I also ordered a California Roll and it was nothing to write home about, wouldn't order it again. My husband and I tried Artea for an early dinner and the place was crowded! As you enter, you grab a menu and place your order at the counter. They have quite a few options from food to creative drinks. We each placed our orders along with regular black tea. I believe I had the chicken teriyaki and my husband had a bento box. The food was hot and the flavor was very good. I we both enjoyed our selections very much. It is very crowded and it can be a little noisy. Came out to try the new Poke Nachos. I was absolutely blown away with the presentation and the array of complimenting flavors! There was quite a line but it moved quickly. Melanie was so helpful with describing the menu it made ordering super easy. Plenty of seating inside, but once it cooled down we moved outside. The Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken was wonderful, moist, spicy, and crunchy. My go to is anything Mango or Coconut, but I must say the two together is amazing. I always hesitated to try this place because the name made it sound very tea-focused, and the meals looked too small for dinner. But we decided to try it today and we were honestly BLOWN AWAY! First of all, I've walked into the other location before, and this one is WAY bigger and beautifully decorated. So clean and made for a larger crowd. The food was prepared quickly, served immediately while hot, and the staff was the most patient and cordial I've ever met. It's counter service but the kitchen runner brings your food to you, and you get your silverware and boba when it's ready from the front counter. The set up is a bit different but totally user friendly. We got 3 appetizers, 3 teas, and 5 entrees and only paid 125 before the tip. Pretty darn good considering the massive serving sizes and amazing flavor and quality. I highly reccommend the teriyaki chicken don and tonkatsu ramen. Located amongst several other eateries, this place is a must try. You order at then counter and pick a seat. Our order was prepared quickly. We started with the Spicy edamame which had good flavor. Drinks are prepared in a boba style cup, pretty small but I can't remember what "size" we ordered. They have drinks to go and some come in reusable bottles with screw on lids. We tried the ribeye fried rice and it was delicious. This is a $25 bowel but a large enough portion to take leftovers. Kids ate a California roll and a bowel ramen noodles, no complaints. We haven't been to @drinkartea in a while. We typically go to the DeZavala location but found out that Marissa would be at the Culebra Commons location yesterday so we decided to check it out! The space is much larger and even have a covered patio area. I got Dad the Strawberry Frappe, I had the Butterfly Pea Special, and hubby had the Signature Milk Tea with lychee jelly. We had our usual favorites, which was the Gua Baos. Meat so tender and the soft buns. Dad and I shared the Taiwanese Rice Noodles, which reminds me of Mom's cooking. Hubby had the Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen and shared some with Dad too. Great food, just a different location. For those who live on the west side, this one would be closer to you. This was my wife and I's first time dining at Artea. We had our dog with us and we were happy to see that there was outside seating where we could all sit together. We were hungry and decided to order some food--they seemed to have a number of options available, but we were very aware that they are well known for their drinks. My 3-star rating goes to the bowl I had that particular day. I decided to go with the "Pork Belly Don"--braised pork belly slices on rice with a soft-boiled egg and vegetables. Presentation looked great, but unfortunately the pork was very dry and not as delicious as I had hoped. The food tasted "old," so I'm unsure if it had been sitting out a while before it was served or if it just wasn't freshly made. It was good portioning though, and I still ate it all! There wasn't really anyone "taking care" of us--you order inside at the register and then you sit down and they deliver your food. The young guy who brought our food only brought out the plates and then said, "utensils are inside" after seeing that we had nothing else on the table. This was a little annoying, but again, maybe this is how things are done. Lastly, before leaving we ordered some drinks to go. I wanted something refreshing so I ordered the "Strawbeary Lychee Lime Green Tea." It was SUPER sweet, nothing I wouldn't have expected. The aesthetic is trendy, they've put a lot of effort into the outside and entrance decorations. You order at the front counter and then find a seat, there's plenty of seating. The service at the counter is usually good and friendly. This place is ideal for hanging out or just catching a solo lunch and drink. This place is not ideal for doing work or reading since the music is loud outside and inside. In addition, they do not offer wifi. I was able to use a personal hotspot for my laptop so it is possible to hunker down here with some earphones. Getting a meal and drink here brightens up my day. I really enjoy Artea's milk tea drinks. Jasmine milk tea is my favorite and the quality is consistent. I've tried a few other drinks and am quite pleased with them. Foodwise, I've had the Tonkotsu Ramen, Pork Belly Don, and Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken. Since this is a boba shop first, the food exceeded my expectations. The meals were tasty, meat was tender, and the soft boiled egg was the cherry on top. I'd describe the food as casual eats that pair well with socializing/catching up in a lively, fun space. The milk tea is not very "tea" at all so if you're looking for a strong tea flavor then theirs will probably disappoint. But the other drinks are good and some are creative as well. For food, I like the Taiwanese popcorn chicken bento. The ramen is just ok. They have really good options for other bowls and bentos so I might have to try those next time.
