As a fellow boba lover, I will admit this place is good but it's not my favorite. I opted for the pearl milk tea with white pearls only because they were out out of regular boba. I enjoyed it and my friend got the crème brulee tea and the top tasted amazing but the rest of the tea was bland. The interior was cute. There's not much I can brag about this place, unfortunately.

I've been a long time fan of Gong Cha but have never really had a problem, until today. I ordered a oolong milk tea with "no ice" (on the left) and a black milk tea with "light ice" (on the right). These are the drinks that they made. I saw how the cup is literally 20% empty and asked one of the employees if there is a reason why the cup is not filled, and she said back to me, not very nicely "We make our drinks based on ratio and you said no ice". First of all... I ordered this $7 oolong milk tea off of the menu, NOT oolong milk tea+ ice. No where does it say that your drink comes default with ice. If customizing my drink is an option like your menu offered, why am I getting 20% less product for doing so? Is this the way your store advertises that when a drink is ordered, I don't get 100% of what I'm paying for? When I took the second photo, the ice in the black milk tea has already melted, and it looks like the cup is full. If you guys make drinks based on some ratio, do you account for the ice that's going to melt and dilute the flavor? If so, why didn't you just add water to my drink so I can have the same ratio? At least I won't walk away with a 20% empty cup that I paid $7 for. I've been to a few different Gong Cha locations and this has never been a problem, at least not to this degree. I understand not filling the cup up to avoid spilling, account for easier sealing... but this is ridiculous. Just look at my drink.

After the mySA article published, Tee Pham reached out to me. The article touched his heart and he hopes to one day be able to do for his parents as I'm doing with Dad. He runs @gongchasatx, a Taiwanese franchise for bubble tea and @lacrawfishsanantonio. Tee invited us out to @gongchasatx Alamo Ranch to check it out. There's also another location on Bandera. Dad had the Strawberry Latte, I had the Strawberry Milk Tea and my husband had the Lychee Passionfruit Green Tea. They treated us to the Bubble Waffle, which is similar to Kuma. We had a really nice time chatting to get to know each other's family. As we were leaving, Kevin, Tee's brother, sent us off with 2 more complimentary drinks. Such hospitality and generosity. My favorite is the strawberry jelly with the Mango Milk Tea. Definitely worth checking out!

Love me a Gong Cha, especially this one that just opened on the west side of SA. I've had this franchise bubble tea before on the east coast, so I know that they have quality drinks. They still haven't officially opened (and won't have their grand opening until 10/9), so the manager/owner, who was seated near the front door, yelled "guys" to his employees when we weren't immediately greeted the second we walked through the front door (in typical Asian fashion lol). The decor is super cute inside, with plenty of seating at tables or couches. There are quite a few board games located near the back of the store for bubble tea drinkers to play while enjoying their beverage. They also have free wifi for those who want to study or do work at the store. I got a medium Lemon Wintermelon Basil Seeds with no ice. While most of their drinks are customizable in sugar, this one unfortunately isn't customizable in sugar level. The flavors of my drink were superb, but it was just slightly too sweet for my tastes and left a sticky taste in my mouth. Drinks here are a bit pricey, with medium-sized drinks ranging from $5-$6 and large-sized drinks ranging from $5.25-$6.75. These are base prices, without any additional toppings ($0.50-$0.75 each). Definitely a good spot to grab quality bubble tea, and it's a must-try for those who have never had Gong Cha before!

This location is a cute spot to relax, unwind, study and take pictures of your boba drink. I ordered the Wintermelon Milk Tea with boba. It was delicious! In the back, they have board games for you to play with and hang out at the shop. This boba shop does not offer coffee jelly and no Oreo drinks. It can be pricey! I spend around $7 for a large drink with boba.

Boba just makes me happy and I'm happy to see more spots opening up in San Antoni. I really like the passion fruit yogurt slush and I add the star jellies! The flan was also pretty good!

This is the one. If you're looking for legit milk teas, look no further. This is an actual chain from Taiwan so you know it's got to be good. I always get a signature milk tea to determine a place's authenticity, but I opted for the strawberry milk tea and it was amazing. I've never tasted a strawberry milk tea that actually tasted like real strawberries. It did not have the overly powerful artificial powdery taste as many tend to have. It was so so good. I should've gotten a large. The boba is fresh, soft, and chewy. I also got an early grey milk tea with 3Js but that was too many toppings for my liking. We did 50% sweetness level and were happy with that. I think anyone would be happy with a 50-75%. They have different locations.

Love the tea and their bubble waffle. Very clean and nice environment. Little loud if you tried to do some work in here, but overall I would come back! Cute decorations too!

Nothing really special here, an honest feedback. There are a lot of other bubble tea places with way better drinks and affordable if not reasonable pricing. Will not be coming back for more. Too bad their place is nice, good for Instagram pics and the customer service is also good. But it comes back to the drinks, just sweet fancy drinks and nothing more. For better deliciously refreshing bubble tea drink creations, I recommend people to go someplace else. But come here to try it and take pictures.

Staff was helpful when I asked for recommendations. They were also very patient with us. Accommodating and inclusive to us all and those with different abilities. I really appreciate the staff here. Great boba! Love the green tea with boba! Excited to return for milk tea. Wifi is available. Cute seating and overall chill spot. Thank you!

I was super excited to see this place opening soon because even though it is a chain and San Antonio has a lot of boba places, they're not exactly hitting the mark. I test every boba place I go to by getting some version of a brown sugar milk tea. It's so simple that if you mess it up, I don't know what to tell you. However if done well, it's a classic that really embodies what a good bubble tea is. Anyways I got the dirty brown sugar milk tea. It was pretty good. There was a foam on top, and the tapioca was cooked perfectly. I also liked the decor inside, it had a great vibe and would be a cool spot to hang out if you didn't want to take your drink to go. I'll def be back because the place across the highway charges you for NOT getting ice.

My youngest daughter is crazy for boba teas. We found this place after dropping off my oldest at the movie theater. We were not disappointed! They have a ton of options and the 3 we got tasted awesome. This will be our new go to for boba and Thai tea!

My new favorite at Gong Cha is their Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea! It was a great recommendation they gave me! Their place is cute and spacious, their drinks are delicious and refreshing, and their staff are kind!

This is not our regular go-to Tealicious location but last Friday night since we were around the area after our errands at HEB, we decided to visit. We've been here several times before and I thought perhaps it was just an isolated incident. I let my emotions die down too that's why I waited this long. Just bought four drinks from our regular neighborhood Tealicious on Potranco near 1604 and just can't help finally posting this objective review. Back to the Tealicious by HEB Bandera experience, they are totally consistent...consistently providing a horrible customer service experience. The young lady in the cash register was simply impersonal, dull, and snobbish. Again, we thought this was isolated but on all those several instances we visited this location, we have exactly the same sub par customer service experience. This afternoon visit at Tealicious on Potranco, I asked the young lady if the owners are the same on both locations, she verified it not the same. The staff at the Bandera location needs to learn from these excellent staff members at Potranco. No matter what time of day, or day of the week and no matter who's tending the store, the customer service at Tealicious Potranco is consistently stellar. My experience this afternoon at Tealicious Potranco made me finally decide to post my unacceptable customer service experience at Tealicious Badera. Never ever again visiting Tealicious at Badera, we'll always be loyal to our neighborhood Tealicious at Potranco! The best in customer service, consistent at all times!

Lots of indoor seating and menu was easily visible and legible up front, near the counter. We ordered their #1 special, #3 grilled pork, a taro milk tea, and a Vietnamese iced coffee. Both sandwiches were delicious. Meats were flavorful, but what I really loved was the no skimp on pickled veggies and fresh jalapeños w/cilantro. So many places don't add or charge extra. Bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All milk teas are non dairy-they use a non dairy creamer as the base. I love taro, but this milk tea was definitely sweet, more like a dessert. But, it helped offset and balance the savory grilled pork banh mi.
