Who would've thought that San Antonio had such a popular boba chain?! I was surprised to discover this enclave of Asian and ethnic restaurants up north. I ordered a hazelnut milk tea with 30% sugar (~$6). I forgot that with some of their drinks, the flavor syrup is the sugar. So cutting down on the sugar = less flavor. When I tasted my drink, it was like drinking WATERED down milk tea from a mall food court boba store. I politely asked if I could have additional syrup added, and the employee made a new drink at 70% sugar. The new drink had a faint nutty, hazelnut flavor. BUT not enough to justify the hefty $6. I love this place so much, I had to create an account just to give them 5 stars. Probably one of the BEST boba and banh mi place in town. They take all their employees tip on the card and when their old cheap machines break they take it out of the employees paycheck (the little amount that they get). Also , when the employees work overtime they dont add it to the pay instead they just change the time backward .
