I came here this weekend with a friend to enjoy some pho. We came by when it opened and was able to be seated quick. The inside was nice, clean and plenty of seats around. The lady that served us was very nice and patient with us. She helped to explain some of the stuff on the menu. She was able to get our order in and get us the food pretty fast thankfully. We had the spring rolls with shrimp and it was alright. It didnt have much flavor but mixing up some sauce with it helped. My friend wasn't a fan of the wrap since was a bit chewy. I loved the fried rolls though good texture and liked the fish sauce. I had ordered the brisket pho and it was delicious. Loved the meat was cooked well and plenty of noodles and broth. I mixed my own sauce into it and it was awesome. I ended up taking half of it home and still came out great. Overall it was a good experience and definitely plan to come back soon. read more

Simply wonderful. Came on a chilly evening with dark and stormy weather out. Stepped into the room of happy families all sharing noodles. Ok, I'mma say something this restaurant is my favorite Pho restaurant ever, like me and my fiancé go there at least once a month and it's always just so delicious. They never messed up on an order and everyone there is so friendly and nice. And the environment is just so wonderful. I love their background music. It's very unique. I asked my mother to pick up a meal for me since I was in a work call and told her I'd repay her.....$25 for a simple meal that wasn't even that heavy. I've been coming here for years! And I'll always be coming back. Every time, their pho ALWAYS hits. Trust. I'm Vietnamese and obviously I'll always say my mom's pho is the best, but this one is second for sure. Their grilled pork & shrimp spring rolls are soo good & fresh, (add some chili garlic to your peanut sauce to give it a kick if you're a spice lover). & if you're in the mood for something that isn't pho- try the beef and broccoli with rice. The restaurant has updated since my last visit. There was music playing and the lighting was much brighter. My food was good the pork in the spring rolls was dry but the peanut sauce helped. There were also three other sauces available at the table for the rolls I got and the food came out quick. The staff was attentive and helpful when I asked questions. Second visit... My first visit was great. I ordered the Duck (Egg) Noodle Soup to-go previously and it was good. Duck was fine, lots of large brown mushrooms and a very hot and savory broth that made me crave it again. And then there was my SECOND visit... So I returned to dine in this round. Was excited to order the same duck noodle soup. Sad to say, it was a total let-down (enter tears). The bowl arrives and I think they've made a mistake because it looks so plain. The duck meat is super dried out, just bizarre looking and tough to bite into (see photos). There are no mushrooms or anything else to add to the soup and what really bothers me is that this is by far the most expensive soup on the menu. Ugh. I felt really taken advantage of. I left half the bowl behind as it was inedible. The server was uninterested in whether I enjoyed it or not. I will likely not return if this is the inconsistency one can expect. My usual...beef and tendon bowl with shrimp spring roll for appetizer. Same delicious broth with beef or tendon in every other bite. They give you a heaping plate of bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño slices and lime to sweeten the deal. The price point...even the finest budget-ista can come here regularly. My dinner cost me a whopping $17.38 including tax! All it takes is one time to know this is your go-to noodle shop. Right across the highway from Ingram Mall, it's easy to get to off the access road. Finally a good pho spot. My partner and I got the #1 Raw steak pho, the broth is super flavorful 10/10. The workers barely spoke to us and the place was busy. We didn't wait for a table but we did wait almost 40 minutes for our pho. The wait was worth it. An older male worker sat in our face and even stood in front of us and watched us eat, a little awkward and weird but he eventually found other people to watch lol. Overall we'll be back. read more

I felt an immediate sense of a welcoming family environment as soon as I walked in. My second time ordering here one of my sides was forgotten; I called to let them know and they immediately apologized (they didn't need to, mistakes happen) and asked if I could come back. If you're wondering if there is going to be enough food in the large to justify ordering it, fear no more because there is. My husband emptied his bowl and didn't need more, meanwhile I'm going to be sticking to medium sizes from now on when I come to Pho Ha Long. The broth was flavorful and light, the noodles were perfectly cooked, the goi cuon was fresh and so were the bean sprouts and thai basil. The peanut dipping sauce was a bit more fluid than other places, but it was good and stuck to the rice paper on the goi cuon well. Additionally, we got a single Vietnamese iced coffee to-go... definitely a great way to finish off your meal. Warning though, if you're not use to the bitterness of it (which is cut a bit with the condensed milk) just be prepared for it. It's amazing though once you get used to it! The service was friendly and quick. After the food is delivered they don't just forget about you. They'll come and check if you need more water or anything else. Best Pho restaurant i have ever tried in San Antonio. I am from California, and i have been trying different restaurant and this one hits the spot. It is perfect meat, perfect soup broth. Just perfect everything. I would order every once a week for #4 & #6. The brisket is the best ever compare to any pho places.
