My new favorite Chinese food spot in town. My family and I love this place! My go to order is Sesame chicken with steamed rice, vegetable egg roll, and egg drop soup. This is a combo for less than $10 . We all get full off of one combo order. The food is perfectly portioned and its so good it hits the spot. It's our dinner after a movie or lunch before dinner spot. Service is fast and friendly. They also do to-go orders which we've done before. I highly recommend this location as the quality well surpasses the menu price. Family friendly dining room. read more

Placed on online order for pickup of 4 entrees. In the notes, requested to add green onions to the chicken fried rice. When I got home from picking up order, I see I have an updated message from Sizzling Wok that they adjusted my total adding an additional $8.66 for making the change to the fried rice. So, I paid $8.66 to have green onions sprinkled on top. They didn't mention the extra cost to me at pickup, and they charged my credit card the extra total without my acknowledgement. There was no way to reply to the message. I sent an email to their contact us on their web page, and they never responded. I don't mind paying extra for an add-on, but the total seemed excessive. read more

We walked in at 4 on Sunday. They have a good dinner special that gives you lots of food for the price (appetizer, soup, and main dish with choice of rice or lo mein.) Orange chicken was good. Fried rice seemed dry like it had been sitting out for a while. I didn't eat more than a bite of the soup because it was too hot outside. The cheese rangoons that came with the special had nothing in them. I thought it would be cream cheese but I barely saw a remnant of cheese? Confused but didn't want to eat just fried wontons. Overall not too impressed considering how many people were coming into the shop. They were quick and I could tell they were working hard. read more

The food here is always on point. It's inexpensive taste great you could tell the people care about what they're cooking and what they're feeding their customers. Just a great overall experience every time. read more

This place definitely seems to cater to take out but there is some seating. Everything was served on styrofoam plates if you eat in. I got a lunch special of Mongolian beef and I upgraded the soup to a 32 oz for $4 more. The soup was good and so was the beef. But I wish there was more beef than onions and green peppers. Service was fast and I would definitely go back for something quick to go. read more

My first time ordering from this restaurant. I ordered for delivery. The person taking the order was very pleasant and polite. I ordered shrimp fried rice with extra shrimp. Sweet and sour chicken. Cream cheese Rangoon and chicken egg rolls. When I tell you they did not disappoint. I think this is the best shrimp fried rice I've had in quite some time. Even though it was delivered it was still at a temperature I could enjoy. The chicken egg roll was delicious. The cream cheese Rangoon was delicious and fresh. A little more cream cheese or make them smaller. I'm not complaining just explaining. Oh and did I mention fast delivery as well. read more

Went by on a Saturday afternoon because I was in the area. Ordered teriyaki chicken and lemon chicken. The teriyaki was small pieces of mostly dry chicken in a thin, sweet teriyaki sauce. The lemon chicken was pieces of breaded and fried chicken, not a breast. The crab rangoon was just okay. I thought the egg roll was pretty good, but not very big. Even the steamed rice was a little dry. Overall, not the best experience. There are probably better options nearby. read more

Sizzling Wok is the epitome of Chinese comfort food. I've periodically visited this business since my high school days and it's one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. It's family owned, reasonably priced, and my friends and I always leave feeling satisfied and stuffed full of authentic food. It's a smaller, cozy hole in the wall place with an amazing staff that's great for casual meals. The menu has all of the usual Chinese dishes so if there's a dish you already know you'll like, you'll be able to find it here. I've tried a lot of their menu in the past, but on my most recent visit with my fiancé we ordered the Kung Pao Chicken with Lo Mein, Egg Drop Soup, and Cheese Rangoons, and the Teriyaki Chicken with White Rice, Egg Roll, and Chicken Egg Roll Lunch Specials. Everything came out piping hot and was extremely fresh. I chose the spicier Kung Pao which had a good kick to it without overbearing your tongue and veggies prepared to a texture that's tender without feeling mushy. The Lo Mein was marinated in a savory sauce that complimented the noodles but also allowed for you to dip in the sauces of your main dish without clashes in flavor profiles. Though I loved my King Pao Chicken, my fiancé's Teriyaki Chicken was even better. The teriyaki was packed full of flavor and the chicken was fall apart tender. There was a lot of the teriyaki left over so you could eat it with the fluffy white rice and enjoy it even after you were finished with the chicken. As for the additional sides, the Egg Drop Soup has managed to have a consistently subtle taste with a rich texture throughout the years, the Cheese Rangoons were crunchy on the outside and deliciously creamy on the inside, and the Chicken Egg Roll was crisp with a lovely filling that tasted even better with the Sweet and Sour Sauce that came with it. If you're thinking that this sounds like a TON of food, you're absolutely right. We always have lots of leftovers, and they taste just as fantastic every time. You're missing out if you don't give Sizzling Wok a try, and you'll be sad you didn't try it sooner. Even if you're not too hungry, you should stop in and give one of their fantastic frozen Boba Drinks a try! read more

attn management/owner!!! GIVE THESE EMPLOYEES A RAISE OR BONUS or BOTH! i dont think i have visited any type of business in recent memory where not only do they do their job well but they are also friendly. and in constant motion! no one standing around on their phone, no one ignoring customers at counters, so sullen looks. just FAST FRIENDLY SERVICE & good food! the employees are always doing something: cooking, cleaning, bussing tables, taking or delivering orders, refilling cups, napkins, condiments. whew! makes me tired watching them. VERY SELF MOTIVATING & INDUSTRIOUS! i always order garlic chicken and it is always fresh, hot and tasty with moist chicken, perfectly crisp tender veggies and a yummy sauce that is a nice consistency. friendly service and busy workers is always a constant no matter what day or time i stop by. read more

This is a hidden gem. The food is fresh! The location is small but wow the taste! They have so many options to offer so your a bit overwhelmed but whatever you pick you won't be disappointed. I used to live in this area and got a menu at my doorstep. Haven't stopped coming since. All of my food is hot and fresh. Customer service can be better, but nothing to make a big deal about. It takes some time, since it is made to order. But the wait is DEFINITELY worth it. We love out of town now, but when we're in town we stop here. read more

Great Chinese food! Fast delivery and pick up! We get a family meal that feed 5-6, we're a fam of 4 so we have left overs! Great flavors and best Chinese food I've had so far in the area. It seems hard to find a good fried rice around here. Or a real one ? lol our go to is string bean chicken, orange chicken, beef and broccoli, crab Rangoon, chicken lo me-in.. and there's more I just can't think of it but very good when you don't feel like cooking !! read more

The staff was extremely friendly when I went to pick up my takeout order. Everything was correct, all sauces and sides provided. Food was extremely hot, after an hour drive home it was still like it was just picked up. The chicken egg rolls and cheese rangoons were delicious. The Sesame Chicken was decent, the Lemon Chicken was over breaded. Lo mein was okay... soups weren't fantastic. I will say I did not feel very good after eating and got a bit sick :( Probably will not revisit for this reason alone. read more

It was ok. I had the teriyaki chicken and ramen because the sign out side said is was the special at $9 however I ended up paying about $15. Oh well. It infuriates me when restaurants don't fulfill orders completely. It's not like the prices are low, the prices are higher than usual for Chinese food in the area. I don't know why it's so hard to put everything in the bag when you pay for it. Check your take out bags people. read more

Food does not taste like Chinese food. Maybe I'm just picky but this place does not have good General Tsos chicken at all.

I'm giving it five stars because it really deserves it. It's not fancy at all. Food served on Styrofoam and plastic silverware at the counter seat yourself, get your own drink, clean your table when you're finished. But the food is really good. And one thing I really appreciated was they gave you everything you needed so you didn't have to ask for it, like sweet sour sauce for your egg roll and crispies for your soup. Other places you'd have to go and ask for these things and likely pay for them extra. And the prices are so good. They have tons of options. All the standard Chinese and other things that I'm not sure what classification they fall into. Service is quick. I'd consider removing a star for ambience/dining room and interior. But a lot of it is likely not their fault. It's probably whomever they lease from that should update/cleanup drop ceiling tiles that have leaked and are stained. The walls need a chair rail/paint. But things are clean, and the decor is appropriate for a small Chinese restaurant. They don't have a soda fountain, but they do have sweet and unsweet tea with cups and ice, which works for me. Sodas are in bottles in the refrigerator. read more

The food tastes good, however they are TERRIBLE at reading the order from online. I have food intolerances and clearly stated no eggs. About 1 out of 2 of my orders have eggs in it. Sizzling Wok - a meal in a plastic container - Chinese Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

This place smells very very good but the food is decent. Ok, ok... "good-decent". I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the chicken quality seemed very low.. along with the breading but -hey- a girl still ate it haha! We actually re-ordered again a few days later bc my favorite Chinese place wasn't open for dinner... it was decently good again but def not my favorite place. Fast, friendly service tho! read more

Really good experience. Just ordered delivery for myself and five coworkers and was shook by the low total. We were all able to take advantage of the lunch menu which features a huge selection of entrees and your choice between an eggroll, spring roll, or rangoons, choice of soup, and choice of rices or noodles. Everyone was given a pretty sizable portion and all the add-ons were delivered correctly for under $50. Food was ordered ahead of time, delivery set for 11:45 and our delivery guy's timing was spot on. Everything was packed well, enough utensils, soy sauce, and extra dipping sauce to go around. No complaints from any of my coworkers, everyone seemed ready to throw this on the 'places we'll order from again' list. It is, of course, pretty typical Americanized Chinese food but if that's something you enjoy, this'll really hit the spot. read more
