So here's the thing. They have a sign in the restaurant stating if you leave a 5 star review you get a free dessert. Which makes me question the sincerity of the quality of their restaurant. I dined in and their menu was extremely limited and you have to add everything a la cart unlike other ramen places. On the menu they clearly state do not leave a bad review just leave direct feedback. But honestly, you shouldn't have to bribe or beg your patrons in trying to silence them. Make the needed adjustments to earn loyal customers, like not making them add every single ingredient as a separate charge, playing some music to drown out conversation from the other table, checking on your customers a little more often, and improving the quality of your menu. I love local businesses but the pressure they put on you as a customer, is unreal. I'll try giving them another chance but not anytime soon, I'll stick with Suck It in the Medical Center. read more

Great ramen and Kimbap! Ice cream dessert was tasty! We went to try out this place behind the starbies and lined in between a pool hall and other restaurants. It kinda reminded me of a store in NY but cleaner lol. How is this place so empty at night?? The shrimp tempura was also good and actually pairs well with the tonkatsu broth. I must say with that much food, none felt greasy and I actually feel like I ate a light salad afterwards. The charsu was very tasty and my gyoza ramen was very well done and not over spiced. Happy hour on weekdays are until 7pm with $1 off appetizers, desserts, beer, and sake. We started off with the Edamame. Dad enjoyed the Ramen with Shrimp Tempura, Hubby had the Ramen with Pork Katsu, and I had the Cold Soba. Lots of carbs tonight and it was all good. Both broths were Tonkotsu. I just wish I could've tried the ramen. To be abundantly clear, the 1 star review is not due to the power outage, that is outside of the control of the restaurant. Pretty good, certainly didn't live up to the hype of "The Best Ramen in Texas." We went on a late Sunday afternoon and had appetizers of Edamame, Goya and Kimchi. These were the highlights of the meal. We had variations of the pork Katsu and we all thought the pork was quite bland and the temperature of our Ramen was almost hot. (A failing noted by other reviewers) We only saw one waitress who did a fine job of attending to customers, despite being somewhat overworked. During the long wait for ramen, I discovered this place did not make the Top 10 list for San Antonio. But giving this place try tells me why. Our server came and noticed we haven't received our ramen. When our ramen arrived it was lukewarm. Definitely would tasted better served hot. However, the ramen tonkatsu broth tasted good at lukewarm. The price-to-portion needs improvement. I waited about an hour for such a light portion of ramen. What an amazing ramen place! We started with the vegan gyoza and were blown away! Great flavor and had the perfect crispy outside! We each got our own ramens, mine was the medium thick noodles with creamy chicken broth and with tofu, add bean sprouts, shrimp tempura, and extra corn. The service here is absolutely awful. My party arrived and got sat right away. Shortly after us an additional 3 tables got sat after us. It was very frustrating to see that the tables who got sat after us were the first ones being greeted as my table sat with only menus for 15 min until we finally had to flag someone down to take our drink order. Once we ordered, it took an additional hour and 15 min to get 3 bowls of ramen soup. I also noticed they have a huge sign on the table that says leave a 5 star review and get a free dessert. I guess they have to resort to bribery to get anything above a 1 star due to poor management. This was our first and last time coming here. We ended up here on Valentines Day, because the Oasis has been closed. The service was wonderful attentive. Unfortunately, my noodles had a surprising bit of crunch to them. Man oh man. This place was a hit! I had heard about this place on the news and saw many good reviews on Yelp and I knew I had to try it out. The waitress was super nice and tried helping as much as we can. Every time I try a new ramen place, I gotta try some of their "typical" appetizers, such as the karage and the gyozas. They were both good, we had our karage tossed in a sweet and spicy which was great. Gyozas were nice and sweet with a hint of spice. I had got the spicy shoyu ramen (not hot, I'll get the higher level next time), my fiancé got the tonkatsu ramen. The anime music sets the tone when you walk inside. We were the only ones in the restaurant and were seated promptly. The drink menu boasts many options that are unfortunately not available. Minus 1 Star. Hot tea being among them, I'm disappointed to not have my favorite beverage when a menu promises it as an option. Seems the only thing they offer that's not in a bottle is unsweetened tea and water. Otherwise look to the cola logo drink fridge for your current options. First Visit I tried ramen with level one spicy, it was good but the broth could have used more flavoring. Spice was present but very manageable, I'm normally a spice wimp but I feel I could have gone with a level 2. I did not care for the corn they use, tastes like the green giant canned sweet nibblets sold in grocery stores. I don't care for sweet entree items unless properly balanced out. There wasn't enough savory or heat in the dish to offset how sweet the corn is. Second Visit Tried the udon noodles, very flavorful though slightly on the sweet side for the sauce. I cleaned my plate so regardless it was very nice meal. The fresh edamame is expensive but Very Flavorful and I loved it. We were fighting over the small portion. Atmosphere is nice, so new there's no way it wouldn't be clean. I don't like how loud the music is but my 2nd visit i experienced Very Loud thumping music through the wall I was seated against and feel part of the music level decision was made to drown out the neighboring noise.
