Churarrsco
Kelly Y.

Delicious Peruvian cuisines in an upscale setting, and prices to go with it. We loved the short walk from hotel to this little walking plaza setting outside the restaurant. All the restaurants had outside tables and lights set up to capture the pleasant winter temperatures in Miami. I loved my appetizer of anticuchos/ grilled beef heart. It was tender and well seasoned. Hubby even liked the grilled cheese pieces that came w it. Hubby's entree was Churassco. The steak was very tender. He actually loved smooth mashed potatoes side. I finally decided to give ceviche another try. Their version is not overly acidic like the others I've encountered. I liked the olive sauce the most of the tiraditos. Their drinks offerings were imaginative and delicious, too. But I didn't appreciate the $5 x 2 charge of "Evian" water when it didn't come w a notice or bottle. Also note: 18% automatic gratuity is added; but that seems to be norm in Miami.

Gotcha mocktail

Lovely decor. Music just loud enough to hear, but low enough to have a pleasant conversation. The Gotcha moctail, made from lychee, spearmint tea and lemon was tart yet sweet. The Ceviche Clasico has a nice balance of tart, spice and salt. The sweet of the corn and sweet potato adds the final layer. The spice can be adjusted. Our bartender, Ovilio, was excellent. Great happy hour!!!

Food - 4.8/5 Service - 3.5/5 Ambiance - 5/5 Aromas food was delicious and the experience was wonderful. We sat on the patio which was really nice. Service was slow, but our server was very kind. We highly recommend.

Aromas del Peru is a great restaurant to go and enjoy legit peruvian food. The menu has a vast variety of options, including meats, rices, and seafood. The ceviche is excellent, as well as the churrasco and the sushi. The service was great and the atmosphere is very family oriented. The decor is nice as well; you'll see a llama in the entrance. Definitely a place to go back and try other options of the menu.

Corvina de A lo macho

Beautifully designed restaurant and ambiance. Everything had immense flavor and huge portions. Corvino à la macho was an interesting dish with a lot of different textures between the fried fish to calamari to mussels. Not spicy but additional spice was available.

This is such an amazing restaurant. I had such a great time with the service and the food was phenomenal. Everything that we got was delicious even down to the dessert and I can't stress enough how much the service meant to us. It was great and amazing.

I attended a Pisco Masterclass at this location and it was very fun and informative! It was in a seperate area located in the restaurant. In this event we got to try 3 different types of Pisco and they each paired with a food meant for that sample. The flavor combos were insanely good and just a different kind of experience on the palette. The hosts of this event were very friendly and knowledgable on the different drinks and samples that we were offered. Through the course we received a brief history of Pisco and how it was made traditionally on Peruvian soil. Overall, it was a very positive and delightful atmosphere in which they brought us into. I do recommend coming by the next time they do this event and learn about Peruvian culture, food, and drink while enjoying some refreshing Peruvian cocktails.

Great flavors to the chaufa! Also had the sushi with passionfruit dressing on it which waa interesting. We sat outdoors on Giralda which is great for people watching, but the inside is beautiful seating option as well. Good space to accomodate groups, good location, solid food, and quick seating and service. Nice peruvian spot to hit when in the gables!

The new location is beautiful. The service is exceptional, so attentive. Now the food omg the food is the star! Everything so perfectly flavored and cooked. Portions are good. This one is a must try. One of the best Peruvian restaurants in Miami!

Saltado

I came back to Aromas del Peru after about a year, and the food and service were just as great as I remembered. I ordered the lomo saltado, which was flavorful and well-balanced with vegetables. The presentation was thoughtful, with generous portions served on nicely plated dishes. Service was professional and attentive. Overall, a great experience.

We came to a fun pisco tasting event here last night. We were served 3 types of piscos, 2 cocktails, 2 wines and aperitivos. It was a master class where we learned of the piscos and wines we were served along with some tasty delights. The class was very educational and the servers were great! With the exception of one. For some reason she always kept skipping my friend in the corner. The tasty delights were - - a little acevichado sushi roll it had a little bit of maracuya (passion fruit) - causa de atún, which is smashed potato at the base and tuna at the top. I'm not quite sure what the dressing is as at the top but it was really good. - papa rellena- it was mashed potato and usually it is stuffed with meat and veggies but in this case it was just papa - tiradito de salmon, which is sashimi salmon and the juice I believe was also maracuya. It was ok. Not my favorite - anticuchos (cow heart), my favorite. It doesn't sound too appetizing but I suggest you try it, if you're open to it. It's just so delicious. - finally, the dessert. It was like a chocolate coffee mousse. It was pretty good. All of these were served with the drinks we were served. I wasn't a big fan of the pisco shots but the cocktails and wine were pretty good. Finally, the restaurant is known for being on the fancy side. I loved the decor and the little clay figurines they have.

Quick service, a calm ambiance. The pisco sour was passion fruit flavor and it was a perfect balance of flavor. The service charge or gratuity is already included making it stress free. Ashley was fantastic.

Came in on a Monday afternoon the place is not that crowded, I was greeted by Aubrey the hostest with the mostes, very professional by the way, so I sat in the bar in my bartender Javier. One of the best bartenders in Miami took care of me and give me my favorite dish here which is the fish au gratin, you can never go wrong coming into this place. It is always a pleasure. I will definitely be coming back.

It has changed. The service is still very good, and the food is outstanding. Prices are higher and portions are smaller.

As other reviewers have stated, Farolito can be described as a classic Peruvian restaurant, and…read moremore of a "mom and pop" type spot. You won't find fancy or extravagant decor here and when looking at the wines, the list of whites in particular wasn't very extensive and I think all were priced less than $50/bottle. The dining area isn't terribly large but it's well-appointed with dark wood chairs, white linen tablecloths and napkins and the place is well-maintained. Most everything about Farolito deserved 3.5 stars, though our waiter would rate higher IMO. Service on the night we were here was attentive from outgoing staff, and they didn't mind swapping the type of fish that was listed in the menu for a particular dish. If there was an upcharge to make such a change, they'd tell you up front what it was. Prices were reasonable and the food was good; we'd definitely come here again when in the area. There are a few other Peruvian/ceviche spots in the Gables and Grove that we tend to visit more often - though admittedly, those other spots do come with higher pricepoints than Farolito. There's no auto-gratuity on the bill here, but our final check listed one price if we'd pay in cash, or a higher final cost if we'd be paying with a credit card, which is something I'd not seen before in any restaurant.

I came here for the first time on a Friday for lunch. We were a group of 6 ladies. We arrived at…read morenoon. They had just opened, and immediately sat us. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. It's very warm, inviting, comfortable, well lit, and attractive. The seats were a little low. We doubled up on our seat cushions so that we wouldn't feel like the table was at our chins. The menu is quite large. It was hard to decide what to get. I wasn't too hungry so I settled on the two pieces of scallop nigiri and the arugula salad. The sushi was SO good! Very tender! Very well made and delicious! My salad didn't have any dressing on it, so it was kind of dry. It had some dots on the plate which I used to try and make it more appetizing. My friend got the tacos and loved them! She ate every bite. Another friend got the sea bass and also loved it. Her plate was a little larger so she had leftovers. Another friend got the salmon and avocado roll and she said that the salmon melted in her mouth! Easy to say that the food is amazing! The service was good. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. I think the prices are a little high. For my salad and two pieces of sushi my bill was $40. Most of the ceviches were from $25-$55! We didn't drink any alcohol, just some ice teas, or juice. It's a nice place, and it's unique, but there are a TON of ceviche places and sushi places that are a fraction of the cost. I probably won't be back for that reason.

This was an accidental visit turned into a great meal…read more We actually ended up at CVI.CHE 105 by mistake. We intended to go to the restaurant next door and didn't realize the mix-up until we looked at the menu. We decided to give it a shot all the same. In the end, we were glad it happened. The food was excellent, with nearly laughably generous portions and flavors that made me wish I had room to try even more dishes (as it was we had to take most of it to go back to the hotel). The place is clearly popular since it was packed, bustling, and energetic. It does get loud (almost too loud), and the tables are very tightly arranged. I was bumped into more than once by both other diners and staff simply because there's so little space between tables. That could use a little improvement - a little breathing room would be nice. Despite that, the service was top-notch. They were attentive, efficient, and friendly even in a very busy environment. Overall, the atmosphere may be crowded, but the quality of the food and service make it well worth the visit. A happy accident that I'd gladly repeat.
