Craving a Banh Mi...this place popped up on YELP with great reviews! Located off of busy Bandera, in a small strip mall with plenty of parking. Lots of indoor seating and menu was easily visible and legible up front, near the counter. We ordered their #1 special, #3 grilled pork, a taro milk tea, and a Vietnamese iced coffee. Both sandwiches were delicious. Meats were flavorful, but what I really loved was the no skimp on pickled veggies and fresh jalapeños w/cilantro. So many places don't add or charge extra. Bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All milk teas are non dairy-they use a non dairy creamer as the base. I love taro, but this milk tea was definitely sweet, more like a dessert. But, it helped offset and balance the savory grilled pork banh mi. My son had the Vietnamese iced coffee- beware super strong lol. He wasn't able to drink most of it. Clean establishment, friendly service, and good food. We'll be back!
Best. Banh mi's in SA. The freshly baked bread makes all the difference! I had the shredded chicken and although it was dry, the sandwich was still delicious. Pho was wonderful with good amount of meat. Great service, fair prices, great food!
This is a hidden gem and my new go to for banh mi sandwiches, viet iced coffee and boba teas. Banh Mi 102 is conveniently located on Bandera Rd and features a drive thru option for those that don't want to come inside - or an online order option if you want to just pop in and pop right back out. It's a simple menu with 8 Banh mi sandwiches & lots of drinks. Off menu, you can find 3 more sandwich options, 2 bowl options with rice vs baguette, and 3 more drinks. Sandwiches are very reasonably priced at 6.95-9.00 & if you buy 10 sandwiches, you get 1 for free (or buy 5 and get a free tea). The pickled carrots and daikon are tasty and crunchy & the cucumbers, cilantro and jalapeño are fresh. The staff are friendly and efficient. There are several tables to sit at, but this is more of a takeout place. 10/27/25: I LOVED my sandwich (#6 with extra pate) & my Vietnamese ice coffee (tho less ice would be preferred). The teen loved her #3 and the 8 y/o liked her #8 (hold the jalapeños). Both of them liked their cookies & cream smoothies. 11/9/25: came here with husband. I decided to get the #1 today and it didn't disappoint. Husband liked his #3 (add pate) and his sparkling strawberry lemonade. He even said it smelled good. So worth my 25min drive. Every. Time.

We had two grilled pork banh mi and two drinks, viet coffee and Thai tea. I asked for my tea with less sugar and it had excellent flavor. My fiancé loved his sandwich. I liked mine. The bread was fresh, the vegetables were crisp, but I have a strong preference that the meat isn't wet or saucy and Banh Mi 102 puts sauce on their grilled pork. I also saw that they have a special pho coming soon and a fish cake banh mi on the menu. I wish I had seen that one before ordering because it sounded delicious! Maybe if we find ourselves back in the area, I'll try it next time!

I got the grilled pork Banh Mi based on other people's reviews, and they were right, it's good! The meat is very flavorful, and the veggies added a nice crunchy freshness to the sandwich. The bread was soft with just the right amount of crispiness. It was so easy to bite! The sauce that came in the sandwich was good too, not too much. The jalapenos added a nice kick to the dish. Overall, a very well-balanced sandwich. They do not skimp out on the meat. I do wish it had a bit more veggies. So, if you like veggies, ask for extra! This place is also a boba shop that offers a variety of teas and coffees. To drink, I ordered a Lychee Green Tea. It was refreshing, and I like that they add pieces (or whole pieces) of lychee fruit to the drink.

I've been wanting to try this spot since they opened! And luckily, I discovered they deliver to me, so I ordered two banh mis--the grilled pork and the special. I liked the grilled pork slightly more because the bread on both were slightly stale and had a harder crust, that the softer grilled pork filling made the complimented the bread better. I'll definitely be coming here to try their other banh mi options and perhaps some of their drinks too!
They have a very simple menu - several Banh Mi sandwiches to choose from, and a couple of bowls (the bowls are pretty much the Banh Mi, minus the bread, but add an egg). The bread - VERY awesome, VERY fresh! We had the #1 Special Banh Mi (Dac Biet) but held the head cheese. The bread was very fresh, but the meat lacked any seasoning. The #8 Grilled Beef (Bo Nuong) was better - the toppings were the same, but the beef held the seasoning better. We also had the Lychee Green Tea - it was VERY tasty and sweet, but very expensive ($5) For those of you that are dining in, it is a very clean, up to date spot, but the seating is limited, and it's on the loud side.

Didn't take too long to get our order, but we didn't order drinks this time. I always order grilled pork banh mis because I'm not a big fan of pate. The pork was flavorful and tender! The bread was a bit thick/hard, but that's somewhat expected with this type of sandwich. I'd come by again if I'm in the area! They also have a drive thru, so I might try that next time.
As an Asian who has lived in San Antonio since 2005, I've been waiting so long for us to get a good bahn mi restaurant like the ones in Houston, Austin and Dallas and finally, I found it. The menu here is limited, which is fine because I want them to focus on bahn mi's, which they do. I love that the bread is soft but still has that nice crunchy texture bahn mi's are known for. And they use both pickled daikon and carrots, which should be the standard but many places in San Antonio only put in carrots. I ordered the grilled pork bahn mi and it was so good that I went back the next day and had another one. I live on the other side of town and it takes me 30 minutes, but I still made the drive. That's how good it was.
I ordered the grilled pork sandwich without cilantro and jalapeño peppers. Like the other reviews said, the bread was freshly made and came out hot. The interior was really clean and had good vibes. It cost around $8. I would say it's worth a try and it tastes pretty good! Only reason why it isn't a 5 star is that I wish that they added more mayo and pickled radish.

I was so excited to find this place and have been searching for a Vietnamese sandwich shop in San Antonio for a while. It tasted really authentic and delicious. I tried the grilled pork and it did not disappoint. Also got the grilled beef, did not get a picture and already finished them. The drinks my new looks fabulous and iced Vietnamese coffee is the way to go. I did request for less sugar and it was perfect. The place is very spacious and clean. I can't wait to go back and try the classic and other sandwiches. I think the prices were fair, slightly higher, but worth it. It is quick service however they were very efficient. Also, had to note that the to go packaging is fantastic and neat. read more

This place is super clean! Menu is straight forward- they sell banh mi and drinks I appreciate that this place makes their bread in house, so it is fresh unlike other banh mi places in SA, that order their bread/ don't make it in house. The bread itself is very hollow, so it's not as chewy as I'd hoped it to be but definitely fresh tasting! All the toppings are great! I got the special (dac biet)(not pictured), grilled pork (thit nuong), and pork meat ball (xiu mai) and the order that I listed them in is the order I would rank the 3. The special banh mi was the best! It had a generous amount of butter and the meats had the proper steamed pork, cha lua, and head cheese-- I wish the pate had more flavor but overall, probably the best dac biet banh mi that I've had in SA and I've tried all the banh mi places here! "Grilled pork" banh mi was not grilled - there were no grill marks or char on the pork- just tasted like they cooked it in a pan and the flavor/ seasoning was not there as there was not enough lemongrass flavor and sweetness to it. The pro to this banh mi is the generous portion of the meat! The xiu mai banh mi is traditionally a meatball sandwich cooked in a tomato sauce. Think Vietnamese version of an italian meatball sub but of course with funk like pickled veggies. While the flavor of the meat was there, the meat was not there (barely any meat in the sandwich) and it was not in the form of traditional meatballs and the tomato flavor was not there. Lychee green tea was strong in tea flavor and lychee flavor so I would recommend. On the other hand, the sugarcane juice was funky tasting. I'm not sure what they put in it, but 1) it either isn't fresh (from a can or carton) or 2) they put another ingredient that makes it not taste like sugarcane juice. There was something very artificial about it and I would not recommend. Spend your $7 on another drink instead I would recommend the special banh mi and the lychee green tea if you're in the area! read more

This is reminds me of San Jose banh mi shops, the most authentic banh mi spot I've had here in San Antonio. Blessed to have such kind service, comfy and clean seating, as well as easy to read menu. The bread is soft and fresh along with the veggies and well prepared meat. read more
Being Vietnamese and growing up in Houston, I am VERY picky with my bánh mì's. The baguette has to be the right amount of soft and flaky/crispy, the meat has to be fresh, the veggies must be perfectly pickled, and the Mayo has to have the right amount of oil and egg yolk. Bánh Mì 102 checks all the boxes. The combo special is pretty great too. It's not the best bánh mì, but it's one of the better ones in San Antonio. Nothing compared to the authentic small shops in Houston, but it's pretty good. read more

Living in Dallas, I was spoiled with the best banh mi and could not find anywhere in San Antonio/Austin that even came close to the quality in Dallas. My interest was peaked when I saw a lot of Vietnamese people recommend this place and as a fellow Vietnamese, this place is legit. I ordered 2 of their combo banh mi, 2 chicken and 1 grilled pork. When you purchase 5, you get a free tea so I got a plain green tea, half sweet and paid to add boba. Also, I got their sugarcane drink to try. Service was friendly and quick. When I took my first bite, the bread was perfect. Soft but crispy and flaky and it's the perfect size/shape because personally I don't like the thin and long banh mi. The veggies are fresh and they do not skimp out on the butter and pate. The only minor complaint is that the jalapeños were spicy. I took a bite of the combo banh mi and thịt nướng and it was good. Even my picky husband and kids enjoyed their bread. The tea was refreshing. I did get half sweet so can't say if their drinks come too sweet. For a banh mi place, I was actually shocked their boba was soft and chewy because even some boba places' boba are hard and not chewy. Sugar cane was also perfect. Even though this place is almost an hour drive for me, I will still come here when I need my banh mi fix. It doesn't beat Dallas but it's also not 3-4 hours away. read more
Banh Mi made with freshly-baked bread is always a winner for me. Good quality bread actually makes any Banh Mi perfectly good if not great, and that's what I experienced this afternoon here at Banh Mi 102. Whenever we go to Austin or Houston the best Banh Mi places are those who bake their own bread. Mighty glad Banh Mi 102 recently opened up northwest side of San Antonio on Bandera Road, they really bake their own bread so it's always fresh and delicious. Now, there's no more reason for us to drive far just to enjoy a delicious home-made style Vietnamese Sandwich. The shredded chicken Banh Mi I ordered was perfectly delicious, tasty and fresh. The way they prepared the filling of shredded chicken, butter, cucumber, cilantro, pickled carrots and jalapeños for some reason magically brought me an extremely pleasant taste-bud experience. The people who work here are very polite, helpful and welcoming. I understand they just opened a month or so ago but the place still looks perfectly pristine and well-kept. I really hope they maintain it that way. From the facade, to the counter and dining area, to the back kitchen and even the bathroom, it's very clean and cozy at the same time. I'm not surprised they got A/100 sanitary rating. Their sandwich and green tea combo is affordably good, the quality and taste justifies the price. The green tea drink is not an extremely sweet and delicious. Would always definitely be driving all the way here whenever Banh Mi cravings attack. A real hidden gem among Vietnamese sandwich places, though I don't think it'll stay hidden long. Classic sandwich shop ambiance, with clean metal and stone decor. About 7-8 tables, though most of the food is packaged to go. The iced coffee is on point, sweet as an angel with the kick of a pissed-off mule. Just the thing to accompany the superb sandwiches. I tried the #1 House special - Pork, Ham, Headcheese, Pate, Butter, Cucumber, Cilantro, Pickle Carrots, Jalapeno. Very good but remember, head cheese is always naturally chewy to a Western palate. The #3 Grilled Pork is superb, with lots of meat along with the veggies. The standout here are the baguettes, which are baked fresh on site. I don't think I've had a lighter, more delicate version of this bread before. My highest rating for this shop, you need to get here and try it! This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. The restaurant is very modern and clean, very welcoming. The servers were all kind and patient as it was our first time at the facility. We shared pho with grilled pork banh mis with the usual pickled veggies, pate, etc. Flavor was amazing. Will come back for sure and recommend it! read more

Bahn Mi 102 is an inviting Vietnamese sandwich and Boba drink establishment. It was the colorful little sign that caught my attention so we stopped in. The menu has smoothies, milk tea, green tea and coffee frappes to drink. There are 6 sandwiches to choose from. I ordered #3 grilled pork sandwich and my husband the #5 Opla Sunny side up sandwich. The staff were so pleasant and friendly. We are already planning our next visit for the #5 Opla sandwich. read more

I went to their grand opening day and tried their Bahn mi ($6.75) and Vietnamese coffee ($6). The grilled pork Bahn mi was yummy. I also liked the pork ham and pate Bahn mi! It had many different types of flavorful meats. I appreciate how they wrap the more soggy ingredients separately from the meat + bread. Service was slower because it was their opening day, and there were many orders. It took us 45 minutes to get our food. But they do have a text system so you can shop around nearby stores and get notified when your order is done. read more
My youngest son invited me to eat lunch here today. This was the first visit for both of us. On top of that, it was my son's first time eating banh mi. It was only my second. I looked at the menu online before we headed over. I instantly froze on the first sandwich on the list called the Special Banh Mi. It listed these ingredients: Steam Pork, Pork Ham, Headcheese, Pate, Butter, Cucumber, Cilantro, Pickle Carrots, and Jalapeno. After that, I didn't need to see anything else. This sounded like something I would concoct at home! On the way over, my son asked if I could guess what sandwich he was going to get. I told him it was pretty obvious. We both ordered the same thing with a sugar cane juice and a lychee green tea as our drink choices. We waited for under five minutes for our food and drinks. I took a bite out of my sandwich and could not believe how fresh, flaky, and crisp the hot from the oven baguette was. With the second bite, I started to appreciate the other ingredients. They were all super fresh, and each one held its own. As my son loudly commented, "That's one hell of a sandwich!" We spent the rest of our time there admiring the clean and bright atmosphere of the place and discussing our "next time" fantasies. That discussion continued the entire way home. We both agree that there was only one thing that would make it better. That would be if it had opened next door to the other Halftime on Tezel Road. That's so much more convenient to get to from both of our homes. Oh well, we will have to put in a little effort to visit this one. The people who were in the kitchen and behind the counter were all very polite and friendly. They really seem to have their production worked to a routine that flows very smoothly. Okay... If you can't tell I love this place, nothing more I write will change that. However, I have to talk about the price. The sandwiches were all about $7. The drinks, which were very nice, were about $5 - $7. We got out of there with the lowest bill I have seen in AGES! So, the price, the quality, the comfortable venue, and the welcoming staff will ensure that I will be a frequent flier at Banh Mi 102! read more

I got the grilled pork and grilled beef bahn mi. The ingredients tasted super fresh. I loved the bread! The meat has a tasty sauce. I think the portion was generous and a good price. It was enough for dinner for me. I also got the tamarind juice. It tasted good and fresh but I didn't really like how thick it was. Personal preference. Service was polite and fast and they also have a drive through. It was clean and cute inside. I would definitely come back and I recommended this place to my friends already! read more
