    Shrimp Tempura Noodle Bowl

A yummy mid-week lunch stop! The waiter (I think his name was Adam) was on top of it and was super warm, friendly and efficient. We both had the shrimp tempura noodle bowls...so yummy! Will definitely be back!

Wow!!! What a treat!!! This is my new favorite restaurant in San Antonio! I thoroughly enjoyed Spicy Miso. The first bite was a shock to the senses! Very spicy! But I love spicy! The flavor and the vegetables were perfection! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Cajun Ramen. Looking forward to taking my local friends here!

Came here for lunch to meet with my friend. I had 2 friends recommending Bakudan Ramen. Although we didn't order ramen, we enjoyed our appetizers sitting outdoors. Will probably try their Ramen with my daughter next time.

Attentive staff in a relaxed atmosphere. I have eaten at the Bakudan at the rim and this is the same great food but with a quieter and more relaxed location in my opinion. We were there for happy hour where I had a $5 sake mimosa which was yummy and came with a hichew type candy on top. We also had the honey Sriracha wings from the happy hour menu which had a great texture, crunchy, and spicy but sweet flavor. Last I had the garlic tonkatsu ramen which is always a favorite of mine and did not disappoint. The quality is good and consistent and would recommend. Both locations are smaller inside so don't expect a large place. My friend has the bulgogi bowl that she enjoyed and we ended the night with Mochi for a nice sweet treat.

Thrilled that this place offer a gluten free noodle option for their ramen! Finally I can enjoy ramen with my family again. The atmosphere was fun and cute. Service was prompt and polite. I only got to try the ramen this time but I can't wait to go back to try some of the other dishes. There was a lot to choose from especially if you're kind of tired of the same old thing every time.

Decent experience! This place has a nice variety of ramen bowls and some Asian fusion dishes. I ordered the Veggie Hot pot and it did not disappoint. I love how the hot stone bowl crisps the rice and keeps the whole dish steamy and fresh! They offer table service and/or takeout. My server was very attentive and brought me a fresh drink without me having to ask for a refill. The decor is beautiful and gives you an authentic Asian vibe. Would definitely revisit if in the area again!

First time here. Good was great! I was in a hurry so took my Ramen to go. Service was friendly. Ambiance was cozy and just right.

Loving this place and atmosphere. Staff was amazing and so helpful since I've never eaten ramen. We order the Spicy Miso Ramen. Very clean place.

Bakudan on Bandera.. A Terrific Experience Last weekend, my boyfriend took me to lunch at Bakudan Ramen on Bandera. It holds sentimental value to me as it's where we had our first date at the RIM. Celebrating our anniversary, we opted for this location to avoid parking hassles at the RIM and liked that it was conveniently situated off I-1604 and we enjoyed half-priced apps during Happy Hour. During this visit, I'd like to highlight Ava, our efficient and delightful waitress, who promptly seated us after a warm greeting from the manager. Ava's smile and attention to detail created a 5-star experience and she quickly took drink orders and returned promptly to retrieve appetizer orders. While, the Shishito peppers, Gyoza, Shimp Tempura, Sriracha wings and Spicy Tuna Nachos were tasty, I told my boyfriend that we didn't need them all. I must note that while I understand inflation, appetizers are becoming increasingly expensive, and should not cost around the same price as a meal and without the Happy Hour prices, I probably wouldn't have purchased them. While we enjoyed our apps, our meal orders of Garlic Tonkotsu, Gyoza Chicken and Spicy Shoyo Ramen were out within minutes. The added apps, while tasty were not needed as the wait was minimal. The food was incredible, and the ambiance, along with Ava's excellent service, made our experience memorable. I shared with her boss how wonderful she was and look forward to returning for more memorable moments with my love. Highly recommended~ Da Islandgal29412

Food - food was amazing here, got the Garlic Tonkatsu and Bulgogi Bowl with fried dumplings and steam buns. Would recommend everything Service - super fast and friendly, our waitress was quick to get our drink order and take our order. Kitchen staff was quick about sending food out Ambiance - vibe of this place is really cool, anime paintings, anime on tv, and all kinds of decor to fit the ambiance of the room. Sound system is really good too, kudos to whoever was playing the music

This Bakudan on Bandera is a little more spacious than the one in La Cantera, but the service and food is on par. I have tried a couple of their ramen bowls previously (they're okay, nothing to write home about) and their takoyaki is usually great. However, my low rating now is purely because of my experience with their bibimbap stone pot bowl - it is a ridiculously hot dish with the server handing it to me with the warning "Please be careful, it's burning hot". I understand that it may be required for the sake of the dish for the pot to be that hot but the annoying bit was the fact that the food never cooled down enough for me to eat without burning my mouth. Also it did not taste that great, with the sauce pooling at the bottom of the bowl like a thick soup and making everything pretty soggy. The only redeeming thing was their takoyaki fries - the sauce on the fries perfectly emulated the taste of the actual takoyaki and the fries themselves were done to crispy goodness. I would've been a lot more upset if it were not for the fries.

This place has the best ramen i've had in my life. Not only that, the service is amazing. The food is always freshly made when they bring it out. 10/10 would recommend!

Which makes me question the sincerity of the quality of their restaurant. I dined in and their menu was extremely limited and you have to add everything a la cart unlike other ramen places. On the menu they clearly state do not leave a bad review just leave direct feedback. But honestly, you shouldn't have to bribe or beg your patrons in trying to silence them. Make the needed adjustments to earn loyal customers, like not making them add every single ingredient as a separate charge, playing some music to drown out conversation from the other table, checking on your customers a little more often, and improving the quality of your menu. I love local businesses but the pressure they put on you as a customer, is unreal. I'll try giving them another chance but not anytime soon, I'll stick with Suck It in the Medical Center.
