The chicken pho ($14) was a very large portion of chicken and bean sprouts, though with no other veggies except cilantro. It was definitely enough for two people, as was the iced tea ($3.50) which was almost 3x times the size of a soda can - guess everything really is bigger in Texas! The summer rolls ($7.50 for 2) had both pork and shrimp and came with a great peanut dipping sauce. read more

We had the sesame chicken lunch special. It comes with the chicken ... white rice and two crab Rangoon for 11.99$ I got the chicken vermicelli bowl which was sooooo good. I like to mix them all together and add sarachi sauce! It makes for a delish meal! The owner Jackie is sooo nice and very accommodating. She was quick to serve us and so helpful. First, I don't know if this restaurant changed ownership or just changed the name, but the name is now "Pho - Banh Mi" Second, I'm glad that I decided to go there on a whim - the number of one-star reviews here probably would have scared me away. I ordered the "V1. Grilled Pork Fried Spring Rolls Vermicelli", which wasn't the cheapest thing on the menu, but I was rewarding myself for getting in a short run and my steps for the day. I found everything to be flavorful - especially the grilled pork and the fried spring roll. I liked that there were some vegetables in the dish; and probably would have enjoyed more of them. The person manning the front of the business was attentive and immediately greeted me upon entry and seated me with a menu right away. She also seemed to notice when I was ready to order. The food was brought out very quickly - and the fried spring roll was very freshly hot! The ambiance is nothing to write home about, but that's to be expected for a "strip mall with a drive through" storefront. Everything looked clean. New management taken over 3 months ago. Have driven past a lot but never went in. I like it. Very clean and the staff were very friendly. Hours 10am to 9pm. The menu and benches looked brand new. We got Vietnamese Coffee, Sweet Tea, Summer Rolls, P2. Pho choice 2 meat eye round steak and brisket. Also ordered the All Day Special Orange Chicken. All of it was so good. Great little hidden gem. My husband and I had summer rolls. He had the chicken vermicelli bowl and I had the spring roll vermicelli bowl. Every thing was delicious!! Hidden gem! Coming from Houston where Vietnamese food is king, and fantastic, it was hard to find a place here in SA that stacked up. But the pho broth here is SO good that I actually DON'T WANT to put hoisen or Sriracha in it. I also tried in of the pork noodle dishes and was impressed with the amount of real flavor the pork had. Post Fourth of July weekend festivities, I was in desperate need of Pho. I was hoping to find a place that I could easily order online & swing by to pick up. After a quick google & yelp search, I was able to place my order at Vietnamese Express. When I arrived, I found out that they had a drive-thru *score!* The woman at the drive-thru was friendly & had my order ready for me. I ordered Chicken Pho & summer rolls. They were just what I needed to initiate my recovery process from the holiday weekend . The Pho broth had great flavor & they provided all of the toppings I could need. They even added red onion slices. I have never had those in my pho but they worked quite nicely. The noodles were perfect consistency. The summer rolls could've used a few more shrimp but they were still delicious. Especially paired with the sauce that comes with them. As soon as you pull up to the menu, the speaker does not work. That's fine. So when you're looking at the menu, there are no prices. Why? That's already a red flag. I pulled up to the window and the lady that works there greets me. She asks what I want. I tell her I need to see the menu first so she hands me the menu. I order the pho meatballs because it is $7.99. My total was $9.90. How? How is that possible? When I get home and open up the plate, there is only three meatballs cut in halves. Okay. There is also no basil nor are any condiments with my order. No hoisin or hot chili pepper. Broth is also very watery and you can see through it. Small portions of noodles and meat.
