Nasi Padang
Lawrence G.

The only place to get authentic Indonesian food in San Antonio. Ask for what they have available because the Indonesian food is not listed on the regular menu. The food is delicious, service was great, and the staff extremely friendly. The place was extremely clean and not too busy for lunchtime on a Saturday. I had the Nasi Padang and the Satay Ayam. I'll be back to try every Indonesian dish that they make.

About $10 for all this.

A hidden gem. I've lived less than a mile away from here for a very long time and finally tried it and it was a great value and great meal. I'll definitely have to try dinner here as well as lunch was great.

Egg drop soup no crispy noodles and bland

We ordered crispy noodles with all of the meats, beef broccoli, and lemon chicken, and ribs I sent broccoli back it was like maybe frozen broccoli not fresh and reordered mushroom beef, the mushrooms seemed canned I wouldn't eat here again personally I didn't like either entree, but I'm glad I tried it The ribs and those were wonderful. However when my husband used the restroom he said it was so disgusting there was dried urine on the toilet and seemed like it had been unclean for a while. The service was a 4

My daughter-in-law has been coming to this place since she was a little girl and she is now 22. She has been living in Alaska with my son who is in the military and this was her first go to coming home for a visit when I asked her or I could treat her to. We went there and everything was outstanding. Of course the service was perfect, and the food was divine. We had the ragoons,, the eggrolls, the sesame chicken plate, the Hunan chicken plate and the chow mein. The portions were very large and the food was absolutely delicious.

Arrangement with roaches inside after photo was taken it moved around

Went in today and as I was waiting for a pivk up order (not mine..thank God!) I had taken a photo of an arrangement and when I put my phone down and looked again there was a roach on the arrangement. I let the guy and lady working know and then other patrons noticed what was going on as well. Owner isn't taking this seriously and prefers to call me a liar etc. No lies here. No need to lie. So I just reported this roach infested hole in the wall place to the Health Department. Hope you all REALLY DEEP clean this place or people will be getting sick etc. Take the mistake and fix it...not get on the review and call people liars. Ask your staff to show you where it was clown.

The food was so delicious. Started eating right away. Forgot to take a picture. For appetizers we had Cheese Rangoons which were excellent. We also had the barbecue rib selection which was also wonderful. For dinner we shared the fried noodles with vegetables and chicken. We soothed our dining pleasure with Hot Green Tea. They had a number of selections to choose drinks from. I highly recommend this restaurant.

San Antonio is not a good city for Chinese food. This place seems to be typical mediocre fare. Mediocre might be generous. It's not for me.

The best and most consistent American-Chinese food I've had in San Antonio. Takeout can run a little long when busy but it's worth the wait.

I am afraid that I must change my review of Pho Kim Long. I am sad to do so because this was one of…read moremy favorite local restaurants for over a decade. However, my most recent encounter has soured me completely, and I think I will never return. My favorite dish here was something that did not appear on the menu, Bo Tai Chanh salad. Even though it was not listed, they would whip it up at my request. It consists of beef cappaccio on an iceberg lettuce salad with Vietnamese vegetables and a fish sauce based dressing. Tonight they refused my order. What makes this refusal all the more frustrating is that Pho Bo Tai Chanh (the soup version) is listed on the menu and promoted as one of the favorite dishes. All that was needed, to meet my request, was to cut up half a head of lettuce and throw the non-liquid ingredients of the soup on top. Every restaurant should remember the customer is always right. Their only purpose is to meet their customers' requests to the best of their ability. I understand when a kitchen cannot meet requests with the ingredients or equipment they have. For example, I always call 24 hours ahead to order Peking Duck because the traditional methods require that amount of time to prepare the dish. Or I remember being refused a request to have my meat served rare when the restaurant had already cooked all its meat to medium rare using sous vide. I don't expect the kitchen to do the impossible. But every kitchen must be ready to meet special request whether health related like peanuts, shrimp, gluten, salt, carbohydrates, etc. or relate to tastes or ethics like vegetarian, vegans, seafood, etc. To fail one's customers is the first step to being one of the numerous restaurants to fail and become irrelevant. Any restaurant that refuses to meet reasonable requests fails the fundamental test for good service and does not deserve to be patronized. P.S. I end up going down the road to Yaya's Thai Restaurant (another local restaurant) to get something that met my tastes and preferences.

Finally got around to trying this place out and regret not going sooner! It's a small(ish) place…read moreso there was a small wait on a cold day but well well worth the wait! Once we got sat we placed our orders and had food in front of us in 15ish minutes? It was great. The wings were delicious, you could throw the sauce on a tire and I'd eat it. The bowls were so refreshing and delicious and the pho was perfect. I can't wait to go back! Give this place a try, be aware the parkings tight, don't get overwhelmed or thrown off find the parking get inside and be ready for some amazing food from amazing people! Side note: everytime the older Vietnamese women came to clear our plates as we finished she told us good job for fishing our food and tbh it felt so warming and homey without thought

Craving a Banh Mi...this place popped up on YELP with great reviews!…read more Located off of busy Bandera, in a small strip mall with plenty of parking. Lots of indoor seating and menu was easily visible and legible up front, near the counter. We ordered their #1 special, #3 grilled pork, a taro milk tea, and a Vietnamese iced coffee. Both sandwiches were delicious. Meats were flavorful, but what I really loved was the no skimp on pickled veggies and fresh jalapeños w/cilantro. So many places don't add or charge extra. Bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All milk teas are non dairy-they use a non dairy creamer as the base. I love taro, but this milk tea was definitely sweet, more like a dessert. But, it helped offset and balance the savory grilled pork banh mi. My son had the Vietnamese iced coffee- beware super strong lol. He wasn't able to drink most of it. Clean establishment, friendly service, and good food. We'll be back!

We had two grilled pork banh mi and two drinks, viet coffee and Thai tea. I asked for my tea with less sugar and it had excellent flavor. My fiancé loved his sandwich. I liked mine. The bread was fresh, the vegetables were crisp, but I have a strong preference that the meat isn't wet or saucy and Banh Mi 102 puts sauce on their grilled pork. I also saw that they have a special pho coming soon and a fish cake banh mi on the menu. I wish I had seen that one before ordering because it sounded delicious! Maybe if we find ourselves back in the area, I'll try it next time!
