Simply wonderful. Came on a chilly evening with dark and stormy weather out. Stepped into the room of happy families all sharing noodles. It was so cozy and warm in there, with clean tables and sweet people serving and greeting me as soon as I walked in. I get #3 and sip on the delicious broth, crunchy veggies and satisfying noodles and read. I love this place.

I prefer a mom and pop place when it comes to Pho and this place is exactly that. Nice folks. The kid that serves is sweet and nice. We will continue to visit this place multiple times a month. See you there!

Service was quick. Our waiter was very attentive. I wasn't a fan of the spring roll it didn't have much flavor and the rice paper was chewy. The pho was so good! So were the fried rolls.

The restaurant has updated since my last visit. There was music playing and the lighting was much brighter. My food was good the pork in the spring rolls was dry but the peanut sauce helped. There were also three other sauces available at the table for the rolls I got and the food came out quick. The staff was attentive and helpful when I asked questions. They also brought out large glasses of water before you even ordered.

Second visit... My first visit was great. I ordered the Duck (Egg) Noodle Soup to-go previously and it was good. Duck was fine, lots of large brown mushrooms and a very hot and savory broth that made me crave it again. And then there was my SECOND visit... So I returned to dine in this round. Was excited to order the same duck noodle soup. Sad to say, it was a total let-down (enter tears). The bowl arrives and I think they've made a mistake because it looks so plain. The duck meat is super dried out, just bizarre looking and tough to bite into (see photos). There are no mushrooms or anything else to add to the soup and what really bothers me is that this is by far the most expensive soup on the menu. Ugh. I felt really taken advantage of. I left half the bowl behind as it was inedible. The server was uninterested in whether I enjoyed it or not. I will likely not return if this is the inconsistency one can expect. Of course, pho is their specialty so maybe I should drop in for that. I don't know. Try it for yourself and write your review! I'd love to hear about your experience.

Clean interior with plenty of seating.

Same great taste. Miss the old Fried Egg Rolls with fish sauce. Always my go to when I have the sniffles, spicy broth is perfection.

In San Antonio meeting my niece and her friends after a DCI competition. All three wanted something…read moredifferent than the usual food provided by them during the competition.... All wanted Pho. After reading different reviews and based on our location, we decided on Pho Kim Long. Little place right on the corner. When we walked in, place was busy... Noon on a Saturday but we were seated right away. The wait staff was super friendly. We ordered an order of Crab Ragoons and each of us ordered a bowl of Pho. The Crab Ragoons were very good sin size and portion of cream cheese to wrapper. Freshly fried.. Crispy on the outside and soft warm in the inside. I got the combination Pho with Brisket, Rare Steak and Meatballs. Good portion of each type of meat. Broth was hot and so very comforting. Great sense of complex of spices in the broth. Nice portion of the traditional garnishes that comes with Pho. All of us were able to equally share them. Prices very reasonable and all of us left with our tummies full. Not from the San Antonio area but if I was, I'll be making this a regularPhod spot!

I am afraid that I must change my review of Pho Kim Long. I am sad to do so because this was one of…read moremy favorite local restaurants for over a decade. However, my most recent encounter has soured me completely, and I think I will never return. My favorite dish here was something that did not appear on the menu, Bo Tai Chanh salad. Even though it was not listed, they would whip it up at my request. It consists of beef cappaccio on an iceberg lettuce salad with Vietnamese vegetables and a fish sauce based dressing. Tonight they refused my order. What makes this refusal all the more frustrating is that Pho Bo Tai Chanh (the soup version) is listed on the menu and promoted as one of the favorite dishes. All that was needed, to meet my request, was to cut up half a head of lettuce and throw the non-liquid ingredients of the soup on top. Every restaurant should remember the customer is always right. Their only purpose is to meet their customers' requests to the best of their ability. I understand when a kitchen cannot meet requests with the ingredients or equipment they have. For example, I always call 24 hours ahead to order Peking Duck because the traditional methods require that amount of time to prepare the dish. Or I remember being refused a request to have my meat served rare when the restaurant had already cooked all its meat to medium rare using sous vide. I don't expect the kitchen to do the impossible. But every kitchen must be ready to meet special request whether health related like peanuts, shrimp, gluten, salt, carbohydrates, etc. or relate to tastes or ethics like vegetarian, vegans, seafood, etc. To fail one's customers is the first step to being one of the numerous restaurants to fail and become irrelevant. Any restaurant that refuses to meet reasonable requests fails the fundamental test for good service and does not deserve to be patronized. P.S. I end up going down the road to Yaya's Thai Restaurant (another local restaurant) to get something that met my tastes and preferences.

I'm glad they had room for us but, it's still safe to make reservations. We did not know they are a tapas style restaurant, but that didn't deter us. Dumplings - 9/10 Gulf Shrimp & Noodles - 10/10 Blistered Green Beans - 10/10 Ramen - 9/10 Service was great. It's a casual atmosphere, but perfect for an intimate date night.

Light dish. Tc double cheese burger: very strong flavors, somewhat sweet. Dense/heavy dish . Our waiter was quick and friendly. The restaurant lighting was dimmed and gave a more intimate /bar environment. I think the ac was broken here because it was very warm and they had fans going on around the room. I think this place would be good for someone who is prefers an American fusion cuisine that leans heavily on the western style dishes. The fusion elements were cute but I still left unsatisfied but still full. We did not park. We walked here right from the river walk. Not a bad place to go if you arrive in town after 9 pm.
