Was looking for a coffee shop in the area and found this on Yelp with many great reviews so decided to check it out. The cafe is cute and is more than just a grab and go spot. You can actually sit and they offer food on their menu. If I had more time, I would have done so since lots of things looked appetizing. The girl at the front helped us with their menu and answered all our questions. We ended up getting creme brulee latte and hojicha latte. I liked the drinks. They were pretty good. There is a more grab and go location literally doors down from here. Will come back and check out their food and sweets sometime.
Truly impressed!! Coffee was good and they have a roastery/sell their own beans. It seemed like a lot of the menu items have Taiwanese influence, which I enjoyed. The pasta was delicious. Plenty of seating so we had no issues with that. There's a dessert store owned by the same company a few doors down and they were offering samples while we were there. They were good, not too sweet, but the fruit flavor wasn't super strong or apparent either. Would love to come back if I'm in the area!
This was a pricey cafe that was hard to find since it's located in a plaza, surrounded by a lot of other businesses. Also, they are renovating so their sign couldn't be seen It's open daily 8am-4pm Parking was ok but could be difficult since their parking lot was shared with other businesses Service was friendly and welcoming Inside was spacious and had a good amount of seating. However, I wish there were more power outlets and WiFi! Menu had a good variety of coffee and tea drinks, as well as food items Pricing was pretty pricey so expect to pay $6-7+ for most of their drinks and most food items were $15+ Iced Sesame Latte ($7) was ok. Got it half sweet with less ice and the black sesame wasn't as rich in flavor as I was expecting. It tasted pretty bland and not too sweet. I could hardly taste the coffee so it was pretty disappointing. This was 6.5/10 Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict ($19) was alright. The egg was slightly overcooked but it tasted pretty fresh. The smoked salmon was too salty and fishy. This was 7/10 Overall, I most likely won't recommend or return unfortunately
I love me a trendy breakfast spot with latte art, matcha options, desserts and a good selection of food, and this place checks off all the boxes. I don't ever come to this area but when my brother and his fiancée visited from Texas and suggested we meet here for breakfast I was like, hell yes! Everything about this place is super cute, and it's definitely a popular spot with the locals since there was a line when we got here. Thankfully we didn't wait a long time. We ordered the French toast, smoked salmon Benedict and matcha tiramisu. Everything was so good! The staff is also super nice and made the experience even better. If I'm ever in this area I'll be sure to stop in and try other items because they all look so yummy! Happy eating!
I love love love this place. Being from Walnut, this place will always be a staple breakfast spot. The interior is beautifully decorated, the staff is nice, and the food is good. Miso Pasta 4/5: Considering how many times I have been here, I have never tried this dish. It had a really good flavor but overall would be a little heavy to eat on its own. Smoked Salmon Toast 5/5: This is my go-to dish here and always hits the spot. The bread is seasoned to perfection and the poached egg on top adds a nice touch to the presentation and taste. Drinks 4/5: I have never been the biggest fan of their espresso as I find it to be a bit too acidic for me, however the latte was beautifully decorated and overall had a good taste (minus the espresso taste). This is always a good option when deciding on a Sunday brunch spot, prices are a bit higher but worth it!
Located next to their sister store, Sweets by Aroma Craft (see my other review) this is the first of the two that opened. The interior space is nicely decorated for people to enjoy coffee, pastries or sweet and savory snacks. There's a private seating area that can be reserved with a minimum spend amount (see my photo for pricing) They also have a bar area (no booze) and plenty of tables for either 2 or 4. Aroma carries their own roasted beans. Some are pricey, while others are more inline with other gourmet roasters. They have a small roaster onsite tucked into the corner. Whenever I check out a new coffee place, I always get a cappuccino. All of their coffee based drinks use their espresso beans, and this produced a smooth and bold cap, plus I always appreciate a nice latte art. (See photo) The brown sugar iced latte was a bit too mild. The brown sugar flavor was very very subtle and on only had a hint of sweetness. We likely will not get this again. The service was very good, and everyone we came across was friendly. I really liked the vibe here because it seemed customers were there to socialize with friends, unlike Starbucks where everyone has a laptop and headphones on. I also like the ambiance, and topping it off with a good cappuccino really makes me wish this is much closer to my house.
I went here with my friends during lunch. First time here, I've always been so excited to try this place, yet it was so disappointing. We ordered the hibiscus tea but it was flavorless, my friend did not end up drinking it at all after she took one sip. However, the summer espresso was good though. Also, we ordered the miso pasta, I've seen great reviews about this that's why I wanted to try it. But I was so disappointed how salty it was, felt like I was eating a teaspoon of salt in every bite, that even though I was hungry I could not even finish it.
I was recommended by a coworker when I was looking for a good coffee bean to purchase and make espresso at home. I really like their coffee bean having a bold and bitter taste rather than sour. I'm kind of new to espresso world so sour coffee is an acquired taste. This place has a variety of beans. The front cashier you was very well educated about coffee. He's not just a cashier. He recommended the one they use for their Americano. And I was surprised that they serve food too! They all looked good but we didn't get any food just coffee. When the coffee was ready they come out with a tray and it was so cute! I'd go back to get another bag of coffee beans and food!
A nice brunch place. I enjoy coming here with my girlfriends. It's a good place to chat, for there is no rush to leave. Even though it can get busy, it's not loud and noisy. This place is modern and rustic. You first order with the cashier and then the food/drinks are brought to your table. The food is delicious, and I enjoyed my strawberry matcha (it's also a pretty drink)! I do think it's a bit on the pricey side. It's fine though. I do recommend this place.
I stumbled upon this place by accident. Looking for a food restaurant while getting a car wash nearby this place popped up on yelp. It's in a plaza that's full of businesses so it can be a bit confusing to find the place. But once found it's like a gem. I ordered the salmon Benedict and their seasonal Matcha Affogato. Both items did not disappoint. Their workers were super nice and hard working. The environment is a bit noisy but a perfect spot to hang out. read more
This place gets busy! I came on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed! You order first at the counter then they give you a number to take to your table so that the servers know where to drop off your food. I ordered to-go and waited inside. So far, I've tried their Aroma trio of desserts, ube tart, matcha tart, Taiwanese sausage salad, and vegan spaghetti and meatballs. I loved all of those things except the matcha tart. It was too gelatinous for me and didn't have the smooth, silky texture I was expecting. My favorite so far has been the trio and spaghetti. Besides coffee, they specialize in Asian fusion cafe classics. I will be back to try more. read more
Party of three went for early lunch around 11:30am. It wasn't pack so we have plenty of time to order and ask questions about the menus. We ordered the following: Rich Miso pasta - flavorful and yummy, sauce not overpowering. Taiwanese sausage salad - Better combination than panini in my opinion. Pink vodka pasta: super tasty and rich, I didn't care too much for the vegetarian meatballs. Ice oolong tea - strong flagrance and flavor. A bit too costly at $6.50 Kyoto ice drip - it feels like double espresso on ice, not sure I will pay $8.50 for it again. Overall, we are very with food, just minor gripes on pricing of some drinks. read more

Very cute little coffee shop in Walnut. I had the best avocado toast with an entire avocado, scrambled eggs and a delicious toast of bread so yummy. My daughter had a salmon Benedict that was just as good and our friend had a pasta pesto dish. The food was really fresh and the servers were very nice too. The cafés were excellent. There are many choices and they also serve almond, regular milk, and oat milk. I will be back and can't wait to try another delicious dish. read more

What is the delay? Omgosh I am super blown away by this establishment. Was invited to go to lunch here and I am so grateful I was. The service is off the charts excellent. ALL of the staff is super friendly, attentive, and constantly cleaning throughout the restaurant. Service was also fast and my plates had great presentation as well. I had the roast beef panini and it had the best flavor for something so simple. There was a mango ice cream float (Taiwanese Honey Black Tea, Locally Made Mango Ice Cream) and I loved it! Another treat we tried was the strawberry ice cream cake. Wow! This place is a total A+ and I hope others come by and try something here. Great, fun, creative, food ideas that have great flavor. Introduction: I first came to this establishment years ago before they've made all the changes and renovations. It's been a few years and I'm happy to see what they've done with the place in terms of décor and the atmosphere overall. I paid this place a visit for old times sake because I was visiting a friend in the Rowland Heights area. Drinks: Kyoto Iced Drip: I'm a frequent coffee drinker and usually when I drink coffee, the caffeine no longer affects me anymore; I need something quite strong for me to feel anything at all. I am surprised when I had their Kyoto Iced Drip: the brew is bold, strong, bears mature depth and it is what I needed to get me started during the early part of the day. It is rare coming across a Kyoto Iced Drip of this flavor, substance, and quality. Syphon-Jamaica Blue Mountain: When it comes to syphon, depending on the beans, a syphon can cost anywhere from $6-$12. The syphon here cost $8 and the premium beans are an additional $3, bringing the total to $11. After inquiring their offerings, I opted for the premium beans and had their syphon with Jamaica Blue Mountain. The aroma of the brew is reminiscent of fruits, toasted nuts and chocolate; it is medium-bodied, clean, smooth, and well-rounded in its mouthfeel. The added bonus lies in the fact even after the coffee becomes cold, the astringency is almost non-existent. Food: When at a coffee shop, typically one does not expect to eat well: patrons can expect a second tier or third tier croissants, donuts, and over-priced avocado toast. At Aroma Craft Coffee, their food offerings are higher-quality and diverse. I got their Pepper Jack Roast Beef Panini. The panini is toasted just right. Every bite one tastes the gooey, chewy texture of the Pepper Jack, the intense flavors of the sun-ripe tomato, and the savoriness of the tender roast beef. Ambiance: Clean, Hipster, Contemporary Service: The staffs are cordial, responsive, accommodating Price: Aroma Craft Coffee, in terms of price, it's not your typical coffee spot or Starbucks; they charge a premium in terms of their drinks and food. The way I look it, it depends on the respective patron(s): how long they plan to stay and how they intend to utilize the space during their time here. For me, spending $20+ for a visit is okay because I usually stay here for several hours getting work done all the while getting lunch taken cared of under one roof without needing to go to a secondary location. read more

Decided to stop by this coffee shop today. The inside is very spacious with lots of tables. It was quiet on a Monday morning but I can see it getting packed for weekend brunches. Got the hojicha latte with oat milk. The drink had a great hojicha flavor and was perfectly creamy without being sweet. The price point is steep though - paid over $8 for my drink (extra $1 for hojicha flavor and $1 for oat milk). However, I'd still come back to try their other drinks and food! read more
Have been coming here for years. Moved up to LA, tried a bunch of different pasta places and still none can compare to the pesto pasta here! The avocado toast actually comes with a decent amount of both avocado and toast and a kick of sweetness that blends perfectly in your mouth. Cute little place for a brunch date. read more
This place was great! I just had to say that I really enjoyed their food, latte, and the taro tart. They were absolutely scrumptious! The counter is directly a few feet away from the front door. You make a line to order before you head in. You may want to preview what you want to order before you get there. I didn't dine inside, but the interior seems unique. The food was served in a timely manner. The taro tart had a very soft inner texture, and the mushroom toast had overfill of tasty mushrooms. Service was great. We've been here numerous times and love the vibe, food and coffee here. The pour over blue mountain or geisha are our fav. Their food is also very good. The ube tart is always served hot and has a great crust and not overly sweet. Love the ice cream strawberry cake. The grilled sandwich are delicious. Even the salads are high quality. Aroma Café is a restaurant that my whole family enjoys. The food is so good that I always forget to take pictures. Luckily, I managed to get a photo of the avocado toast today. It had super fresh avocado, soft eggs, and wholesome, nutty bread. Eating it with coffee made my day. What can I say about the service? #5 in my SOCAL COFFEE SHOP SERIES To be honest, I don't know why this place has such great reviews. The drinks were okay, food is okay, pricing is expensive, and vibes are alright. Also... they don't have wifi. How can you be a coffee shop and have coffee in your name and not have wifi?! I would say this place is more of a brunch spot with coffee drinks. It's also not a place to do work. This is the kind of place you go to if you wanna do a business meeting or meet up with friends. For my drink I got the crème brûlée latte ($6). It was just alright. Beans tasted burnt and portion size was small for the price (12 oz). I didn't get food because it was pretty pricing for what you get. Like $12 for a piece of toast... Aroma has a beautiful atmosphere that would make anyone fall in love. Aroma offers unique breakfast options and pastries to pair wonderfully with their specialty drinks. I didn't order the mushroom avocado toast and I regret it to this second. While I was enjoying an avocado toast and matcha latte I saw multiple people getting their mushroom avocado toast and it looked delicious. I particularly loved my matcha latte, I opt for almond milk. It was a perfectly sweet savory blend and had a wonderful full bodied matcha flavor. The staff was also over the top nice and helpful. I can't wait to go back and try more! read more

Super cute spot! My mom found this spot last minute after running errands. The customer service is impeccable, everyone is attentive and kind. This place is order then you sit at the table. The service was quick as well. The smoked salmon toast was delicious, and the portions are huge. I liked the matcha latte as well. Truthfully, my favorite was the ube tart. It's not as sweet as traditional ube, tasting more like taro. Nonetheless, it came out warm, and tasted amazing. I saw some outlets here. Overall, this spot would make a cozy study spot or somewhere to have brunch with friends. read more
My wife took me here for lunch, she had been here with her griedfriends before and thought I would like the Smoked salmon meal. Indeed. I enjoyed every bit of it, wife got me a side of Avocado ($4.99+) worth it as it was the creamier avocado I've tasted and went well with my Salmon! The wife got the Avocado and egg toast, it comes WITH A Lot of avocado and a side of teriyaki sauce. Place was friends, the waiters were friendly and we got our food very fast. Note: I dropped my butter knife on the floor, and didn't say anything, a minute or so later the waiter came by and said here's another set of utensils, I notice you dropped your butter knife. That right there was awesome. Didn't have to ask! Overall a nice different experience from your breakfast and lunch venues. We ended it with the 3 flavor moose cakes! The strawberry was out favorite, pumpkin was fine but the coffee was Too strong. This coming from a Coffee addict like myself. But overall a great experience. I am so excited I found this place for lunch! I was looking around for a salad on yelp and I ended up seeing a picture of their Rich Miso Pasta with mushrooms and zucchini and I was sold. Their website is nicely designed and has a built in Order Online feature that was easy to use, so I ordered ahead so I could grab and go. Order #1: Rich Miso Pasta - good, but I want to try it fresh instead of to go Organic Hibiscus Iced Tea - very refreshing When I arrived there was a bit of a line at the cashier, so I started to check out the coffee menu and decided to also order a hot drink to go Order #2 Small Brown Sugar Latte - not too sweet! I was pleasantly surprised with the restaurant itself. There were a lot of people eating, a whole coffee bar section and it even looked like a back area where there was a private event going on (this was at noon). In front of the coffee bar was a long table so I sat with my first order and waited for my coffee. I ended up hanging out and drinking my coffee because I just enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was great and the people were awesome.. so inviting! The pasta reminds me a bit like an Alfredo sauce but a bit lighter and for me, a lot less dairy. I had brunch here with my work friends and I enjoyed the ambiance and love the food! You need to order at the register before you find a place to sit. I ordered the hot lavender latte, the avocado toast and aroma trio dessert. My coffee came in a to-go cup, I was expecting it to be served in a nice mug since we're dining in and it's a coffee shop. The avocado toast is perfect! You can tell that the avocado is fresh and it was beautifully presented. My friend ordered the ube tart to share, it's so pretty to eat but it's good as it looks! Tastes more like purple sweet potato. My favorite flavor among the aroma trio is the strawberry because it has strawberry jelly filling. When I'm in that area, I would visit them again! read more

Service, food and coffee is overall really nice good. I just can't decide what's better, the coffee or the food. So to me it's more like a cafe than anything. I personally did not like the ambiance because when I went it was unusually loud for a coffee or a restaurant spot. And the seating was super cramped for my taste. I can't blame them for that. It's just preference for myself. read more
