I was recommended this place after I found out my favorite Thai place closed. And it was very good. We came here because we didn't want to cook and needed some leftovers. The location was central to San Antonio but not super close to us in Schertz. The sign and chili mascot are pretty neat looking. And the restaurant itself is super clean and decorated very well. The buffet area seemed to be like it would be well stocked. They have a dedicated to go area. We tried to order the cheese rolls without crab, because neither of us like it. Sadly they couldn't do it and I understand. We ordered the chicken wings and dang they were good. Six wings to an order with jalapeños on the side. Came out fresh from the fryer. Seasoned well. I ordered the 61 chicken pad kee mao, and they say it's served on a bed of lettuce and man do they mean a bed of lettuce. Very fresh veggies, super tasty noodles. We also ordered the sesame chicken and again super good meal. Very tasty. Very fresh. Very good sauce. Nothing bad to say of it. We were here on a Monday night and man it was slow. Only other table there and I think the waitstaff needed to be cut. Because they were bored. Super bored. It was a lady and a guy. The guy who I know said his name but I'm just a terrible human and I don't remember it. Either way a good place to try. I do not know if I would be coming back. We love the food at Thai Chilli -- it's consistently flavorful, fresh, and made with care. The dishes are packed with authentic Thai flavors that keep us coming back, and the service is always acceptable and reliable, even during busy times. That said, the prices are definitely on the high side. While we expect to pay a bit more for quality, some of the individual charges feel excessive. For example, being charged $4 for a Dr Pepper and 50 cents for half a lime left a bad taste in our mouths -- and not the good kind. (Mind you this is also not an upscale restaurant it looks and feels very local and small. ) Overall, Thai Chilli delivers when it comes to food, but the pricing feels overrated for what you get. We'll keep enjoying our favorites here, but a little more value would go a long way. read more

I went to order some food to go and asked for a wonton soup NOT SPICY. Came home and took one bite and noticed immediately that is incredibly spicy. When I called the store the manager said I asked for medium spicy even though I know what I asked for and have the receipt to prove it. We started with Spring Rolls and Fried Tofu. Hubby and I shared the Red Curry with shrimp. We all shared the Baked Fish, which was a red trout. Thai Chili is definitely the go to for takeout in my neighborhood! With plenty of options to appease a crowd, ordering is easy for all tastes and diets. We never dine in so I can't speak to the establishment's inside vibe but the food we bring home is always a hit! Good, consistent flavor and right on par with what you expect from each dish at any other place. My only qualm - I order my dish the spiciest possible every time and it never delivers! I know they don't want to ruin anyone's food, but don't give me the option to crank it up if you don't mean it! Alas, I will keep trying to see if one day I really get a 10. I am happy to continue experimenting if it means I get to eat good food! Last, and certainly not least, the portions are fantastic for the price! The service was very good, however, the bill came with a $3 service fee to 'charge' the card or use a debit card. I'm new to the neighborhood so I'm checking out all the local fair, one restaurant at a time. So I tried Thai Chili. I didn't have time to eat in, so I ordered my meal to go. I love fish, so I ordered a baked fish dinner. Perhaps it was the type of fish I ordered but it was dense and dry. I hate to say, I couldn't finish it. On a more positive note the restaurant was quiet and clean. And the staff were nice and attentive. Maybe I'll go back someday but I don't think I will be ordering that fish dish again. read more

10/10 this place is SO yummy! I used to frequent their other location in stone oak, but that location got bought out by someone else & the quality is not the same as this place. Last time got Phad Khee Mao with tofu and did not like the noodles but the flavor was good. Our waiter Patrick was very nice and attentive. I forgot to leave a review so throwing it on here. Came in today and got the same fantastic waiter. He's so great at explaining the meals I ordered the Phad Prik Pao with fresh tofu. It was pretty good too but not sure I'd order it again. The sauce was a little sweet and the spice level 7 wasn't very spicy in this dish. Next time I want to try the Phad Khing. But we'll definitely be back it's my husband's favorite place and the staff is always great. They also replaced the rickety chairs which was a nice bonus! read more

My fiance was craving Thai food the other day, so we decided to come here. We have been here a few times before, and the food is always good. There were no issues with finding parking in front of the restaurant, and there was no wait for a table. The server was very nice and also attentive. This is a restaurant where you can choose your spice level from 1 to 10. My fiance ordered a Pad Woo Sen at a spice level of 1. I like ordering food that makes me question my life choices, so I order the Crab Fried Rice at a 10. Both dishes were really tasty, but I don't think I got a level 10. My fiance does not like spice and said the spice was "not bad". From what I understand, you can order above a 10 even if they only ask for 1 through 10 when order. I'll have to remember to get a higher level next time. This restaurant is decorated with what looks like little demon heads. They are marked with a label warning not to touch the glass. Kind of reminded me of Annabelle doll because of it being in a glass case and the warning. Not wanting to anger a demon, I obeyed the sign. When I got home, I looked it up, and it looks it might be a model of a Thai Khon Mask I recommend this place for really tasty food but want to remind people that if you like spicy food that they will go above 10. read more

Stopped on my way out of a pedicure and was impressed by the large menu. The to-go order sections looked like this place may have buffet options. I decided on the Thai chili curry fried rice with shrimp. It came with big portions of tri color bell pepper and fresh basil. The portion is out of this world, they filled the entire to go container. I had food for three days! I also purchased the mango sticky rice, which is sweet and delicious. My kids tore that little plate up! Definitely stopping by again to try more menu options. My favorite dish used to have a delightful mix of different vegetables sauce and pork Now it's 1/2 sized and served in a small bowl rather than a plate and you'll get a lot of broccoli cut into huge pieces and rice and not much else. $12.00 for 3 iced teas is just greedy management! I don't leave many reviews however I was very disappointed with my meal. I ordered the wings, shrimp blankets and crab fried rice. I was most disappointed with the rice. The portion was large and can probably feed 3 people, however there were small slivers of sausage within the rice and I could not find the crab. There was also an aftertaste and I couldn't put my finger on it. The description of the wings caught my eyes. The wings are said to be marinated for hours. However they came to me naked and flavorless. The shrimp blankets were great. The sweet and sour dipping sauce that accompanied them helped me save the wings. Food: Today I branched out and went for Thai Beef with steamed rice. The flavor was good and unexpected. Yet there was one strip of roast beef (maybe 1 oz) and a third of it was fat. There was 3 cups of rice. As always their spring rolls and crab Rangoon are off the charts good!!! Service: Three tables of people and it took 5 minutes to get a water. Came here with my mom for lunch. We had stopped at the alternate location on Stone Oak parkway, but found out they are no longer open. Since I was hoping for the buffet, we decided to venture to this locale. Per the waitress, I soon learned this spot does not offer a buffet since Covid; nevertheless they do have lunch specials. I usually roll with curry or the Phad Woon Sen, but I decided to try something different. I went with the lunch special numero 4, Pahd Him-Mapan, spice level 7 (out of 10). I was first presented with a cup of Tom Yum soup with a spring roll and crab meat rangoon. The soup was great and had a nice heat to it that wasn't overbearing. The roll and rangoon were good too, especially with the dipping sauce. The entree was served about 10 minutes later. The food was good but I didn't get the smoky taste described in the menu. Plus, the heat was nonexistent for being a 7. I'm not sure if I will be back since it is not local to me and there are definitely other Thai options in town. RIP stone oak location read more

Best pad Thai in the city! The happy hour combo meal is a great value, it includes a cup of Tom yon soup, a crab Rangoon, and a spring roll and an entree and a small ultra sweet tapioca dessert.
