I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. Found them on google decided to try them out for a gel pedicure. Worse decision. Oof idk how to even begin, I'm so torn on what kind of review to leave or how many stars to put at this point. My bestie and I would go here together for our pedicures. Recently, they got all new people, and Tammy was who started my pedicure. I came in for a fill on the toes I had from before, there was one chipped but they were intact and looked nice still. She wanted to remove the toe that was perfectly fine and began trying to rip it off with a nail tip. I tried to do it myself because she was hurting me and it started bleeding. I asked her if we could just file it down as much as possible and add acrylic on top. She didn't file it down, added the acrylic, over flooded my cuticles and the acrylic was all lumpy. I kept asking for crisp square corners and instead she kept making them more rounded. She was about to put the French tip on when I stopped her and started crying telling her I was sorry but I did not like them at all. cause she kept trying to tell me it was "good" and "nice and straight" I really tried to trust the process. Luckily Kenzie walked in shortly before I started crying saying I didn't like them. She got up immediately and came to the rescue, she took over, she had soo much to fix, basically had to redo them entirely. She redid them the shape and acrylic looks sooo much better, she started to do the French tip. At this point I'd been here for 3.5 hours, and my husband calls saying he has to be at work. I had to have Kenzie stop and only had the left side with French tip. Lol but they looked so much better. I came back to the salon the next morning (the day I'm writing this) cause she said she would fix it. Kenzie gets 5 stars, above and beyond. Tammy who has been doing nails for 30 years, I'm sorry girlfriend, but maybe it's time to retire. Anybody who's done nails any amount of time, knows what she was doing was not right. went in for dip nails and there's only one person that does them. He did an awful job. He tried to do French tip, but they were too thick so I asked him to take it off and leave them pink. He left white residue everywhere and didn't bother to clean up my nails. He tried to blame it on brushes that he was using. For being walk-ins, I was glad at how quickly my mom and i were attended. I think we were helped by Sandy and Vivian (but I may be misremembering their names, as it's been 2 weeks since our visit). The person who attended me took her time, was very patient, and super thorough -- but the person who attended my mom seemed to be rushing through the work and seemed upset when my mom requested that she do another layer of polish on her nails (because the application was visibly uneven). Unlike at other salons, my gel manicures began to chip less than a week after we got it done - to be fair though, their policy explicitly states they are not liable for any chips or damage once you've left the establishment. While this place is efficient, affordable, and the technicians were not constantly trying to upsell us, I am not sure we'll return given the lack of durability. read more

The lady doing my PREGNANT sisters toes was so rude!!! My sister told her multiple times she wanted french tip but didn't listen. She got up and was going to send her off without french tips, and when my sister said "wait no wheres my french tips?" The lady stopped and sat down again and then said oh okay it's going to be more then. Like lady she told you from the beginning she wanted french tip and you already gave her the price but then acted like you didn't hear her and yet charge her more? And then when the lady was doing the french tip she was making the tip thick and not thin so when my sister said something about it again, the lady got mad and took nail polish remover and took off everything. I'm very frustrated i went to DC nails and seen a technician named Alexis few months ago and my nails lifted within hour's alllllllllll my nails lifted i went back 4 time's in the week,,,i gave up on her after 4 new set sets within the month!!!! This was probably one of the worst pedicure experiences I could ever record. I'm not one to comment ever about services, I usually move on but this service was an absolute disaster. I got to the salon at 12 and there were 4 techs who were not doing anything but practicing on one another. I understand that when there are no customers but people were there to be serviced. I got into the chair at 12:10 and didn't get the service started until about 12:30. My biggest complaint was simply about how the techs acted. The first girl did not want to do them and you can simply tell by her vibe. The Second Lady Amy was very sweet and gentle, she did her job perfectly. Then a third lady came and did my toes with acrylic. I asked for a simple pedicure with acrylic big toes, it's beyond ridiculous that it took 3 TECHS to complete this singular job. For the amount I paid, i am not satisfied whatsoever. The 45$ pedicure is AT MOST worth 25$. Sorry, save your money and go somewhere else! read more

I don't entirely know what I expected. I would say "You get what you pay for" except this was way more expensive than it should've been. Service: 1/10 The first person to do my manicure was occupied on his phone when I came in and kept telling me to sign in without telling me how or what to do. The ipad they used was acting up because of the poor wifi quality. I asked him for a coffin shape and everything was crooked. Then I asked for him to fix it. He sped through instead to get to another customer who had come in and pushed me off to the side. I sat in the pedicure chair for at least 10min before someone came over and addressed me. At this point, my acrylics were on but the color wasn't done and the shape was still lacking. The pedicure was the only good thing done here, the woman who did my pedicure deserves a higher rating. But the men here are just not it. Price: 3/10 according to the website it should've only been about $75 ($38 for acrylic full set with gel & $40 for the classic pedicure with gel) except I paid $96. Where's my receipt? Not offered, that's for sure... I'm visiting from out of town and have to say my routine only ever comes out to $75 and lasts me 3+ weeks. If you look in the photo, my shape is nowhere near a coffin and definitely square. The tips weren't fit properly and my natural nail is hanging out. The edges are crooked and uneven. The male nail tech told me "it doesn't look good to get short/medium coffins" yet I get this style very very often. I didn't ask for opinions on what looks best, I asked for them to do something that they clearly don't know how to do properly. That's where I went wrong. Positive: - Their color selection was nice and they had a lot of choices for nudes and browns which is hard to find. - The woman who did my pedicure deserves all good things. read more

You get what you pay for. They got me in last minute which was the only positive thing. I wanted a simple French gel manicure. I had one already and said I wanted the same exact thing. She filed my nails down very thin and uneven, but I don't ever say anything right away because I dont like interrupting their workflow. She then proceeded to paint my nails a solid color. It took three different people for them to understand I wanted a simple gel French manicure. She didn't paint a neutral base first, she just painted on the messiest French I've ever had. Crooked lines, paint all over my cuticles, and because it was clear you can see the unfiled spots from my previous manicure. I don't think her tools were very clean either. Look elsewhere it's not worth the cost savings and convenience because I'm going to have to go get them redone somewhere else tomorrow. read more

I have never experienced getting my nails done before quite like this: he kept double checking to make sure my nails were perfect and was very detailed oriented. Visiting from California and got great service from Anne & Kay. Anne did my full set, pedicure, and she was thorough, took her time, and gave me exactly what I wanted (green flower set). It took two hours but we'll worth it. Kay did my sisters full set and he was precise & quick (pink set). I would've given them a 5 stars but we came back the next day to get eyelashes and we're told to come at 12 and would take an hour each. We came at 12 and the eyelash tech didn't show until 12:45. Then she had attitude with no apology, and said it would take 2 hours instead of 1. We may have continued with the lash service, but with her rudeness, we declined. I went in yesterday for a gel pedicure and they took 2 hours. I came in and instantly sat in a chair because there was only one other person in there. This is my first time in the shop since new ownership and it was so disappointing. The girls working in there are so unprofessional. One girl had her phone on speakerphone while on the phone with her boyfriend. Another was playing music off her phone. The girl doing my toes obviously didn't know what she was doing because she kept having to ask about how many coats to put on my feet. I asked for French tips and she kept messing up and had to start over again. ALSO i did not see the girl open a fresh pack of tools so who knows if they were even sanitized. Came in wanting a gel manicure to replace my old SNS nails. I had an almond shape with those nails and wanted my gel nails to be more of an oval shape. The nail tech chopped more than I wanted on my nails making the results of my nail shape more of a round shape. I pointed that out and he argued with me saying that he trimmed at the length I pointed to him which was false. Even my friend who I was with at the time agreed he cut too much of my nail off. The gel polish was tacky as well showing that the salon did not have the greatest of supplies. He did not clean under my nails either and hardly trimmed my cuticles. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by how bright and pretty it was inside. Very clean and organized. When I went in, it was super busy, so I was worried it would be a long wait without an appointment. However, I wasn't even waiting 5 minutes before they brought me back.
