA) but it's always so nice to taste a fresh new crawfish boil and man oh man did this place do IT for me! Food: 5/5! THE SAUCE IS SO SPICY + TANGY JUST YAS!!!!! (Dare i say it...) It is probably better Boiling crab. Their sausage, corn, and potato just blended so well with the flavors and ahhh. My mouth is watering for more! The crawfish was thick and big, the head on shrimp was soooo flavorful, and they were very heavy handed with the garlic which I LOVE. All around my bowl of food was out of this world good! Customer service: 5/5 There are lots of young ladies working here, and they really are so nice. I think one was still learning the menu because she had to keep asking all sorts of things, (I had lots of questions lol) but that was totally okay. Price: 4/5 The combo # 6 was $22.00, but I do like head on shrimp, and it comes with head off. I wish they would've comped the $1.00 out of good faith/ loyalty because we were already spending 70.00+ with tip so I think they should've changed the lowered price to the head on that is cheaper on the menu. My sister got combo 5, with extra sausage and potatoes. . Soooo good! All around: 4.5/5 We will definitely be coming back! The sauce is what ultimately did it for US. :) read more
Crawfish is Asian styled spicy! Been looking for a flavor like this! The fried rice is immaculate I'll be back soon for the rice again. The service was a little slow but it was so busy so I can't really blame them. I'll be back for more but the restaurant is really small so bigger parties might have trouble getting a spot right away but if you're a party of two should be able to go in without a reservation. I will get it less spicy next time because I went toooo hot the first time read more

I ordered oysters (dressed) and 2 pounds of live crawfish (one with "The Sauce" and one with Lemon pepper garlic butter) The food tasted very fresh. It was very good. However, I wasn't a fan of the dressed part of the oysters- just wasn't my cup of tea. I also wasn't a fan of the sauces. I was expecting Asian Cajun style, however this seemed much more Asian style. Still delicious- just not my preference. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was attentive and so nice! They had movies and sports playing on different tvs and good early 2000s music. read more

The food is soooooo good! I've been trying to find an authentic Lao food place & I'm glad to say that I found it. My favorite is definitely the Lao sausage. The food just transports me back to my family's kitchen. The crawfish is juicy and big and the papaya salad is the right amount of spicy. The atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. The customer service is great too. I will definitely be back and spread the word about the crawfish king. read more

Smashin Crab who?!? We were in the neighborhood and craving some Cajun food and oh em gee is this place worth the drive for Boerne! The seafood paired with their house extra spicy sauce is just amaze balls and you can just sit here and enjoy your food in peace. It's amazing to think this was a food truck before this location and now we're sad we've never known about it before. Week days they only have dinner hours but a weekend trip here before or after your errands is the way to go. The staff is so nice and explain the menu and the seasoning and the food came out so quick and hot. We can't wait to return. read more

Great service & love the atmosphere (had music on and TVs all had sports on) they have a full bar but me and my hubby ordered and Heineken and I ordered a lemon drop *not pictured* My daughter loved the chicken nuggets & fries And we had combo 2 & combo 5. Flavors on point I will say crawfish on the small side but that's understandable (we are in the middle of Texas) We both agree that the crab fry rice is fireeee Papaya salad Lao style so to me I liked the spicy level my husband thinks it could've been spicier Other than that they do military discount & we WILL be back for drinks and to try more menu items! The best seafood place in San Antonio. You want a good seafood boil? You want to try Lao food? You want your tastebuds smacked off of your tongue and instantly transported to heaven? YOU GO TO CRAWFISH KING. Small restaurant but great service and vibes!! The girls there were so nice and gave us gloves and extra bowls for our seafood boil. We also tried the Tiger Cry and Crab Fried Rice, also exquisite. 10/10 recommend read more

Friendly service. Good food. Service is a bit slow. I was excited to try the crispy rice, theirs another restaurant on the other side of town that makes this and I was excited there was a place locally that makes it. I was a little disappointed, it looks amazing but lacked in taste and it was a little dry. Wish there was some sauce to add to it. The pastry dessert is addicting and I cannot eat just one. I would return but not for the sticky rice unfortunately. read more

We wanted to try this place because they had decent reviews and also curious on how their Lao food was. The only thing I liked was the papaya salad Lao style. I asked for it very spicy and it came out beautifully. It was delicious. The seafood sauce was lacking flavor and spice also I did not enjoy the crawfish. It tasted like not fully cooked or old or some kind of weird chemically taste. Also the egg rolls are beef and more veggies than meat and a five spice flavor to it. It was soaked in oil as well. Overall, I think the food was okay, maybe I am spoiled being from Cali and also I am Laotian myself so I will def compare. read more
