I tried a lot of banh mi places here and so far this one is good, but I just get the traditional banh mi. That is my go to when I am craving a viet sandwich. Their grilled pork is okay, but sometimes they dont cut up their meat and its like huge chunks you gotta bite into when eating sandwich can be hard to eat and bite. They got a variety of different coffee and teas as well. Service is friendly and place is very popular. I noticed over years the price of banh mi is gotten more expensive. I wish they didnt because i would buy every weekend, personally i think $8 for a sandwich is pretty steep, but they dont have any competition in that area so people are going to pay that price if they are craving it and they are good for what is available in san antonio. read more

I had the #1 House Special and #2 Chargrilled Pork Banh Mi. I also order the Thai Milk Tea with less ice. The Thai Milk Tea is very weak. I was very disappointed. Banh Mi is very good. These Bánh mi sandwiches are fantastic. The grilled pork is amazing and the best I've found in San Antonio so far. Great Vietnamese iced coffee also. We got some spring rolls as well that were great with delicious sauce. They have a small seating cafe style area and sweet workers. It's right next to ikea so I might plan to stop in for a to go order anytime I'm over on this side of town! Love the Q3 milk tea with egg pudding and boba. Both were super fresh not hard boba (I did not try if with the third option I prefer those two), the egg pudding was soft and had a great soft taste, but you also have to get the banh mi. All of them are really good but in my house we like the pâté ones! And the house banh mi is a close second choice. The place is very clean and inviting they even had a nice little set up for Christmas for a photo op. Definitely worth a try, we make the drive now regularly from New Braunfels and you know it better be good if we are willing to take I-35!! One of our favorite places. Totally recommend. read more

Clean and quiet atmosphere. It was a little odd to see european landmarks being played on tv rather than vietnam at a viet store, haha. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the slideshow of beautiful pictures/landscapes. The staff was very nice and had a very quick service. Banh mi was decent but wouldn't say amazing. I was satisfied enough. We visited this banh mi shop for the first time last week. The hours of operations on the door stated they close at 9:30pm and we came in at 8:43pm. We ordered their banh mi and was told the kitchen closes at 8:45pm so we could not order it. We came back the following week and made it by 8:34pm. Again we ordered their banh mi and was told they have quite a few orders and cannot take our order because the kitchen closes at 8:45pm. At this point I am so disappointed! If the kitchen closes at 8:45pm, then do not turn customers away before 8:45pm and update your hours of operations to 8:45pm or earlier if you are closing your kitchen before 8:45pm. Needless to say I will not try a 3rd time or ever come back to this place. read more

We also got two boba teas and unfortunately the watermelon tasted a little too sweet & like an artificial candy the honeydew was better but still not my favorite for boba. This place is a rip off . I bought a large coffee with the amount of ice they put in the coffee itself it's the amount of a small cup. I questioned why they put 80-90% ice. Have been coming here since they opened, when they just had coffee and boba. The owner is such a hard worker and takes pride in the food and drinks that she creates. I got to try the bahn mi for the first time today and I'm in love with them! The bread was the perfect light and crusty bread and the pickled daikon and carrot were crunchy and slightly acidic which really set it off. I got the number 1 with head cheese and pate and it was so tasty. They have plenty of other options if you aren't a fan of pâté and head cheese and just want some nice grilled pork or chicken. ( my favorite bahn mi always have pâté so I hope they keep the option on the menu please) the coffee drinks are strong as the Vietnamese coffee should be and have a ton of roasted flavor without being overly bitter. The two young ladies who worked the register and made the coffee and sandwiches made sure that we knew what we were ordering in case we didn't. They were very courteous and welcoming and acted very professional with all the customers who came in. Looking forward to coming here on many more visits. Keep that pâté on please lol. Both subs were delicious!! Buns were nicely toasted, good amount of the pickled daikin and carrots, plenty of cilantro, meat, thick cucumber, good amount of mayo, pate, and soy sauce. Jalapenos were long slices so you get a kick in every bite. It was so satisfying!! All the fillings balanced each other very well. Not one was overpowering the other. I got a ginger citrust green tea Boba and it was perfect for a hot day. One can easily get a delicious and pretty healthy lunch for under 12.
