I was in the area and decided to drop in for a quick mother-daughter nail day. I'm so happy we did because we both love our nails and will make the 40-minute drive to return! I was surprised to see the bad reviews on Yelp, but in my conversation with the owners, I found out they took over about 2 months ago. The new owners have completely transformed the atmosphere--warmer, more professional, and far more organized than the reviews I saw online. They stayed after closing hours to ensure we left happy, and they won't let you go unless your nails are perfect! I can see that the owners care about their work and are passionate about building their business. They are fairly new so I would recommend booking an appointment or calling in advance if you're short on time. We waited for a while since they were understaffed for Mother's Day but I think the wait was well worth it. read more

So sad. I just moved across the street from this nail salon and thought I would try it. Got a gel mani, which was hurried to say the very least. Zero lotion after, no light massage, nothing. I didn't even know we were done before he was off to the next person. The guy told the lady at the desk when I asked about it, that he didn't do a massage bc I was in a hurry (I am not at all). The polish was quickly done and lumpy as well. My cuticles look like a mess still. Polish all over my fingers. Dang. I guess the one star could be for getting me in quickly? I Loved this place when they first opened. It was relaxing and they did an amazing job. Fast forward 3 months and they seemed to have hired anyone they could to accomodate the demand. The problem is that they do not seem to be skilled in doing nails. Last week I came in and a new lady did my nails. They were so wavy and thin. They started breaking 2 days later. I went in on Sunday and the owner told me to come back Tuesday and he would fix them. Well, he wasn't here, but his sister in law Dee was and gave me the same, if not worse, crappy looking nails. This time I remembered to take photos. I'd avoid this place. It's back to the same crappy nail salon everyone avoided. The only difference is this time they charge you for nail shaping. If you look at the photos from today's disaster, Dee had no idea what shaping was. She couldn't even file down the tips I had to put on my thumbs to match the rest of the nails and I asked her 3 times to please cut them. I'm just done. There is nothing more infuriating than rearranging your schedule to get a botched job fixed only to have the "fix" looking worse than the first disaster. read more

My daughter went to get her nails done. She was there for 3 hrs and left crying. I thought they took that long to do with a design, which would of still be an over kill. She was texting me telling me they were thick and lumpy. She said I'm having them fix it and they'll add design after. When she got home and I saw her nails ‍ they were plain with no design. It literally took them 3 HOURS DO PLAIN NAILS!!! As a former nail technician. I can tell whoever did her nails. Was not experienced at all. The manager says no one better to do the job. What a complete waste of time and money! $65 for plain peachy, thick nails. There are SO many better salons out there. Go to those!! read more

Everyone here is so nice and welcoming! I get the Relaxing Pedicure and it's always great. It is actually a little more than what I used to pay where I used to go, but has the benefit of a paraffin wax treatment that I didn't get at my old place. I'm always very happy with my results and it's totally worth the money! PRO TIP: MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! I've seen the manager have to turn away walk-ins because people didn't have an appointment and he simply doesn't have enough nail techs right now. I hated seeing him have to turn away customers that would help his business during these crazy times, so make an appointment so that you can be accommodated and so that this business can be sustained. read more

I recently went to this salon and was treated very rudely. The first man I encountered didn't welcome me and just said to get a polish. I was told to "sit over here". The male nail technician didn't say anything to me when he worked on my feet and was extremely rough during the whole pedicure. (No, it don't have sensitive feet). I never received another service I requested on the form. After the pedicure experience, I decided to not even ask about it. I just wanted to leave. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for last 8 months. I have been very generous and polite with everyone at the salon. Multiple times the Tom who is manager has rescheduled my appointments with Amy who is nail technician. They have no respect for my time and mentioned that Amy cannot help last minute to do dip powder or want to for future appointments. I was very grateful for them but sadly it turned out in such unprofessional manner. He promised to call me back to get this resolved when I have been nothing but cooperative and polite with all the associates at the salon. I came today to a first time appt. A huge argument broke out between husband/wife nail techs and manager and another nail tech. It was escalating with the manager firing the husband and wife. In the heat of the argument the manager went into the back and had a knife behind his back I guess to protect himself. I should have called 911. This really upset me...needless to say I won't be returning! Awful experience! read more

Love love love this place. Amy is a master at what she does. I do dipping powder every few weeks and walk away with gorgeous nails every time. Sometimes I go in with a picture of what I want and Amy will match it. Sometimes I go in with no ideas and Amy makes fun suggestions that I always love. She always gives me lots of options and suggestions. The pedicures are also amazing. Tracy and Susan are fantastic. My only suggestion is that you call to make an appt first. This place is gold and they book up fast, but the service and quality are worth it and the prices are great. read more

Worst nail dip I've ever had in my life. The older gentleman doing my nails seemed unclear what a French manicure was to begin with when he kept asking me to pick a color. Then he gets started with the drill and is very heavy handed. I asked him to please go a bit lighter. It was very clear after he started that the nail products they were using were also poor quality. The powder was not adhering properly to the base. He starts adding layer after layer of the white and then gets frustrated and speaks in his native language to the lady there and she comes over and proceeds to take over. She is apologizing and trying to fix it but also realizes that the powder is spotty. My nails were so thick on the tips and I thought she would try and file them down but didn't. I had a wedding to go to later that day and was running out of time as it had been almost 2 hours. She was hastily drilling and filing and tells me she will have to paint GEL polish over the white because it's so bad. She adds a silver line to cover the edge of the white that's uneven without asking, even though I had gold dip accent nails. I was completely frustrated and she kept saying "I made it better for you." Better than horrible maybe but not good. She did not give me any kind of discount either. I've gone multiple times to this location because of the convenience. There is one particular man that works at this location who was beyond rude to me the entire time I was there. I tried to make it through my appointment but ended up in tears and walking out in the middle of my pedicure. Manager cornered me on the way out asking what happened. I have been going to Argyle Nail and Spa for a year. I made the switch because I wanted to support a local Argyle business after going to my previous salon for over 10 years. I'm so glad I did. As much as I liked my old salon I like Argyle Nails even better. Amy does my nails and she is is amazing! My dipped nails look natural (that's the way I like them) and last a long time. She is a perfectionist. The pedicures are wonderful and a good value. But the best thing about Argyle Nails is that it's so welcoming. Everyone is so friendly and Andy knows the name of every customer. I highly recommend making the switch and giving them a try. read more

They always talk you out of getting tips and just tell you to dip over your regular nails. They are all husband and wife couples here. Nails always broke and they would only dip twice in the product. They do not rub your legs long at all. They are always short staffed as well. read more

Getting A mani/pedi is a costly luxury that I can't do without. I love the new management at Argyle nails now, unfortunately I have had Kim several times and she is not very good . Have had to get redone elsewhere. read more
