Pros. Our wait staff was great. They were really professional and kind. There were two gentlemen serving us. The decor is nice. Restaurant seems clean and well managed. Menu is very diverse with lots of options including many vegetarian dishes. Red curry is delicious. Pad Thai is great as well. I liked the tofu and vegetable rice plate but the tofu was a little dry and not the best. Cons. And these are small complaints. Seating is a bit uncomfortable but I understand they are trying to fit in many tables. The restrooms had one single stall for each men and women. I could see that being an issue during a rush. I ordered a Combination Pad Thai with beef, chicken, and shrimp, and it was absolutely horrible. The shrimp tasted rancid, and both the beef and chicken had an odd, unpleasant flavor that made the dish inedible. Out of concern for food safety, I threw the entire plate away. When I called to report the issue and ask about a possible refund, I was told I would need to drive back to the restaurant and bring in the food--despite already explaining that it had been discarded. The manager insisted that no refund would be considered unless I returned the order. I've been a customer for quite some time, but this experience showed a complete lack of care or accountability. Expecting a customer to transport spoiled food back to the restaurant is unreasonable and disappointing. I would have expected better intentions toward loyal customers, but unfortunately, this experience has made it clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority. I ordered Com Lemongrass Chicken and VN Eggroll. It came with vermicelli noodles under the chicken. My issue and the reason for 3 stars is, NO lemongrass or lemongrass flavor was on the chicken at all. It was a basic wok cooked chicken with green onions on top. Even the sauce to drizzle over, had only a hint of fish sauce. I keep fish sauce in my refrigerator so I doctorate sauce. I didn't, however, have lemongrass!!! Pretty disappointing. read more

This is probably our 10th time and we seem to gravitate to our yummy and delicious selections every time BUT today we chose to try the Bun Rieu Crab Meat Noodle Soup - wonderful broth, tender shrimp and very tasty crab cakes. They do stay busy with takeout orders and dine in, but they are quick to get people in but still provide great service. We never feel rushed and all the servers we have had are great. We've liked everything we have ordered. The large VN Spring Rolls are a MUST. We get them every time. Pho and Vermicelli Bowls are great. Last night they were pretty busy and they usually only do Bánh xèo on Monday and Wednesdays. Luckily they were able to make some. It does take extra time so if you are ordering it just be prepared. Walk into the restaurant at 1pm thinking I missed the lunch rush- only to encounter the chaos inside . Took them 5 mins to sit me and then as I sat at the table and after each worker looking at me at least once - I was approached 12 mins later . The waitress was so stressed out she barely could talk since there is no busboys d the wait staff cleans up. Since I had plenty of time ( sarcasm) to decide and now thirsty as can be , I immediately gave my order. Didn't get my tea til I got my food , 5 mins. Not once during my meal was I checked on , brought extra napkins , or refill of my tea. So plain and simple - the service is 1 star and that only because they are polite / sweet. Now that the bad review is nearly complete.... THE GOOD POSITIVE VIBES! Food temperature and taste were great and tea was refreshing. Pho 4 Star has long been our go to place for delicious pho, a solid bahn mi, and just overall great food. Recently I noticed they were selling house made kimchi, chili oil, and kimchi style daikon so I picked some up and just...WOW! The kimchi blows anything you can buy off the store shelf completely away! I tried the kimchi style daikon and it is sooo good. It's more mild and has a lot more sweetness which is so refreshing. If you're stopping in definitely don't sleep on the little refrigerated shelf they have near the entrance for some of the best kimchi products you can find! read more

I came here during an off time, probably around 3:45 pm for a late lunch. We ordered the vegetable pho and the vegetable fried rice. The fried rice was my favorite from the two. The pho broth wasn't really hot, it was lukewarm and that causes the noodles to not be fully cooked or at least the way I enjoyed it. I would definitely like to give them another try. In my opinion, two people can eat from a bowl of pho and like 3 from the fried rice plate but then again I'm coming from DC where portions are never like this so I'm sure my Texan family would disagree with me. What I'm trying to say is these plates are full sized and will fill you up. The customer service was good also and my dad says this is the only place in town he will get pho from. The prices are pretty good especially for the portion of food you get. I came by here in search of good pho after having moved in from another state. There were multiple places that I had tried, but a lot of them fell short and did not have the flavor or flare I was expecting from a Vietnamese restaurant. Cue Pho 4 Star. I came in the first time to try out some pho and spring rolls, which is my usual order at any given Vietnamese restaurant. The broth was great, the noodles were nicely cooked. However, the spring rolls left a bit to be desired. At my original regular restaurant I went to, I got used to spring/summer rolls have pork and shrimp. The lack of this option (being that you can only select one protein instead of two) kinda put me off from it. Thankfully, they offered the Nem Nuong Cuon, which is a type of Vietnamese sausage that I love. There is a great selection of food choices, even with some Thai food. Despite being named for a pho restaurant, there is a lot of Asian choices for everyone to choose from! So I would say something along the lines that I'm a weekly regular. I come here about once a week, usually on my days off to have some pho. And all the times I've been there, the food has been great. I will continue to go here. read more
