As they cut each limb--and eventually the trunk--the crane carried the pieces OVER my house. If that sounds like a recipe for nervous pacing and indigestion, it was. Yet, I agreed to this approach because I had high confidence in Adirondack from my first phone call with the owner, Bill Barlow. He gave me his cell number, answered his cell most of the time and if not, he returned my call very quickly. He gave me an estimate within 24 hours. Bill worked with me on the timing of the tree-cutting. They showed up on time. They did the job safely and efficiently, and as promised. There was saw dust everywhere, but when they left, they had cleaned up so immaculately that you'd have no idea any work was done at my house that day. Adirondack was one of the most expensive of 8 companies I contacted, but I knew from my conversations with Bill that I was willing to pay more to have responsiveness (two of the companies I called kept saying they'd go to my house to give me a quote but never did) and the gut feeling that Adirondack was a quality operation that would keep my house (and my neighbors' houses) safe. My lawn was lush and green until September 23, 2026, when a Trugreen technician did an application…read moreand two days later I had brown streaks on the lawn showing the spray pattern of the Trugreen lawn chemicals. In the morning, I called their customer service number 833-418-5004 and spoke with someone (who had a foreign accent and difficult to understand), and he said he would get someone right out to look at it. No one showed up. On Monday morning, September 28th I drove to address of the local Trugreen office 12220 S 10th Ave, Pasco WA 99301 and found a warehouse with no one in it and all the doors locked. I looked through the window and saw no furniture and the lights out. There was a listing of phone numbers posted behind the window. I called the first one, Regional Director Joel McKay 708-359-5210 and left a message. He never responded. Next, I called the Regional Technical Manager, Joe Krum 770-318-8799. He answered and said he would have the local manager give me a call. I did get a call from "Gerald" who was in Spokane WA. He said they were in transition and the new manager would give me a call in 15 minutes. No call. I called Gerald again in the afternoon and he once again said the manager would give me a call. I did get a call later in the afternoon from William Richardson 509-827-1731 who said he wasn't the manager yet, but he would be in a couple of days. He came over to my house and said he would order a free application of "Revive" which was the standard treatment for my sort of lawn damage. I guess this happens often enough for them to have a "standard treatment". I told Richard that I wanted a refund, and he said he couldn't authorize it, but he would request it from the billing people who were somewhere in Iowa (or Ohio?). On October 1st Trugreen applied Revive to my lawn. I expect Trugreen to reimburse me for my trouble by refunding the price of the treatment that damaged my lawn. Furthermore, if my lawn doesn't revive in the spring I expect Trugreen to pay for the restoration costs of reseeding and possible new turf installation.

We loved the "parklike" feeling our new house had. These huge ancient trees around the house looked…read moreawesome and made everything so private. However, big branches were falling off randomly with just regular winds so I was nervous being outside with the kids. Some of the trees were also leaving towards the house and the neighbors house so we really needed to have them removed. These guys are really the hardest working guys I've seen in a long time. They took down 15 huge trees in 3 days. One day worked from 7am - 8pm! Powerwashing our patio furniture to clean up after themselves! What? They raked the yard and I think even spread grass seed at the end to smooth out the tire tracks! Oh, and the truck had made a little crack in sidewalk, they brought it to our attention (we would have never noticed!) and we said it's no big deal so they offered to do some extra tasks to make up for it. Yes, removing trees can feel super expensive to you when you get the estimate but once you see the work they have to do (and risks they take) to remove each tree you'll understand why the rate has to be high.
