Delicious, best boba in town. The tapioca is consistently delicious and always perfectly chewy. I made the mistake of trying a Thai tea in another place across town last week because I had a craving for boba and it just made me miss Suck it's Thai Tea even more, I had to come through today ! I look forward to my next visit read more

Suck It is always a reliable spot for delicious ramen! The broth is full of flavor, and the portions are generous. We ordered the children's ramen and the Hakkasan ramen, and both were outstanding. They were packed with meat and incredibly satisfying. I left absolutely stuffed! The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity you get, and the staff is attentive and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. If you're looking for a great meal in the Medical Center area, this is definitely a fantastic choice. read more

It was ok.. I liked the setting as its room enough to seat everyone comfortably. Also I love the little shop they have with international treats. My food however was bland. I was expecting the beef to be more seasoned and flavorful and today it Jsut wasn't. I didn't knock for that because the rest of the dish including my or partners pho was delicious. read more

Decided to venture out of the Methodist hospital for some food and fresh air and came across Suck It less than half mile away. Lovely staff who greet you with a welcome. Ordered the shrimp tempura. The batter was a little dense for my liking, but the shrimp were good. The fajita ramen had plenty of chicken, veggies and broth. Ended taking half of it back to snack on later in the evening. Great little find if you're at the hospital longer than anticipated for family. read more

A small shop with tons to experience! With a name like 'Suck It' I just had to go, and I'm so glad I did. This ramen shop doubles as a mini Asian market with tons of cute merch and yummy snacks for purchase. While my fiancé and I were waiting on our order we took the opportunity to check out all the neat stuff and left with a couple of sweet treats after our meal. Our server was super passionate about the place and reassured me that my ramen choice, the Omnia, was the best choice. Though I only got to compare it to my fiancé's Surrender Nights Ramen which was absolutely delicious, I have to agree with her. It was utterly divine, and the leftovers were just as tasty. The Green Milk Matcha Tea was super yummy as well with a really defined matcha taste and creamy texture complete with some really chewy boba. Another visit to Suck It is definitely in my future and I am so excited to experience more of the menu. Give this place a shot if you're a fan of ramen! You won't regret it! read more

Called a phone order was told it would be about 10 minutes. Drove to location. Order wasn't ready yet. Waited 22 minutes later still not ready. Canceled order. No apologies for the inconvenience. My lunch is 30 minutes, spent all of it waiting on food that I did not receive barely had time to get back to work. read more

We have been here a few times and it's okay. The ramen is okay, we ordered the Hakkasan Ramen and the Angry Hakka (for the first time). The hakkasan ramen was good, but the angry one was not good at all. I get that it's supposed to be spicy, I love spicy food, but it just wasn't good, it tasted like it was a bowl full of Tabasco, just not good. We also got the pot stickers and they tasted pretty stale. Not sure if we'll be going back. read more

Suck It has such great quality ramen. I remember thinking this place was mostly just a hangout boba shop, but it's actually sneakily good with their flavors and quality. The Hakkasan ramen is a tonkatsu ramen with all the depth in flavor you expect. Super tender pork belly, marinated egg and a delicious broth. What's not to like? My cousin got the Alamo Ramen which is a more chicken base. Not my preferred flavor but good for someone that doesn't like pork. I ordered the takoyaki on the side and it was great too. My cousin isn't a fan of how mushy it is in the center, so I don't recommend it if you have texture issues. I however love the crisp outsides and the bits of chewy octopus inside. I'd definitely come back for another bowl of ramen. I feel like our service was somewhat slow, even though it's a small restaurant. It took a while to get our check. So I recommend coming when you're more free on time. read more

An OG must try for ramen lovers in SA. Suck it has been cooking up great Texas/japanese and Vietnamese styled fusion bites for quite some time now. When i lived in the city i normally only would come in for their boba but didn't start eating in til more recent visits home. They no longer offer sushi on the downside but other than that what they do serve is great! The menu is pretty deep and has a great variety of ramen broths and proteins. One that caught my eye were the barbacoa pho and ramen.I like that they found a great balance of appealing to the heavy Latino community in SA while still honoring traditional dishes. The ambience inside has a mix of Mexican dio de Los muertos themed paintings and other Japanese pieces. They even offer some ramen packs for purchase and other hello kitty trinkets. The norm seems to be a casual dress code, almost everyone was in their comfies. I believe they have a wait list you can call ahead to join which would be a good idea since on most my visits the restaurant is pretty busy. The service here is very welcoming and their staff seemed well versed in their menu options, ingredients and always make the visit an easy experience for ordering! read more

Suck It The Restaurant - Angry Hakkasan Ramen and Drunken Vietnamese Ramen - Sushi Bars Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Went in for lunch today as I work down the street. Was promptly sat when I got there around 1 as it was not too busy. The server promptly greeted me with water and took my order. Took maybe 5-10 minutes to get my food! The ramen came with egg noodles, sliced purple onions, cilantro, corn, and chicken fajita. The broth was very flavorful and packed a kick which I liked. Flavor and spice ( not fake spice either: be warned). I did not realize the onions were raw so I picked them out ( hate raw onion). The restaurant also has Asian items for sale like candle and cookies. I'm glad I came in and will be back . read more

I hadn't been here since 2020 when i got pho, but today I tried ramen. I noticed 2 things changed on the menu: no sushi or loaded boba. Anyway: Food: delicious. Get their hearty ramen and blended smoothies. They will not disappoint! I ordered the shoyu vege as it was a vegetarian option, and I'm plant based. It lacked flavor compared to my family's hakkasan ramen, their most popular dish, but it was still a good portion and taste. The blended passion fruit tea with popping mango bobas was my drink of choice and I was BLOWN AWAY. Not to mention the fresh takoyaki balls and chicken dumplings ! Highly recommend. Price: 4 ramen ($12-13 each), 1 pho ($13), 2 appetizers ($6-8 each), 3 bobas ($7-8 each) for around $110 before tip. In this economy that's pretty damn affordable. Ambience: Tight and cluttered space. Not unhygienic- the restaurant and restroom are clean, just lots of messy itens everywhere by the front desk and door open to back showing trash can, eye sore. Little japanese food and merch store are nice though. All that being said I would definitely go again! read more

Visiting the participating AAPI restaurants continues and we stopped at @suckittherestaurant for Friday night dinner. It was our first time dining in. The other times we had ordered food to go. Kayla took good care of us while we dined. I got Dad the Coconut blend bubble tea, I had the Taro Milk Tea, and hubby had the Mango Green Tea. We started with the Shrimp Tempura and Royal Egg Rolls. Dad and I shared the Hakkasan Ramen with an extra whole egg. Hubby had the Angry Hakka Ramen, which was a spicy version of ours. We wanted to try the Barbacoa Rice Bowl too so we ordered that. So much food yet it was all good. Had some leftover with the rice bowl and happily took it home. On the side, there's some snacks for purchase. I was bummed that I didn't find the Japanese rice cracker snacks there. Hopefully they have it back in stock some time soon. Check out @satx.aapi to download the passport and see the participating restaurants and businesses! read more

Went there for dinner on a random Tuesday. It wasn't busy when we first arrived and many tables were open. However, the host would not seat me until my friend arrived, even though I told him she was walking over from the scrub store next door. The food was good, but nothing that caught my taste buds attention. The service was ok. Location was great though. Adequate parking and Close to work. There was a little shopping area with a wall filled with Hello Kitty items for purchase. The other wall was filled with Asian cookies and snacks. read more

I live for the Taro root bubble tea, it reminds me of a cross between Ube Yam and light vanilla, with a hint of fruit flavor as well, it's sooooo good! I haven't even tried any other flavor, which for me is weird, because I live to try new stuff, wether it be food, music, activities, what have you, I usually like to switch up stuff, but this stuff is just that good. They have some type of friend spring roll as well that gets a honorable mention, and lastly, the little store where they have like a million strange KitKat candy flavors you can't find anywhere else in the U.S. as they are imported in from Asia (not sure which country -sorry) but where ever it is they LOVE KitKats ! Also the shrimp potato chips are pretty tasty. read more

Solid tasty ramen. The broth is tasty and the pork tender. You can make as spicy as you want by using one of their flavor bomb

I was very impressed with the speed of service and quality of food from this place. This is clearly the spot to be, as the inside was PACKED. The staff were quick to acknowledge that I walked in the door and quickly took my order. The boba tea and 420 tots were my favorites from this evening! The sauce on the tots was bomb, absolute perfection in my opinion, and they were loaded with ribeye. Easily my favorite part of the meal. My ramen itself was good, but a little too heavy on the seaweed for me. The rice bowls caught my eye as well this evening, so I definitely plan to come back and try one of those next time. read more

How rude is it to come up to a couple with a child who's throwing a small tantrum where you can obviously see how embarrassed we are already trying to do what we can to calm her down, yet make the experience even worse for us by coming up to us and pointing out the obvious. We understand it's a small restaurant, we understand no one likes a crying baby, we don't like it ourselves but it was embarrassing to have to be approached about it. And, maybe use a little common knowledge that "maybe the baby is just hungry" and at least wait to see if she calms down after? But no, you approached us as soon as we were getting served. Food is great, but I feel like every time I come here with or without a child, it's all about what makes the workers happy not what makes the guests happy. Please do better and be more understanding. read more

Ordered two soups and the shrimp tempura. Shrimp tempura was flavorless and it doesn't even come with any dipping sauce. They did throw a single hoisin sauce for all the food we ordered, honestly felt like a spit in my face. Also ordered seaweed hoping it would look like the one in the picture on DoorDash. Nope they just threw some dry flavorless seaweed in a plastic baggie and called it a day. I had the drunken ramen and it was mid at best noodles were stuck together even with a hot broth. Only edible part of the dish was the protein. Super disappointing won't waste my time eating Vietnamese ever again in San Antonio lesson learned. I ordered right when they open so I can only imagine it gets worse throughout the day. read more

First time there was eh okay, me personally i wish i knew more on what to get when it comes to noodles because i'm a picky person when it comes to certain foods . don't get me wrong place was beautiful , service was super amazing and everyone was friendly. In my opinion never go off by peoples reviews . go based off your own experience because if we are being real here everyone has different tastes buds and they themselves just experience things differently than you yourself. Would i try this place again ? most definitely. Would i order the same noodles? probably not lol it's really all about the experience and honestly i liked it. You guys should add this to your bucket list of new places to try. read more

I arrive around 7pm on a Saturday night. I was greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant was clean, well lit, and the music was not too loud. I ordered vegan potstickers (4) and vegan miso ramen. The potstickers were crunchy and a little salty. The ramen had a good flavor and the tofu was well cooked. I leave off 1 star for the saltiness of the potstickers and not so many veggies in the ramen as other places I've had. I can always tell when there is non-vegan cross contamination with how well I digest afterward. I am pleased to report this ramen did not upset my stomach. I will certainly return and add more veggies when I order. read more

Place: You can tell once you enter this restaurant that they took their time to really think about the design. You can feel a very classy, asian, and chic style on their interior. You can see the chef's cooking and see the neat design of the restaurant. Service: It was late night we went here but our server was still attentive and helpful to our need. It was a nice service I can say, but nothing extra ordinary. Food: It's been a while to have a thick ramen soup which is mainly chinese ramen style and it is really good! The richness of the ramen and the chasu blends well. Hoping to go back here and see the other menu. The place is easy to find. Parking might be tough but if you are lucky you can easily park in the front or nearby. read more

Came in by myself mid week for lunch and had an okay experience at best. Nothing that I would go out of my way to recommend. I had tried one of their bobas tea and it was good, not life changing but as expected. Where I was disappointed was I had tried one of their "hot" ramen that they advertise especially is not for the faint of heart and can't be made less spicy.... Well the issue being... I tasted no spice to begin with, so much so I called my server over to clarify that the correct dish had been brought. The ramen I had gotten had shiitake mushrooms which I usually love but gave the broth a mushroom base flavor vs protein base which I'm accustomed too. I didn't finish the dish and despite the other positive reviews I see from others, would be hesitant to return as I have had better ramen experiences elsewhere. read more

First off, service was horrible. No one came to see us and we were waiting at the door for a good 15-20 mins before we were seen. Told us there was a wait so we waited some more, a couple comes in and they were seen and had seats immediately as they entered the door. The worker realizes her mistake and says "oh shit" under her breath and told us it would be a couple more minutes. We were seated and we ordered. Food came back and what I had was super oily and greasy. Barely any flavor. My sister said her ramen tasted like water and my husbands "Barbacoa pho" was just okay. Their jasmine milk tea tasted like watered down jasmine powder. Came here with good intentions because of the raving reviews and also how busy it was but all we had was mediocre food and horrible service. read more
