The seiza experience was fully booked during our visit, so we were seated at a table near the sushi bar. We started with the gyoza and tuna sashimi. Neither was particularly remarkable, but both were enjoyable. For dinner, we ordered the Sukiyaki and Tokyo Inn Dinner, which made for a fun family-style meal. The vegetable tempura was traditional and well prepared, although unfortunately it arrived a little on the cool side. The sukiyaki was the standout for me, with its sweet broth and braised beef paired with fresh bamboo shoots. The sashimi included with the Tokyo Inn Dinner was fresh and enjoyable as well. Overall, I'm glad we had the experience. That said, I think Niki's Tokyo Inn is more suited for foodies who have some familiarity with Japanese cuisine since menu isn't particularly descriptive. It could easily be a 4 star if we had a designated server guide us through the menu options.

Both times I had rice lager specially brewed for the restaurant, and it was delicious. An absolute highlight on Sunday was the dish called Hand of God - the smoky wagyu on top of the rice cake was just an absolute perfection, not anything I had before (this dish was not available on Tuesday). We also had similarly smoky vegetable roll which was also experience in itself. This was my first time at the sushi restaurant where waiter suggested that the nigiri pieces are perfectly ready to eat, require no extra soy sauce or wasabi, and should be picked up by hand instead of chopsticks - another wonderful experience. I also had few different nigiri piece, two different types of mackerel and uni - an absolute wow (on Sunday). Service was good both days, but still a little bit better on Sunday (better recommendations). Definitely recommended.

My friend tried the fried fish dish and didn't enjoy it and he never complains about food. Service was odd too; they tried to act as if it was a bougie restaurant but the service didn't quite measure up. I felt a little rushed and our server wasn't really friendly.
