Killing time before I had to go pick up my mom, I stop into this neighborhood spot to try something different. After looking over the menu board I decide to go with the hibachi chicken bento box. This way I can try a little bit of everything. I get my order, sit down and begin to chow. I start with the spring rolls then the gyoza (fried chicken dumplings). Both are lightly fried with a flaky outer crust and with juicy fillings in the middle. Next, I move on to the California roll (4 pieces) and top off with some soy sauce. A little dry but pretty good. The mixed veggies are also good and add some good nutrients to the meal. The hibachi chicken is topped off with some a glaze (teriyaki I think?) that really makes it pop and just blends well with the steamed rice and soy sauce. The rice had a good sesame flavor, but unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn't live up to expectations. The chicken was just okay not terrible, but definitely not great, especially for someone who's a bit picky. One of the biggest disappointments was the appetizer. I paid the price of a full meal for just eight cheese-stuffed wontons felt like a rip-off. Also, not sure what's going on in the kitchen, but the food made my entire truck smell like propane on the ride home. Super off-putting. I was curious to try their noodles, but you're forced to choose between rice or noodles with a protein no option to just get a side. Overall, not worth the price or the smell. read more

solid 4 stars & lemme tell you why! yum yum yum. i got the bento box that comes with noodles, chicken, 2 sushi's, egg rolls, gyoza, and veggies. everything was good but the only thing was that the noodles had an overpowering sauce on it, maybe too much sauce? furthermore, the bento box was flavorful and i loved it. service was good too, they have a drive thru and we had a good chat with the person working there. read more

Q Habachi is a new family favorite! People say you can only choose 2 out of good, fast, and cheap. But somehow they do all three! For my family it was only $50 for 4 generously portioned meals and an order of 8 cheese wontons, and that's including tip! My brother said it was too much for him and added some to my already stuffed plate. I couldn't finish it! It was really flavorful and hot! The southside finally got a Japanese restaurant. It may not be a fancy sushi place but who needs that? Q's Hibachi serves sushi and if you're not comfortable eating raw fish, you can get their hibachi combos or plates. It's hard to choose what meat to get, beef, chicken or shrimp. It's all good and comes with steamed rice and veggies. The service is friendly and the prices aren't bad at all. Perfect replacement for Beijing Express. I wish there's one closer to me but this will have to do. read more

This has become our go to spot when we are craving a good teriyaki chicken and beef fried rice! We discovered them on Facebook shortly after their grand opening. This location is much closer than our previous go to spot and very close to my in-law's house. We gave it a shot and we are hooked! Excellent food to go with the fantastic service! We wanted to try something different. We live on the southside and people talk about this place all the time. So we took a chance on it. It was soooo good! So much to choose from. The workers were very helpful in helping us chose what to get. My wife got the chicken bento and I got the beef bento. So good, a ton of food and the price point was excellent. Our came with choice of meat, fried rice, sushi, 2 spring rolls, 2pot stickers and veggies. The drink was also huge. I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone seeking something different. The california sushi was good, I will probably go again just for it since it is very affordable. Everything else was completely saturated with oil I could feel it gush out in the spring roll and chicken dumpling (heavy taste of old frying oil). The noodles had a rubbery consistency and the chicken had a charred flavor to it (my guess from an uncleared grill or burnt marinade). I also waited 17 minutes in the drive thru. Let me begin by saying this is my second time here this week. I was VERY skeptical about the opening of Hibachi Express, given the previous owners of the building was a very sketchy Beijing Express. Have yet to eat inside but, our drive-thru take out the other night was great. Portions were plentiful, you absolutely get what you pay for. We haven't tried any of the sushi rolls here, we eat a lot of sushi and I wasn't prepared for disappointment. However, this may not be the case given the quality and freshness of what we have tried which includes the beef/shrimp hibachi with fried rice and the chicken/shrimp with noodles. Had salmon and shrimp bento with fried rice. Good value but shrimp are the frozen variety, fried rice with disappointing. The rice was NOT fried rice per se...this was plain rice coated in brown sauce. Fried rice should have at least had green onions, veggies, and egg with a light soy. read more

Came here for dinner the other night. This restaurant is very nice and clean inside for those wanting to dine-in. Hibachi combo was delicious and you can get refills on drinks when dining in. Service was excellent -- Michelle and staff and super friendly and inviting. They get lots of orders for pick up and drive thru, so that means food is great bc everyone comes back for more.
