SP1. HOUSE SIZZLING BEEF STEAK
Adolfo H.

I ordered the SP1. HOUSE SIZZLING BEEF STEAK and the steak was amazing and everything was absolutely delicious. Before that I had the EGG ROLL and it was also pretty good. The service was pretty good too we had Aidan and he made sure we're eating well and also made sure we had a good time. I also liked the environment and place overall would come back.

My favorite spot to get pho!I always order the kids pho and usually ask if I can add the veggies on the side. The portion for me is perfect. The broth is SO good. I usually add hoisin to my pho but this broth is so flavorful that I prefer the flavor without it. The chili oil is also SO good. I've enjoyed the pho so much I've gone back so many times already for it. The crab Rangoon were okay for me. The service is fast and restaurant is nice and clean as well.

pad thai, bun bo hue

the ambiance is lovely. i sat in a booth with my friend and we yapped while eating yummy chicken pad thai and bun bo hue. im always on the hunt for good BBH and this place had such flavorful, non-oily broth. all of the ingredients tasted SO fresh. i wish the broth was spicier and had perhaps more of the typical shrimp paste that goes in BBH broth, but other than that, we left very full and satisfied. def getting your money's worth because you get a lot for the portions!

A5. VIETNAMESE EGG ROLLS PHO BY CHOICE (MAX 3)

Great service, very quick and very attentive. We got the pho and grill combination plate where I chose pork and my family members chose the chicken and shrimp. All were absolutely delicious and definitely worth the price. Of course the Vietnamese spring rolls were delicious and crispy. I highly recommend this place as the broth alone is so delicious.

This place is so good and comforting! It always has people dinning here. The broth of the pho is delicious and the portions are HUGE. Pricing is pretty good too. My favorite pho is the one with the brisket. I ended up getting the kids meal last time because I could not finish the regular size bowl. I highly recommend this spot.

Came here for lunch, plenty of seating for various sized parties Parking can kind of be hard during rush hour The Pho had a decent amount of meat and clean broth Bo Ne special was good but def not enough butter/pate The Hu Tieu Kho (dry noods) sauce was kind of salty and the noodles were too sticky and clumped together by the time it got to the table so I had to pretty much pour all my soup in and turn it into a regular hu tieu w/ the dry sauce Bun Bo Hue was flavorful and clean as well Appreciative that they don't skimp on the veggies that come on the side for the meals Vietnamese coffee is strong but delicious, ratio is done right. "Not too sweet." Servers are kind and helpful Modern take on choice of music and seating

These photos don't do the food justice! Went on a Saturday evening around 6pm. Most tables were taken but there was no wait because people were receiving their food quickly. It's a casual sit down, eat, and go place. The pho broth was so flavorful and came with all the usual fixings on the side. The price to portion was great. I couldn't even finish my meal. I'll definitely be back to try more items. The server was polite and service was quick and attentive.

I wish they had different size options, because that bowl was huge! The noodles to meat ratio was on point, and the broth was super clean and flavorful. I asked for my eye of round steak to be on the side, but our waiter forgot. It would've helped if he had actually written the order down instead of trying to remember everyone's order lol, but it's okay. I'm super specific about how I eat my pho, so yeah, I would've enjoyed it more if my order had been correct. This restaurant is more modernized than your typical pho spot. Service was great overall, even though he forgot my specific request. I didn't care for the mango boba smoothie at all, the boba has a different texture than what I'm used to. The menu is very extensive, so next time I'm in San Antonio, I might stop by to try some of the other items. Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5

Pho is flavorful, vegetables are tender, large portions and lightly sauced. Will definitely return. Mushroom chicken and fried rice were perfectly proportionate and filling with light sauce.

Very nicely printed menu (with minimal typos too)

Review for Pho Viet Grill & Noodles Returning to Pho Viet Grill & Noodles after several years was a surprisingly pleasant experience! We came in for a late lunch around 2 PM and were happy to see a revamped, professional printed menu--no more handwritten pricing corrections! They now also offer lunch specials seven days a week, which is a great addition, especially since nearby Thai Hut has a similar all-week lunch special. The lunch specials are pretty good and include options like endless iced tea (sweet or unsweet) or soda, plus a fried veggie roll on the side--although no soup is included, which Thai Hut does provide. Comparing the two, I'd still say Thai Hut has the edge with more flavorful, freshly brewed iced tea, while the tea at Pho Viet tasted watered down both initially and with the refill. I ordered the orange "chicken" (subbed with tofu), and it was delicious and nicely prepared, as was my cousin's orange chicken. My aunt enjoyed her steak brisket tendon pho--the broth was perfect, rich, and flavorful. My uncle had the grilled pork chop, and he was happy with his choice as well. So overall, everyone's meals were tasty and well-executed! One suggestion for Pho Viet's lunch menu: it would be great if they focused on Vietnamese dishes and flavors rather than mostly Chinese-inspired options. This could give customers a chance to sample authentic Vietnamese cuisine, which I'm sure would bring more interest to the main menu. Thai Hut's lunch specials highlight Thai dishes and flavors, making it a standout experience, so Pho Viet could benefit from a similar approach to showcase their strengths. Lastly, a special shoutout to Janet, who wasn't even our server today but went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and valued. Although our server Hy accidentally charged us an extra iced tea (a small mix-up when my cousin switched from Diet Coke), Janet assured us she would address it on our next visit. It's this level of service that keeps us coming back--thank you, Janet! In summary: great food, a cozy atmosphere (very minimal chemical smell from the next door nail salon) and fantastic hospitality. Looking forward to seeing how Pho Viet continues to grow!

Crazy drink (winter melon tea)

Refreshing winter melon tea (Crazy Drink) Perfect for the Texas heat. Pho that hits the spot Rich, flavorful broth with oxtail, soft tendon, brisket, and eye round steak. Added meatballs-huge portions! Bot chien appetizer Crispy rice flour cakes, perfectly cooked. Asked for no green onions, and they got the order correct. Friendly service, clean restaurant, delicious food. I'll definitely be back!

Smells like a nail salon the waiters Don't come back to your table for at least 15 minutes while some of them are on their phones. Pho was extremely good service was alright.

Consistent grade A service and grade A taste…read more Wasn't feeling great so I came to grab some comfort food. After telling the waiter my day was going good he noticed me fighting for my life, head down on the table, and made a point to ask if I was okay again to which I admitted having a massive headache. He brought extra water and suggested soda to relieve the headache and later brought small lollipops. After my tea, pho, and candy, I felt a lot better. Not the first time I received above and beyond customer service experience here and certainly won't be the last. Thank you Peter!

I arrived around 2 PM, and the restaurant was mostly empty. The restaurant appeared clean and well maintained. Service was prompt and friendly, although attentiveness tapered off once the meal was served. It seemed like the staff had shifted their focus toward preparing for the evening dinner crowd. After reading several recommendations, I ordered the Saigon Special since it included grilled pork, chicken, shrimp, and a Vietnamese egg roll. It seemed like a great way to sample several of their specialties. I also started with the fresh Vietnamese spring rolls. The spring rolls were enormous and easily large enough to share. The Saigon Special was equally generous, with a substantial portion of vermicelli noodles underneath the grilled meats. Everything tasted fresh, and each protein was cooked well, but none of the individual components really stood out. The meal leaned more toward generous portions and good value than bold or memorable. Overall, it was an enjoyable lunch with friendly service and excellent portion sizes. While I wasn't blown away by the flavors, I appreciated the freshness and value. I'd definitely come back for the pho, which I remember having a flavorful broth and a generous portion of meat on my previous visit. With several good Vietnamese restaurants in the area, though, I'll probably continue trying other spots before making this one a regular stop.

Finally got around to trying this place out and regret not going sooner! It's a small(ish) place…read moreso there was a small wait on a cold day but well well worth the wait! Once we got sat we placed our orders and had food in front of us in 15ish minutes? It was great. The wings were delicious, you could throw the sauce on a tire and I'd eat it. The bowls were so refreshing and delicious and the pho was perfect. I can't wait to go back! Give this place a try, be aware the parkings tight, don't get overwhelmed or thrown off find the parking get inside and be ready for some amazing food from amazing people! Side note: everytime the older Vietnamese women came to clear our plates as we finished she told us good job for fishing our food and tbh it felt so warming and homey without thought

I am afraid that I must change my review of Pho Kim Long. I am sad to do so because this was one of…read moremy favorite local restaurants for over a decade. However, my most recent encounter has soured me completely, and I think I will never return. My favorite dish here was something that did not appear on the menu, Bo Tai Chanh salad. Even though it was not listed, they would whip it up at my request. It consists of beef cappaccio on an iceberg lettuce salad with Vietnamese vegetables and a fish sauce based dressing. Tonight they refused my order. What makes this refusal all the more frustrating is that Pho Bo Tai Chanh (the soup version) is listed on the menu and promoted as one of the favorite dishes. All that was needed, to meet my request, was to cut up half a head of lettuce and throw the non-liquid ingredients of the soup on top. Every restaurant should remember the customer is always right. Their only purpose is to meet their customers' requests to the best of their ability. I understand when a kitchen cannot meet requests with the ingredients or equipment they have. For example, I always call 24 hours ahead to order Peking Duck because the traditional methods require that amount of time to prepare the dish. Or I remember being refused a request to have my meat served rare when the restaurant had already cooked all its meat to medium rare using sous vide. I don't expect the kitchen to do the impossible. But every kitchen must be ready to meet special request whether health related like peanuts, shrimp, gluten, salt, carbohydrates, etc. or relate to tastes or ethics like vegetarian, vegans, seafood, etc. To fail one's customers is the first step to being one of the numerous restaurants to fail and become irrelevant. Any restaurant that refuses to meet reasonable requests fails the fundamental test for good service and does not deserve to be patronized. P.S. I end up going down the road to Yaya's Thai Restaurant (another local restaurant) to get something that met my tastes and preferences.
