Today I got a haircut by Ella Deleanu. I have really curly hair and came in with a bad haircut. She said she doesn't necessarily specialize in curly hair but omg she did so good. She consulted me at the beginning to assess what I wanted out of this haircut and she made me feel so valid. She took her time and looked at every strand and told me what was done wrong and kept as much length as possible. She made me feel like I could speak up about how I want my hair which is really nice because I don't always feel welcome to at other places. She also recommended products for my struggle areas. Anyways, she did great and fixed my hair. I would like her to call herself a curly hair specialist soon. As for now, feel comfortable trusting her with your curly hair. Stephanie is the bomb! I will be coming back to have her cut and style my hair again. Scheduling was super easy, parking is awful as there are limited spots unless you want to walk. When you walk up to the door, you wait outside and text your stylist and they will let you in to be in guidance with social distancing. I went here just to get layers and cut my hair maybe two inches more down to my collarbone and she cut my hair this short and said she didn't realize until she blow dried, I can't see without my glasses so I didn't realize how bad she did. And the layers are fine but she literally cut my whole hair off when she didn't need to. And I asked her it's way shorter than we discussed and she said yea I'm sorry but you look good. It isn't what I asked for my and my confidence is feeling not great. I'm suppose to be meeting my boyfriends parents and I just don't feel the best. Honestly, not a super personable experience. My stylist is great but definitely can see clicks amongst the other women. That's baffling to me when I'm used to a salon that everyone is engaging with each other. I am a new client and was booked with Stephanie. The long story short is: she is fantastic, and she made me feel beautiful again, which I haven't felt like in a very long time. I booked an appointment online and got a message that evening from Stephanie herself. We had a mini consultation over the phone, and met with me the next day. I let her have full rein over my hair-- and she was the first stylist I've ever worked with who did just that. I've attached a before and after below. She kept me away from the mirror so she could surprise me, and she did not disappoint. I nearly cried tears of joy to see my hair so full of life again. I wanted a nice short summer haircut with some thin bangs. I specifically asked for long layers because my thick hair, instead I got my top layer cut with a three inch gap in between my first and second layer. Next she asked about half way through if I would rather curtain bangs and I was like I'll give it a try, they are just a straight chop next to my jaw line. The only thing that I wanted and got was the length of my bottom two layers. Before I got to see my hair at the salon, she styled my hair by curling it. My hair does not stay curled for very long and I soon saw how bad it was. The only way my hair looks some what okay is pulled up in a ugly looking ponytail. I just moved to Texas from California and needed a new stylist. I looked up Salon NV Ans read alot of the reviews before deciding to go here. I am Not very trusting when it comes to my hair. It is deceivingly thick. Most stylist in my life have struggled to cut it and alway mess it up. I told Eric this when we were discussing what to do with my hair. Terrible experience, I do not recommend Michelle at all! I came in with pictures of a brunette color. When she recommended a brunette color with copper undertones, I accepted the recommendation, thinking the undertone must be subtle, because the pictures I showed her had very little if any red. My hair, however, turned out very very red. So red that when I showed my boyfriend his first words were "wow it's... red". Not the reaction you want when you came in for a dark brunette. When I texted her with my concerns, she was extremely dismissive and told me I had chosen the color. No, YOU chose the color and I agreed to it because you're supposed to be the expert! When I asked her if we could correct it and showed her pictures of the discrepancy between the hair color pictures I had showed her and the hair color she gave me, she gave no offers to remedy the situation and stopped responding to me! I found the way she handled the situation to be extremely unprofessional. Luckily I was able to find someone at a different salon to correct the color and now I have the color I had originally wanted. Too bad I had to waste $100 by seeing Michelle first. read more

Sorry but no, they missed the mark by a long shot. I went in for highlights a few months ago and although it felt great getting highlights after letting my hair go for so long I guess I didn't pay close enough attention until I got home and realized my hair was still super dark. I tried calling the salon and whoever answered told me that it would cost the same as the initial appointment to have it redone, wtf? She said she would reach out to the girl who did my hair and she did kindly text me to get me in as soon as possible. But after some thought I kept thinking "why should I go a pay AGAIN?!" So I text her back before the appointment and let her know my husband was flying me to California to see my usual stylist because that's how unhappy I was and kindly canceled my appointment because I didn't want to pay again chancing another terrible job. Only then she says something along the lines of "ok I'm sorry you're not happy and it would have been on the house".... ummm that's not what the girl at the front desk told me I'm attaching pictures of what I showed her my hair usually looks like and pictures of how it looked when I left. As you can see one side even has lighter or more highlights than the other and my hair was still DARK! They might be good at other services but if blonde is what you want avoid this place, you'll be severely disappointed read more

Decided to get my hair done before starting my new job, so I called the salon. Michelle answered and was very sweet on the phone and very accommodating with my last-minute cut and color request. I brought my kiddos with me and she was very hospitable, offering us drinks right away. Michelle had wonderful chair-side manner. I felt very comfortable and relaxed. Michelle was quick but thorough; she wasn't slow but also wasn't rushing. She did a great job and I would recommend her to anybody. They are also very reasonably priced. As a student at UNT, I found Salon NV in the heart of Denton to be convenient but pricey. After so long, I wanted a dramatic change to my hair and chose to get it colored. Being my first time, I was very hesitant to using bleach (I've got black hair). Thankfully, the ladies at Salon NV was able to give me my brown full color with highlights which I instantly fell in love with. People loved what I had done to my hair. Soon after graduation, I moved out of Denton and was never able to find a salon like this one!! 4 years later, I went back to Salon NV and Letha did an amazing job with my balayage.
