My hubby and I went for a quick pedicure and manicure. Every care was taken for maximum relaxation and beautiful nails. I had gel nails and full pedicure. Everyone was kind worked together and got us in and out in good order. The massage chairs were fabulous. I think this is a hidden gem.
Amazing service!!! I walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and was seated immediately! The ambiance is relaxed they have a nice indie pop playlist playing. It's super relaxing with a nice waterfall in the background. All of the nail tools are new and individuality packaged in a sanitized bag that they open in front of you. My nail technician was sweet and kind! I will definitely be coming back :)
I'm pretty disappointed that I just spent $100 for my nails to look the way they do. I have scabs all around my nails:( my husband asked if they would fix them and they said they would not. They made it clear that I would need to pay full price if I wanted them redone. My toe lady was very kind throughout the experience. But I can't say the same about the manager and others. This was my one day off and I really wanted to treat myself:( anyways,, Here's what I asked for and then what I got. I'd definitely try somewhere else:/
All accolades go to my tech Devon. I've been going to her since February and she hasn't failed me yet. She's super sweet & my nails last up to 3 weeks. Here are a few of the sets I've done.
I don't even write reviews but I have to write a review about this place. This was my first time going here and they are inconsistent with their pricing. They will price you one thing then whenever it is time to actually pay they will try to price you another thing. I don't understand their length policy either, they cut like 2mm then say that is a $2 difference. After I said I didnt like the nails I got, they were french tips with a pink base. This man came out of nowhere trying to join the argument when I was trying to talk to Jennifer which I believe is her name, because I was dissatisfied because the nail was giving bubbly and it needed buffing and it just wasn't giving at all. Mind you, they were going to charge me $88 for some long french tip nails, that were completely different from my vision, but I was open to compromising. Anyways, after I said I didn't like it the man was like just cut it off and I said that's fine, but they cut it off and left it like that and told me I would. The overall place is mid as well
My appointment was a disaster from the beginning. The gentleman who was supposed to be working on my pedicure and manicure was fine. My issue is with the owner, H Tran Phuc. He came over to my chair and started questioning my choices I selected on my card. He started yelling at me telling me I am wrong, and my ticket is wrong. He didn't speak very good English. I couldn't understand what the problem was, and I noticed a couple looking at me a few seats down. I asked them if they were happy with the service and they said no. The female was visibly unhappy with the service. I put my shoes back on, grabbed my belongings, and he came closer and shoved that piece of paper in my face and began screaming at me that he didn't need my money, he called me stupid. I asked him for his name, he told me he didn't have to tell me. So I took my phone out and told him I would just take a picture of him. He grabbed my wrist and my phone and threw it at least 10 feet away, landing in the woman's bowl who I was just mentioning above. He threw my arm back at me and shoved me back. All the while, calling me stupid. When he pushed me back, I threw my hands at him as anyone should do if someone lays hands on them!! I called the police, they watched the video. The owner, this OUTSTANDING man in my community is disgusting. Do not give your money to him, or his business. Side note: Their prices are a gouge as well. No good business happening @ VIP Nail Lounge on Loop 288 in Denton Texas.
Had a really great experience here! They took their time with me, making sure I understood how much I would be paying before doing any work. & my tech let me talk his ear off. Lol - thanks Jason!! I do feel compelled to say yes, prices went up since I regularly got my nails done, HOWEVER, if you get your nails and/or hair done - we should ALL take a moment to remember where we were sitting exactly a year ago. Roots grown out, nails off, attempting to do those things on our own.... (failed attempts here!!) ....now think about those people who provide those services. They weren't worried about their nails and hair. They were worried about paying their bills. Supply and demand has been effected by COVID and I think it is important we all remember that when writing a review.
When I came in I was asked to wait but someone actually started helping me immediately. She drilled the topcoat off my nails and got one hand in a plastic bag with a small amount of acetone and left. I waited a while and all the polish was off that hand so I took it out. She came back and didn't drill the other hand and put my hand back in the same plastic bag. I saw her walk over and work on another person's nails. I realized she used the same drill on us both without cleaning it. Also, the acetone was saturated with the polish and glitter so it just redeposited the polish back on my hands. I had glitter under my nails. I got up to wash my hands. She walked away past me when I was washing and I said I needed more acetone to get everything off my hands and nails. When I sat back down she wanted to use her drill with the paper tip on my skin. I told her I did not want her drilling my skin. She insisted and I said I was leaving. I got up and walked out. A man followed me to my car and demanded I pay $12 for service and I said I didn't get any service. He followed me to my car and threatened to call the police. So I went back in and paid to avoid him calling the police. I am concerned about the cleanliness and the safety of this salon. I wish I could give them a zero rating. They don't deserve one star.
I went in wanting Christmas themed nails plus French colored toes. The gentleman who did the toes was great. The lady who did my nails, not so much. Wanted to do color dip powder French manicure with one solid painted nail on each hand, with nail length. I brought in premade gel plaid patterns to make it easy for the one solid colored nail. Technician told me no because it was not the exact size. Reminded her that they normally cut to the size. I asked if she would be able to hand paint a plaid pattern, she responded yes. See attached pictures for her design. I had to request multiple times for her to remove colored dip from the clear portion of the nail. She did not glue extensions all the way down so they are visible on the nail. She did not file the dip even so you can see the lumps and bumps all over them. Would not recommend.
I went to VIP nails the first day they opened (5/8). I had made an appointment but they had overbooked themselves. I made an appointment specifically for ombré long nails. Jason was the technician who did my nails. He rushed them and and they are neither coffin shaped or long which I paid for. The powder is already chipping and it has only been 4 days. One of the nails is broken. After he rushed to do them he then put oil directly on top of them and wiped them off ruining the top coat. He told me he would fix all 10 of them since all 10 are messed up. The only reason I did not stay longer is because I had been there since 10:30 and had to work at 2pm. He didn't "finish" until 2pm. Here we are 4 days later (5/12). I made appointment for this morning and came in a bit late but the shop was empty. He said I will only fix the ones that are broken and I explained to him that they were ruined. He said that is what happens after 3-4 days of wearing them. I have been getting my nails done since I was 11. That is not true. He said he would only fix my nails if I would pay for a full set. I said that it is not my fault that you did my nails wrong. He then said he did not and that he was no longer going to even attempt to fix them.
DO NOT GO HERE! Terrible customer service from the manager. I wanted to find somewhere that was not as busy as my normal place since it was always hard to get in without an appointment. I found VIP Nails, the first few visits were great for pedicures but today I decided to splurge and get my nails dipped. I asked for almond and mind you, I have fat middle fingers and I was worried the nails would be too skinny, I even voiced my concern to the girl as she was cutting the tips. When she finished, the nails were NOT smooth, they were bumpy and you could see it under the finishing polish and when you turned my mail to look at it from the side. My middle finger nails were pointing upwards and you could see my natural nail on the sides. They were thick near the cuticles and not even smoothed to blend into my natural nail. I don't like complaining, it's extremely rare but I was not happy with my nails. Especially being a single mom with not a lot of funds to splurge on myself. I had the manager called over and let him know I was NOT happy and he pointed out that it "matches my natural mail shape" which it did not, and he asked me what I wanted him to do about it. I told him I wanted it fixed and pointed to the lady next to me saying I want them to look like that. He said everyone's nails are different, I told him I understand that, that I've been getting my nails done since I was a teenager (I'm 34 yrs old) he didn't want to hear it and started talking down to me in front of the entire salon. I started to get upset for his unprofessional approach. He asked me again what I wanted him to do and at this point I told him to just take them off, I'll go to my regular place. He gave me a bowl to soak them off but never checked back in with me. My fingers were covered acetone and polish, he didn't offer to clean them off or anything. Thankfully my salon was able to squeeze me in and they look AMAZING! Exactly what I asked for. I'm never going back to VIP Nails. (Pictures are after they clipped the tips off before I soaked them off)

Terrible service, charging me for a $20 removal and couldn't even do it properly. you can clearly see the left over acrylic, I did vouch out for myself and said he didn't take it off properly, gave a nasty look and said okay sit down. I was not going to sit down again and have him do it all upset. so I paid and left, I will not be back. DO NOT recommend! read more

I live in MN and I've not found a single salon that holds their services and standards as high as VIP Nail Lounge. They work at such a high level of professionalism and they deliver stellar services. I've had manicures, pedicures, dipped and polished, and all times have turned out amazing. I take my aunt and mother here and they also rave about the salon. VIP Nail Lounge will forever have our business. read more

It's been a little over a week and my nails are already chipping and are very impressionable towards dyes on my clothes which has never happened before. I paid $60 plus tip for a dip set with stars on my nails and it was too overpriced for what I received. My nail lady was sweet but the stars did not look good and I had to keep speaking up so they looked proportional and not terrible. The designs were ok I can get away with them but for $60 with my nails they should have looked a better. They were really nice there though and a dip redo is $48 dollars and they didn't cut down my cuticles or anything - just color change. read more

Absolutely AWFUL customer service and ability to understand English. This cAuses a huge barrier for customer service. I had my nails done and they all chipped the next day. I went back 3 different times (each time told to come back bc they were too busy) then when I did finally get in, he said oh they broke because it's been a few days since you were here. I ended up paying double just to fix their problem and poor quality nail supplies. read more

Nails turned out cute but does not last. I normally dont break nails but first nail broke same day and all the rest broke within the week... no happy will not go here again. Right now my nails are only a week old see pics... My nails usually last atleast a month with no issues.. not here. read more

I'm so happy with my nails!!!! They had so many ADORABLE sticker options ! While the lady was doing my nails she kept asking to make sure I liked them which was very nice. The interior was relaxing. They have a waterfall that makes the experience very relaxing. read more

I'm new to Denton and have been trying to find a new nail salon to call my own. After signing in I was asked, "Do you want something to drink? We have margaritas!" And I knew I was home. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the staff is amazing. So friendly, attentive and great at their skill. The salon is very clean and sanitized. They offer many color options for gel color and Nexgen dip powders. I had an ombré dip manicure that turned out amazingly! I also got the deluxe lavender pedicure. The deluxe includes paraffin wax and hot stone massage, which I have never seen at a $45 price point! I am very impressed! Would definitely recommend and will absolutely be back! Monday - Thursday from 9-5 they off 15% off pedicures and manicures. read more

Let me start by saying that my nail tech and Lucas (who did my pedicure) were friendly and kind. The atmosphere was great and although I checked my drink preference on the sign in form, when Lucas noticed I didn't have anything to drink (Diet Coke) as he started my pedicure he ensured that I got one. As far as my nail service, I called ahead an made an appointment, but that didn't seem to matter once I got there. There wasn't a long wait, but the first young lady that I spoke with seemed to have trouble understanding what I meant and someone else had to tell me to sign in via the paper form. I got dipping powder (Nexgen) which was $40. I had a set of Nexgen on my nails and the removal process has made my fingers quite tender since. I'm used to having the top layer manually filed off and then soaking in the acetone with the foil. However, my old set was filed off via drill and then put into the acetone foil "packs". I didn't think anything of it at the time of service, but after leaving the salon I noticed that my fingers were tingling. They began to hurt because of all the drilling that was done (removal, buffing/smoothing, cleaning around the cuticles). At one point during removal, I must have jumped because she grabbed my finger to soothe it. 12 hours later and my fingers still hurt. There were several color options which I thought was FABULOUS!! I chose three and she applied each according to my specifications. However, there were several bumps in the application and she would buff them out before dipping again. The top coat of my nails is messed up, but she told me (as well as another gentleman) that if there were any problems with my nails to come back within 7 days and they would fix it. I will be going back, but I'm going to give my nails a day or two to stop hurting before I allow them to fix them. I'll update once that happen! Overall, nice place and people but I'm not pleased with the nail procedures or final product! 11/5 UPDATE I walked in to get my nails fixed and I was told to come back in an hour because they were busy, which I understood. However, the owner came up to me and told me that I needed to call and come back. I could tell that he was frazzled and thought that it was because of his workload. After waiting an hour, I called and was told to come back. When I arrived, the owner was waiting with his laptop and told me he wanted to talk to me. He told me to sit and began asking me why I left this review. He made sure that I knew that I hurt his feelings, those of the young lady that did my nails, and his business by posting the review before allowing them to fix my nails. He looked at my nails and said that it was just the top coat that messed up and it was an easy fix. Basically, I was reprimanded for posting my honest experience (the good and the bad). He was prepared to argue and was visibly upset. Instead of taking the opportunity to make my experience better and win me back as a customer (and possibly my husband for pedicures), he was offended and made sure to confront me. I posted my honest opinion immediately after service. I did not see it as a slight to him or his business. Customer service (when there is a difference of opinions) is obviously not a strong suit for him. I walked out without my nails fixed. He shouted "that's fine!" as I walked out. What could have become a 4-5 star experience is now a 1 star experience (0 if I could!!) I will NOT be returning to this salon. read more

Super happy with how my nails turned out! Found a design very similar on Pinterest and they helped me pick the colors close to what I found. It was nice to go to a nail salon where they took their time and I didn't feel rushed. Will definitely be back read more

My real nails are really short but I wanted long acrylic nails for my birthday in 2 week . I know they will break easily if not taken care of but I really want them . Would that be a problem?
Hi Vannah, if your real nails are short, we can make the acrylic thicker to keep them from breaking easy. You just need to be more careful with your nails when you work, if anything happens in within 1 week, we’ll fix for you for free.
