Cute little sushi spot right on the middle of Bandera shopping center. Small, clean, simple menu. We stopped in for lunch on a Monday and were the only ones there. Ordering is counter service, but we sat at the sushi bar so we were able to order everything directly and watch our rolls made fresh right in front of us. We were given extra kudos for ordering Japanese drinks to go with our food. All the food was great. The fry dumplings were hot and perfectly crispy and the rolls were chilled and super fresh. My husband loved his voodoo roll (crawfish, jalapeño). My spicy tuna was simple, but just as it was supposed to be. Price wasn't bad either. I'm not being dramatic when I say this is some of the best sushi Ive EVER eaten. I'm not joking... I've never actually left a review to a place I stopped by, I'm pretty sure this is my first one ever, but I HAD to because it was so life changing. The environment? 10/10. After walking in and seeing that no one was there we felt a little iffy, the man at the front looked up from him phone and said we could sit down. This is such a nice spot to sit down and have sushi at, the music was nice and soft which made the experience peaceful, and the service was really good for what it was, it was one man working there making all the sushi, but even then it came out in a timely matter. Walked in and it was empty, no one greeted us for an awkward amount of time. Eventually the old guy told us to take a seat anywhere. We sat down and found the menus and waited... and waited... 10 minutes later we were laughing at how no one had so much as offered us water. We were looking at the old man and older woman and nothing, heads were down. We joked about the service but nothing, we eventually left, the old guy did look up and say "okay" as we walked out. This spot is a bit hidden being that they're right next to a Panda Express but it is an absolute gem!! Visiting some family here in San Antonio from Austin we decided to have some sushi. Found this spot on Yelp and rushed over as quickly as I could. No regrets at all! Probably one of the best Philadelphia rolls I've had in a very, very long time. Perfect ratio of cream cheese, salmon and cucumber. The spicy one was just as amazing if you're looking for an extra kick. The bento box was phenomenal as well!! The tonkatsu was delicious! Very thin strips so you don't get too full but just enough to balance out the rest of the plate options which you do not want skip out on. My girlfriend typically never finishes her food but she devoured her bento box and philly roll and shocked me! Disappointed. Ordered the bento box with shrimp tempura. The tempura just tasted like old grease. It came with California rolls that were so mushy a couple fell apart as I tried to pick them up with the chopsticks. To be honest, I'm no sushi expert, but H‑E‑B sushi is way better IMO. read more

What can I say about this little hole in the wall sushi spot?! Probably more than I should. The lady that helped us (I'm sure was the owner) was so pleasant and friendly. She was just very happy to have us in and you could tell as it just oozed out of her. Very welcoming. We opted for the dinner for 2. Chose edamame, spider roll, California roll and 2 sodas. Of course, this came with 2 homemade mochi balls, and cucumber salad. It was all wonderful!! My kids and I are huge sushi fans and we all shared and got full. Definitely not bad for $36. The food here is amazing. It's fresh and made when you order it. You don't get disgusting cold sushi that was made hours or even the previous day and left in the fridge. No, instead, you get a sushi chef professionally preparing the sushi. You can even watch them if you want. The service is good as they're always respectful. I love the ambiance because there's this really cute hello kitty fountain by the cashier that makes me so happy to watch. Overall, the ambiance is quiet, slower pace race restaurant even for a Friday there was only 3 couples eating there. Everybody was eating next door at Panda. The service was excellent and the two gentlemen were great and very hospitable. Now for the food. The sushi roll menu was very limited, around 15 rolls on the menu and if you live sushi like me, not really anything that stood out. I had the house roll and that was pretty good but just average for my taste buds. My guest doesn't like sushi as much and like the simple rolls and they thought it was good. Overall, I'm looking for sushi and you love sushi, probably need look for another place. If you like Sushi and looking for a no frills and no exotic or different rolls and like the basic rolls, this is probably your place. We came here on a Saturday night around 4:30. There were a few people in here but it stated to fill up before we left. The sushi was fresh and cheaper than sushi from H‑E‑B. We ordered the California Roll, Crab Crunch Roll and the Spicy Salmon Roll. My husband split these and were full. Our friends ordered the California roll, Crab Crunch Roll and Dumplings. This is my go to sushi place in san antonio for a "cheap" price! The rolls are fresh and you can taste the warmth of some of their rolls as they bring it out to you. My personal favorite is the shrimp tempura roll and the Las Vegas Roll is also a good choice for salmon lovers! Their cup of miso soup is warming and comforting as well as simple and flavorful. I love to also get the fried dumplings with my meal, the sauce has a little kick to it and the dumplings are crispy as well. I will note that the service can be slow if there are a lot of people in the restaurant, because of understaff issues however I love the staff there, they are friendly and they are providing great food. We also ordered rainbow roll and combo B., Which we got a nice assortment to include octopus, yellow tail, among the other standard offerings. Was very happy with the whole meal. Had a really good experience here! Been meaning to try this place out for a while now. Sushiholic is located in the Bandera Pointe shopping center right next to the Panda Express. When you first walk in there is a counter where you place your order and then find a table. There is a big menu on the wall to the right of the counter. The sushi here is very reasonably priced! Single rolls ranging from $7 to $15, not too bad! They have daily specials and happy hour so make sure to keep an eye out for that. We decided to go with their dinner special for 2 which includes: choice of 1 appetizer, choice of either miso soup or salad(for 2), 2 sushi rolls, 2 beverages and mocha ice cream for $30. Pretty good deal! Everything was brought out to us in timely manner with nice pacing between each course. Everything tasted delicious! The tempura fried shrimp, miso soup and rolls were all delicious and tasted fresh! I would recommend getting the San Antonio roll. Plus the staff here are super sweet and friendly. Definitely willing to help you with making choices from the menu. This place is super casual and intimate, so it's perfect if you want a nice quiet dinner. Be aware that they are closed on Wednesdays in case you plan to go during the week. We will definitely be back here when we're craving sushi! read more

This is my go to sushi spot. The menu isn't too big or too small. Anything you order will be good. I recommend the sashimi, any sushi roll, the shumai, and the takoyaki. I get all of them every visit. Voodoo and Las Vegas rolls are some of my favorites. The staff and owners are very friendly. They carry sake and some of the popular Asian beers. It's kind of a hidden gem that you might not find unless you know where it is. Been here many, many times and have never had a bad experience and I for sure know that I never will. My friend and I went to grab some sushi at 8. The second we entered, we were slightly ignored. When they finally addressed us, there was an attitude in the way they asked if we were dining in. They told us we could seat ourselves and order at the counter when ready. When we sat down, the chef and the manager (?) started talking about how they close in a hour.
