I never been here before so when I walked in I got a great first impression. The staff was super friendly and gave me water. I showed a reference picture of the nails that I wanted. And the lady said she could do them with no doubt. She proceeds to do my nails and everything is going fine.once we get to the French tip she pulls out white even tho the picture is all pink. So she then gets pink. And does the French tip. They're bulky the entire time and I'm waiting to see after she files them. Only after she filed them she put a top coat on and I guess we were finished. I paid and left and cried in my car. I can never find a place that can do good French tip design. I'm not confrontational at all and I had already told the lady multiple times what I wanted in DETAILS. My nails are so bulky and make my hands look manly. They could be so cute if they weren't SO BULKY. They're really bad. I'm going to a salon right now to get them shaved down and probably painted over. I wanted to love this place because it's near my house but my first experience here was awful. I had an appointment this past Monday at 6pm. I made the appointment the day prior and was happy that I was able to get in the next day. I really needed to get my nails done because my previous dip had grown out. When I arrived the front desk person was so nice and so was the man that greeted me. When my nail tech called me over to start she wasn't very nice. Maybe I was her last appointment of the day, but she rushed the process and drilled my dip down fast. She thinned out my natural nail a lot. As she applied the glue or whatever is used for the dip she didn't even try to stay on just my nails. She got it on my skin around my nails. She did it so fast that. That was fine. I thought whatever. But she started to file down those areas after. My fingers were hurting and I thought maybe this is just her process so I didn't say anything. It wasn't until she pulled out the drill to drill down the sides and front of my nail and even my cuticles that I had to pull my hands away quickly because it hurt so bad! I let her know it hurt and she finished. A week later my cuticles still hurt and are still scabbed and my thumb will not heal. I am afraid it is infected now! I wish I got her name but I wanted to get out of there fast. I will not be coming back. My husband told me to call but honestly what's the point. I will not even accept a free service to return. The person behind me had a wonderful time with her nail tech. He talked to her the entire time and took his time. I really think it was just the person I ended up with. Whoever she was, hope you do not get her! I did 2 stars because the place was nice and everyone was happy but minus 3 stars for my experience. read more

I've been coming to this location for as long as I can remember. I have never had any issues with waiting too long or a bad technician. Even if I have an appointment and I'm waiting, things happen. I've never waited too long to the point I feel like I need to leave a bad review. Different technicians have done my pedicure and every time, I've had no issues. Even when I've done the luxury or classic pedicures, never had any burning or bad sensations. They always check in on me to ensure that I'm having a good experience. I love going to Katy for my nails because she always does such a good job! Very detail oriented and I respect it! I always want to do the trendy nails and she can always replicate them, no issue. Even when I broke a nail, and Katy wasn't in, another technician was able to replicate the exact designs I had on my nails. The manager Chris has even chimed in to help remove my nails while I was waiting for Katy. I appreciate their craft and don't mind waiting or paying for quality. I got a brand new acrylic set. 4 snapped off within three days. I went back to fix them, asked them to fix the remaining because they felt very weak. The nail tech agreed they felt weak but said no, they'll only fix the broken ones. As soon as I got home, another one broke and a sixth one broke today (a total of 8 days since I got them). I'm not going back to get them fixed-- at this point I've spent $100+ and upwards of 3 hrs on two separate occasion for a full set that looked good for less than 24 hrs. When I went back to get them fixed, they seemed pretty unhappy about doing so and accused me of having gone to a different nail salon until I showed them my bank transaction. The repair was rough and sloppy; I left with a bloody finger and glue all over my cuticles. Terrible experience, feeling cheated and upset. read more

How could a 5 star review turn into 1? Yep...that escalated quickly. Get ready people - this will be a lengthy rant. So for those who have the attention span of a gnat, I'll just say never EVER go to this nail salon. Horrible second time there with KATY. My first visit and second was with the exact same person, only completely different personality. I get it, some people have bad days- I truly understand that. But that idea goes out the window when she's giggling with co-workers and turning to me with an attitude. As if I have wronged her somehow. I am not exaggerating - from the moment I walked in she was cold, and somewhere else for the most part. Rude, very off putting and was super dismissive and indifferent about what I wanted. When using the electric file thing (I don't speak nail tech so not sure of the actual name) She actually was rough and kept doing something that I told her hurt me. Over and over she was just being rough with my thin nail bed, and I legit told her AT LEAST 10 times that it hurt and I'd even jump a little because I was really shocked at her manhandling me and disregarding my pain to do it how she wanted to. And I have several nose piercings, lip, and even septum has been pierced so my threshold for pain is pretty high but this girl HURT me- it still bothers me because I audibly told her ouch ow ow ow ouch and she ignored me. Maybe she didn't hear me, you'd say....she absolutely did and if she didn't hear me she can feel me jump every time she nearly cut my skin. So no excuses. AND nails were popping off left and right after 2 days - TWO DAYS!!! The first time she did my nails they stayed for nearly the entire 2 weeks- but she gave a shit then. This was the single most drastic transformation of anyone in the service industry i had ever seen. You don't laugh and play around with co workers then treat me like I've kicked your baby in the face. I did nothing but tip the hell out of her the first visit and really appreciated her, despite the ridiculously overpriced services. One last thing just so we are clear- I NEVER mind paying more for a service that is outstanding. In fact, I tip generously, (my mom says more than I should)but I like to show my big thanks on a job well done- See, no matter the cost I genuinely appreciate the time and care the person is putting into what they're doing...unless you're this chick. In which case she SUCKS- go somewhere else. Unless you're a glutton for punishment and dig dirty looks and if that sounds awesome then she's your girl. Katy, I'm talking to YOU! I come to get my nails done and have a relaxing experience, not to feel like I'm at a car dealership constantly being pushed at every turn toward an upsell. Not being given what I ask for and instead "coached" toward why something else is better but we both know it's because it's an extra charge is bad business and annoying as all hell. Horrible, If I could give it less than one star I would. I got a dip manicure and she ground my nails down SO thin. I have long natural nails and three have broken in a week and half since I got my nails done (this NEVER happens to me normally). I frequently get dip manicures and it normally takes just over an hour at my normal salon but this girl did it in less than 35 minutes. She was just trying to get me in and out of the chair asap and didn't care about the quality. The dip ended up being lumpy and thin in places. I did ask her to fix a few things and she did when I brought it up. They also use gel top coat on top of the dip powder and I hate when salons do that because it peels and scratches so easily. I asked if they had the dip top coat and she said "no". Extremely overpriced for such a crap dip manicure. I will say the front guy was really nice. read more

Please make sure you are having them break it down. Otherwise you will get charged more. Nails SNS with French dip 60, extra for reshaping even though I already came in with that same shape 5 dollars more not included within the service itself. Makes absolutely no sense. What is the shape where we don't charge extra not a clue. They did correct the price and honored it but only because I made them break it down. The math was not matching. Love the place but very overpriced and will charge you more if you don't question it. The prices do not encourage for a tip. Nails beautiful but overpriced and I've had more designed than I did today for less. I was charged for this service near downtown gilbert. Went in here to get my nails done with my daughter and her fiancé the day before her wedding. This place looks very nice on the inside and the environment was calm and tranquil but the problem I had was I saw everyone drinking something- some were drinking cocktails and some were drinking champagne. I thought that was so cool bc the name nail bar and the actual little waiting area which was a little bar which featured various champagne's and nice glasses. The problem I had was not once were we asked upon sitting to get serviced did we want anything to drink. Not even water. After we left my son in law said they offered him water. So do we have to ask for something to drink? Why wouldn't that be part of the business's custom service strategy? I go to different shops and usually that's the question. And rightly should be since I'm coming in spending money. I would be asking if for anything to get a tip. Then my nail tech is a different story - I think she misunderstood what I was asking for bc I told her I had acrylics on 2 of my nails bc they had broken and the last nail tech that I had put them on to match the length of my other nails. She kept saying for the ones that broke she would use a tip with a powder dip. These are my natural nails mind you that broke. I don't like the powder dip on my nails bc it makes my nails break. Understandably it's going over the tip but it's also going to be on my natural nail. Then I asked that the shape be kept like my natural nails which was rounded square but had to keep asking to round off the edges bc they were too squared. She did the best she could I guess. Long story short Wendy proceeded with the service and bc I was ready to get it over with so we weren't there all night I let her do it. The tech that did my pedicure did a great job. As far as going back I don't think I will - they are a little pricey as well and I feel if I'm paying the price for those services I should be offered something to drink - at most water bc we were going to be there for hours. As a loyal customer who has visited your salon seven times and consistently tipped generously, I expected a level of service and professionalism that was sorely lacking during my recent visit. Upon arriving early for my appointment, I was taken in promptly, which I appreciated. However, the confusion and miscommunication that followed regarding my nail treatment preferences were unacceptable. Despite clearly stating that I wanted gel acrylic nails in light pink and even showing a reference picture, I was provided with a selection of colors in dipping powder. When I attempted to clarify and express my preference for gel acrylic nails, I was met with resistance from both the manager and the nail technician. Feeling pressured and unsure, I reluctantly agreed to proceed with both dipping powder and gel nails. Unfortunately, the execution of the service was subpar. The technician's filing, sanding, and buffing were haphazard, resulting in a messy and unsatisfactory outcome. There were visible flakes, cracks, and chemical peeling around and underneath my acrylic nails, which is completely unacceptable given the price I paid for the service. I regret not being able to address these issues in person, as I had to leave abruptly to go pick up my boyfriend's kid for her playdate tonight. The $65.00 I spent on the service, plus the $10.00 tip, feels like a waste considering the poor quality of the experience. There was a language barrier with the tech i had so the receptionist had to come over to help translate for my pedicure. Which i had no problem with after the 2nd time of needed to translate the receptionist told me " if i have to come over here again to translate then im going to ask you to leave" . I received a gift card for my birthday and was so excited to get a mani and pedi as it's been at least 6 months since I had one. To start I had a gel pedicure. He didn't even use the light on my feet. Then I had a gel mani, a different guy did my mani and painted my nails too far away from the nail bed. I tried to tell him but he didn't understand. My toes chipped by the afternoon. A couple days later I had pain in my feet. Sure enough I had an infection on my big toe. Dr said it's definitely from the pedicure. She didn't ask for permission to put this chemical on my cut - which was excruciating. I think these people get off on hurting you. What made it worse was the tech was dishonest about what happened to her boss, and I had to explain it holding back tears. All I wanted was a relaxing experience and I was left with a limp. I really wanted to like this place. Ugh. First, some positives: the lady who did my pedicure was very nice and she did a good job. The front desk guy was very welcoming and professional. The location is in a very nice shopping area and the salon itself is spacious, modern and well decorated. Unfortunately, my overall experience was not positive. I went in with a pre-scheduled appointment (not a walk in) for a pedicure and an acrylic fill. Without asking me, they started working on both my hands and my feet while I was in the pedicure chair. I told them I'd rather have my hands done when my pedicure was over, so I could enjoy the pedicure. They just kept going with both at the same time. The guy doing my fill was very heavy handed with the drill and kept nicking my cuticles (which as anyone who's had that happen knows, it hurts). I told him nicely that he'd gotten me with the drill and he said "relax, I'm not cutting you". He did it again on the other hand and I spoke up again, telling him it hurt and to please go easier with the drill. He then said "I know for sure I am not hurting you!" I responded that I know very clearly when I'm feeling pain and that if I'm telling him it hurts, then it hurts. His response was "look, you're not bleeding". At that point, I my pedicure was almost over and I'd hardly noticed I'd had it done, because I couldn't relax to enjoy it. I just wanted to get out of there at that point. I get that they want to churn and burn as many clients through as they can in a day to make the most money they can, but when a customer walks out feeling rushed, not listened to and mocked for the pain they caused, it's not a good look. read more

Another thing was when I came back to get a new set I had showed her the picture I wanted. Yet to hear her say " sorry, we can't do that". So I showed another photo and it was no, nope, can't do it. She didn't even bother to help me. She just told me to choose a color and to choose a chrome and call it that. She didn't help me or assist me in any way. My own bf wanted to leave because he could tell I was getting overwhelmed when I know nail salons normally help you. But this one just didn't do crap. Nothing at all. Just told me pick a color...... When I'm there to get help from someone experienced and it truly felt like she and the entire thing didn't care.... The photos shown are what I had shown her. This place just broke me heart. Because I thought it was nice. But sadly it's a place that can only paint and that's it. It hasn't been a full week since I got them done and one already broke.
