Recently I finished a year-long project to restore my 1966 Mustang convertible.  The body and paint work were done by Acton Auto Body and Acton Center Auto Body, family-owned sister companies. My contact at both shops was co-owner Sonia Trinh.  Sonia was extremely diligent in insuring that the work was done to the highest quality, while strictly adhering to schedule and budget. All of the craftsmen who worked on the car were very much in sympathy with my goal of restoring the car to "right off the assembly line" function and appearance, rather than a glitzy highly modified version of its original self. That approach was most evident in the paint work. Many of the chemicals that were in the formulations of 1966 paints are now banned, and formulations made with translation formulas and modern chemicals often miss the color mark badly. Sonia and her team mixed sample after sample until the color and gloss of the paint were as the car rolled off the line almost 55 years ago. Acton Auto Body and Arlington Center Auto Body are real pros. Bill read more

Someone hit my parked car. The other person's insurance paid for it. This place did a great job repairing my front and back bumpers. The repairs took less time than estimated and I am so happy to have my car back! The other insurance dealt with them and it was seamless. read more

I had some minor front end fender and bumper damage on my Subaru that was covered by Arbella insurance, less the deductible. There was no frame repair needed so it was a relatively straightforward job. The insurance claim process was seamless with Arlington Center Auto Body, and their work is guaranteed by Arbella because they are an Arbella certified shop. I called them late in the week, and they got me in the Monday morning after. Angelica at the shop was great to work with and handled the insurance claims including the supplement. I was told it would take a week and a half, but the work was completed within the same week. Workmanship was excellent and I was pleased to have the vehicle back so quickly. read more

Great workmanship, always go back to them. Work on my 2014 Prius v. Likes a new car again.

I was referred here from Cityside Subaru after being sideswiped on both sides of my car and having some other exterior damage to the paint/body. The woman at the front desk was incredibly professional and kind. She remembered me each time I called with a question or came into the office! Mario gave me quote significantly lower than Subaru estimated and he did a fantastic job! My car looks brand new and I can't believe what he was able to do for the price. Overall, a really professional operation with honest people who clearly take pride in their quality work. Can't recommend Arlington Center Autobody enough! read more

Brought car in after accident. Estimated 3 weeks to repair. Took 8 weeks. They kept forgetting to order the parts and I needed to followup. After getting it back, needed to bring it back it to fix things they goofed up. After bringing back twice, gave up and brought to another body shop who quickly fixed the stuff they seemed not able to (like re-hooking the line for the windowshield washer that they hooked up backwards). read more

Arlington Center Auto Body - fixed front bumper and drivers side brakes - Body Shops Near Me - Arlington, Massachusetts

I had a minor accident pulling out of a parking spot which caused some damage to the rear bumper and a hit and run that damaged the drivers side bumper and fender. The car was repaired in less than predicted time except for 2 parts which arrived at the shop damaged. When the replacement parts arrived they phoned me to ask when i'd like to come in. Since it would take a few hours to finish, the owner drove me home and picked me up when it was done. Both times, they cleaned the inside of my car till it was absolutely immaculate, and washed the outside till it shined. They also unbent a license plate and repaired a scratch that were not included in the repairs. The service and body work were excellent and i would recommend them without reservation. read more

Went to this place a few years back after I got rear ended, on a recommendation from the dealer I was leasing from (they apparently send all their collision work here). Of note, this was through an insurance claim for a bumper and muffler replacement and most of the financial aspects/appraising was worked out between the shop and the insurance appraiser, so not sure how things are out of pocket. It's a nondescript place on a side street off of Mass Ave near Arlington Center. Overall, a pretty good experience; very easy to deal with. Job was done professionally and quickly, and car looks like new. read more

nice friendly/helpful staff took the time for the free estimate.. . i went there a couple weeks ago and its kind of hard to find. its off mass ave right next to the Arlington bike path. They do have a sign with Arlington Center Auto Body on it...BUT i had no idea where to park or pull my car up. they have one side door, that had no signs i didnt know if i was suppose to knock or just enter or if that was for employees only?? suggestion: GET SOME SIGNS that are customer friendly! read more

Last december, I took my vehicle for repair after a storm damage and my insurance had this place on their preferred list. You call, give details, then , a lady says she will call you back ... which does not happen. That is not the issue. So eventually after couple of weeks, they got me in. Fine all smooth. I pick my car with strong paint. Fine. Then noticed one dimple not fixed. Then a month later, the paint and buffing just did not match rest .... it was close but certainly noticeable. I did not even bother to go back as you can imagine the hassle of bringing your vehicle back and all the hassle. read more

I drove to this shop two weeks ago to set up an appointment in person with the owner. He booked a time and quoted me 2 hours at $60 an hour for a minor body repair. He said to ask for him when I came back. I show up this morning about 15 minutes before my scheduled time, and they forgot I had an appointment. They finally took my truck in and had the work done in 2 hours, but charged me double saying it was because "two guys worked on it." Seriously? Not only did I miss more time from work, but they lied about the cost and provided shoddy workmanship. Stay away from this shop. The owner is a liar, and they'll scam you if given the opportunity. read more

Super happy with this shop ! My new 2012 fusion was sideswiped with a significant dent on the driver's side door. They ended up putting a new door because of the threat of rust damage (down the road) if not. Although my car was in their shop for 3 weeks this was due to working with the insurance co. to cover the extra fee of the replacement door. Well worth the wait. Looks brand new again and I'm very pleased with the work they did. Would defiantly go back to this shop if I need to in the future :) Annette V. read more

Their estimate was overpriced ... almost 2-3 times as much as other shops and the insurance company. Damage was a small dent in rear panel and scrapes on bumper. They claimed replacing metal and bumper were necessary. Not so said 2 other shops and the Insurance Company. On another note, their tiny office reeked of paint chemicals, etc. Those fumes can't be all that healthy for the young woman who works in the office over 8 hours/day. read more

Just had an excellent experience with Arlington Ctr Auto Body this week! The damage to my car was promptly examined when I arrived, I received a full explanation of the work to be done and the process to be used. A fair price was negotiated and a written quote received. Parts were ordered, work was done, and I received a call that the car was ready to be picked up on schedule. The shop did a great job matching the paint and the car looks like new! Very pleased from start to finish - thanks! read more

Several years ago I had work done by arlington center auto body. At that time i was working for cityside subaru. I needed some bodywork done to my truck and the service manager had told me to go to them because they were "the best" So i went to the owner of arlington center whos name was Joe and asked for an estimate. He had repeated to me over and over "dont worry about it" and "ill take care of you" I had come to find out that he had done work for the service manager for free because the service manager sent all the customers that needed bodywork to him. I had told the owner that i WOULD NOT accept the work for free and i needed an estimate? he continued to give me the same "dont worry about it" and "ill take care of you" During that time i left subaru and started to work for a chrysler dealership. 3 weeks after dropping off the truck i recieved a call saying my truck was done. I went to pick it up and when i got there Joe's brother Mario says hold on let me get the bill... I said the bill??? I had all the intention to pay them i actually had 300$ in my pocket when i walked into the bodyshop just out of principal. When he came to me with the bill my jaw dropped! 940$???? I said is this a joke? Joe comes running out and says "whats the problem?" Whats the problem i said?? i asked you a million times for an estimate and you didnt give me one?? He said to me "that truck was a lot of work" and i said, im not denying that but you cant just expect me to pay that when u never gave me an estimate. his response was ok give me 900$ then??? i was beside myself i said you know what here you go, whipped out the credit card and told him charge the whole f%^& 940$ but let me tell you this is the last dime youll ever get from me! It was the worst mistake i ever did taking my truck there. I guess because i was no longer an employee at subaru i no longer got the perks. His way of "taking care of you" is that subaru sends all customers bodywork to them in exchange for for free bodywork on their cars. But once you are no longer with Subaru, you are just a nobody. read more

This is a great family-owned body shop. I've brought a Subaru Legacy here 3 times in the last 10 years, all on insurance claims from fender benders - most recently this month. Each time, they've done a great job. Their work is excellent. They will be very responsive every time you call. They proactively reach out to you on any updates. They work with Enterprise Rent-A-Car so you just need to show up with your car and they'll take care of the rest. And, you can pick up your car and just leave the rental there. Every time I took my car in, it took 3-4 weeks, so you should expect that kind of time frame. There is always more damage to the car than meets the eye. And, there's always an extra insurance adjustment that needs to take place, more parts that need to be ordered. So, I think that comes with the territory. This is definitely my go-to place for any auto body work. read more

Brought car in after damaging the side on a concrete pillar. I got four estimates, Arlington Center, a dealer shop, another independent body shop, and a branch of a chain. Arlington Center came in at least $600 under the others. Admittedly, the other shops claimed they needed to take off the fender (very little damage), drop the rear bumper, and paint the passenger door (not damaged at all). They claimed this was necessary to make the repair seamless. Somehow, Arlington Center managed to make the repair seamless without doing all that. I couldn't be happier with the work or service (they finished 2 days ahead of schedule). read more

Arlington Center Auto Body did a very nice job repairing my car after it suffered front end damage in a traffic accident. I had insurance with a large deductible that I paid them directly, and they handled everything with the insurance company, including getting a supplemental amount after they found additional damage under the hood. They are very friendly, competent people--most of them are Brazilian, I believe. They went out of their way to make the car look great. In fact, they basically detailed it on the inside and gave it back to me looking quite new. They did the work promptly, always answered the phone when I called, and were just very pleasant to work with. They are indeed the shop that my Subaru dealer deals with, and for good reason. I recommend them highly. read more

Arlington Center Auto Body was recommended by my auto insurance company (Amica) after I had a front-end collision last month. These guys were really terrific to work with - they came and picked my car up at my house at no charge (it was driveable, but I have two small children and couldn't figure out how to get the car to the shop and then get me and the kids back home again). The repairs took longer than expected but I believe the blame can be placed on the necessary back-and-forth with the insurance company about replacement parts, and the guys at Arlington Center Auto Body were always very responsive when I called to check on the status of the repairs. They were professional and helpful and although I hope not to need car repairs in the future, I would go back here in an instant should the need arise. read more

The customer service representative is prompt and nice, however the work that this establishment produces is sloppy. I had my brand new car repaired here after an accident which resulted in $8K damage. I got the car back in less than acceptable condition. The rear bumper was dinged, the front hood was not buffed correctly, a window was not working, and there were scuff marks on the front bumper. A quick check of the car would have caught this before I came to pick it up. I brought the items to their notice and the agreed to fix them immediately, however I had to take more time out of my already busy schedule to drop the car off again. The owner is a really nice guy so, and so is the office manager, however you'll have to double check their work. read more
