I initially called and left a voicemail, then followed up by text with the inspection report and clearly explained exactly what I was looking to have quoted. Instead of providing a bid for the specific items requested, I was told that I should "probably" replace the entire panel because it was a "safety concern," and was quoted approximately $2,300 for that work. I was also told that because the house has aluminum wiring, I would have to rewire the entire house. I specifically asked again if they could provide a quote for just the three items identified in the inspection, and was told, "Yes." I then asked again for the quote, and after that I never heard back. I understand that a contractor may recommend additional work when they believe it is warranted, but there is a big difference between making a recommendation and refusing to provide the requested estimate, particularly after telling a customer that you would + trying to use fear tactics to create a bigger job. The whole experience felt like an attempt to steer me toward substantially more expensive work rather than addressing the specific repairs I actually requested. I would not recommend this company based on my experience. If you contact them, make sure you get exactly what you are asking for in writing and don't feel pressured into additional work.
