Pollo Saltado
Yohana A.

Love love love their Pollo Saltado! Once I saw that I was able to get this on the menu I was sold. I went here for dinner and was able to just walk a few minutes and be at the beach which was a plus. Everything we tried was delicious and I will definitely be making a return. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, but it was a bit too windy outside for my liking so I opted for indoor. There is plenty of street parking around, I did go here on a weekday so not sure how busy it gets during peak hours/days.

We chose Aromas del Peru for dinner and it hit the spot like a perfectly timed sunset after a long beach day. We started with a couple piscojitos--a refreshing cross between a pisco sour and a mojito. Bright and crisp with an excellent presentation. We skipped traditional appetizers and snacked on cancha ("big corn") served with a green aji sauce. The corn was toasted until light and fluffy, while the sauce brought a garlicky, herby heat that lingered just enough to keep things interesting. For entrées, we ordered the beef lomo saltado and the risotto huancaína lomo. Both dishes delivered the rich, comforting flavors you'd expect--savory, satisfying, and excellently prepared. This is the kind of food that feels familiar and exciting at the same time and will keep me coming back for more! Great atmosphere, attentive service that greeted us at the door, and a relaxed but polished vibe. I've always been impressed by the hospitality & quality of Peruvian restaurants in South Florida. Unfortunately, some of my favorites have since closed. I encourage the community to support Aromas, as they are a delicious option and one I hope to visit many more times.

This place has great service and a very lovely ambiance. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor tables. The food was quite good. We have the chicken fried rice, and the chicken loma saltado. The loma salted came with rice and fries- though the fries were delicious it was a tad carb heavy and when i took the fries off the plate there really was t much chicken or veggies left. The green sauce was delicious. I also ordered the sarsa criolla. It was ok but lacked flavor. Overall this was a nice place but I would probably try a different food item if I were to return.

Everything was wonderful. The food was prepared fresh and was full of flavor. The ceviche is great with a lemon sauce. Steak and vegetables are fresh and delicious. Service is outstanding and attentive. Outside dining area with view of the beach too.

Great spot right by the beach! They also validate parking if you park in the garage We sat outside on the patio and had dinner after the beach We tried the gin mule - delicious Also the piscojito with passionfruit - so good! We split the tuna appetizer and also the traditional ceviche with fish and lomo saltado We loved everything - ceviche was a great portion and tuna was a fun Asian fusion take The lomo saltado also delicious - great cuts of steak - super flavorful Service was quick and friendly, food came out in less than 30!

Day 3 in Fort Lauderdale We decided on Peruvian cuisine at Aromas del Peru Pompano in Pompano & it did not disappoint! Started off with a piscojito, maracuyá pisco sour, & a passionfruit margarita. For appetizers, we shared causa with shrimp & chicken along with a shrimp tempura roll topped with passionfruit. For entrées, we went with the classic chicken ají de gallina & the beef lomo saltado. Everything was delicious, but the ají de gallina stole the show--comfort food!

We went for the 1st time with 2 other couples. It's a yummy, neighborhood place that's nice casual. Full bar, many food options. Service was spotty for the amount of tables, we looked for our server multiple times. The Pico sour was yummy. We had a unique app, which had avocado, mashed potatoes and cut up shrimp that was presented in a round shape with sauce on it, we enjoyed. Dinner I had corvina with steamed veggies. It was good, the veggies tho were overcooked. Husb had Peruvian stew (like seafood soup) had lotsa calamari, some fish, shrimp, clams, mussels he enjoyed. Several dessert options we had something like a cheesecake. Overall a good experience, if down in the area you we'd go back, try diff items.

One of the best parts of visiting South Florida is the incredible variety of food you get to experience, and Peruvian cuisine has become a must-have for us over the years. We first discovered it in Hollywood Beach, FL, and have been huge fans ever since. Unfortunately, our three favorite Peruvian spots have all permanently closed, so on this trip we were on the hunt for a worthy replacement--and that led us to Aromas del Peru. Right off the bat, things started strong. There was plenty of parking (not always easy to find in South Florida), the restaurant was easy to locate, and we were greeted immediately with no wait to be seated. Our server was friendly, welcoming, and very efficient throughout the meal. For drinks, we both ordered the passion fruit piscojito, and wow--the presentation alone was an 11/10. Even better, the drink itself was incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced. I have a serious weakness for Risotto Huancaína Lomado, and Aromas del Peru's version absolutely held its own against some of the best I've had. The risotto was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, and the steak was cooked exactly to order (medium). Overall, our experience was wonderful from start to finish. Aromas del Peru has officially earned a spot on our must-visit list, and we'll definitely be back on future trips to the area.

Food as always very good. Our waitress was excellent. And the ambiance is super elegant. Bathrooms clean. HIghly recommend, will be back!:)

When you walk in the ambiance is warm and inviting. It is nice for a date or to go with a small group of family or friends. My boyfriend and I tried the ceviche called Cholo Power, the lomo saltado and the risotto huancaina lomo saltado. To start we had canchas which were nice and warm with a spicy but yummy sauce. The ceviche tasted fresh, the sauce was delicious to the last drop. The lomo saltado was juicy and tasty, the fries were crunchy and they served the rice on the side. My favorite was the risotto huancaina lomo saltado. I would say it's the best risotto I've ever had at a Peruvian restaurant. Our server Fabio was knowledgeable and kind. He made a great recommendation for our main course. Overall I recommend and will be coming back. Food was so good only got one photo. You'll just have to try it (:

I got take out. So so good. And if you order through their website you get a discount and the seco de cabrito is way cheaper then it is in the restaurant. They did a great job separating the items so everything stayed tasty (except the fried yuca, that was in the stew) But I saved literally $41 just by ordering online. Same meals. But this time we just used our own still and sparkling water from home.

The foods great! Just be prepared to wait an hour and a half with no one else in the restaurant! They also play popular American music; this is a Peruvian restaurant. My advice is to order door dash but you'll probably still be waiting!

Fettuccine Pesto with Grilled Octopus

Yum yum!!! I love Peruvian, and this is one of place I recommend. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. I also like their outdoor seating area. Again, the food is fantastic. The service can be better. They do have a lot, like a lot of crew members, but for some reason they have only one person takes order, serves food and runs checks. Meanwhile there are 5 bussing people and 5 others don't do anything. Very strange setting... besides I enjoyed everything.

Look at the pics. Horrible. It was thrown on a plate. One of the meats was so funky. I order charcuterie everywhere, even Publix. This was insulting to me and my wallet. Well, mix that with a medoicre rock band and I was ready to go. It seems like the quality sipped. I even purchased 2 cocktails. I guess they are saving money by putting in very little liquor. So...what waa a typical 3 to 4 star night, was a 2. I guess if yiu have 4 or 5 bad drinks yiu can skip past it all. But I stopped at work. I wasnt drunk enough to ignore the overall mediocrity. Towards the end..the band Retro Active, old rock, got better they had a rough start then got better by 1.5 hrs in. I just need to lower my expectations in rough times or head to the casino I guess. I love supporting local business, but a $30 waste of my time. Its not the money, it's the sloo, lack of effort on the plate. We had abour 8 meat slices, a few walnuts:n cranberries. Bye Felicia! Im home now...I left at intermission. I guess Im angry because they failed on the basics. I get that businesses are suffering due to their poor voting choices, war, gas, economy. But...I guess Im angry about the basics. Its easy to take lunch meat and cheese. We make it at home! So Im pissed that you would mash up bread on a grill, throw on some funky meat, and toss 3 cups on a plate: honey, some weird sauce and something elsem. Darn right Im mad. The owners or whoever is fronting this should go back to basics. Here is my next play..eat before I go. Buy one drink then bring my own drink in my purse, fill my cup with basic rum and coke lol. My partner was smart: buy a beer. Something they can't mess up. I even saw folks with cans of miller lol. Im over this dive. I guess everything changes and some places have no capacity to last and age well. I even didn't like their bingo. Overalll, go if you know the band. Get tipsy before you go! Just not worth more than $20 stay really. I use to love it a few years back. Even the burlesque was tired. My kid said. Some people cant hang it up. I guess this is one! For great drinks, go to Bar Betty, upstairs in Sunness. Go hit Chainbridge...best old fashioned, near Moon Pizza. Best pizza at moom with pinball attached. Amazing cocktails, same price! There are several places doing it right!

Sidecar Speakeasy was the play... The speakeasy entrance was hidden in a hallway you can walk right by without even noticing. I dig it. Once inside, it's dark. Most of the light is coming from the light showcasing the bottles in the bar. The seating is a little tight as they're trying to maximize space for such a small area. We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday. The sidecar speakeasy is easily my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale and I have a feeling I'll be back. Enjoy!

The ambiance of the place is lovely, decorated with string lighting that looks so gorgeous at night. The patio area is much bigger than I anticipated and even has some larger tables for any larger parties. We started off with an appetizer of the peach burrata, which was tasty! I would give it 4/5. We then got wine flights which I thought were such a great value for the price. You get 3 small sized wine glasses for $15 and get to sample three wines! Definitely recommend this 5/5. As entrees, we shared two entrees - the pesto pasta and the gnocchi which at the time was made with a pork type of sauce. Both were very delicious and we really enjoyed the flavors of both. The consistency of the gnocchi's sauce was a bit interesting, as it was all sort of blended together, but the flavor was very good! Would give them each 4/5. We ended the night with tiramisu - delicious and the presentation was very cute. I haven't had very much tiramisu to compare against, but I'll give it 5/5 as I really enjoyed it! As for service, our waitress was very attentive and nice but note that they can get busy on weekend evenings, so expect a little bit of a wait. Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed the food. My favorite part of the night were the ambiance and the wine flights. I hope to come back again soon!
