I called Tru Green last night to inquire about the services they provide. When I discovered that…read morethey do not provide the services I need, I informed them that they were not the right company for me. I called them for a job in New Jersey, and they called me back twice today from a number spoofed to my cell phone's area code on the other side of the country. Very unprofessional to not use a dedicated local company phone number for call-back. Super scammy and un-trustworthy. I wouldn't hire them even if they did provide the services I need because calling me back twice from a rural nowhere-ville area code phone number gives me scammy vibes and implies very un-professional business ethics. Would give zero stars if I could, and I haven't even had the displeasure of working with them. And they hung up on me in the middle of my sentence when I called them out for being scammy by using a phone number spoofer to call me back (twice). If they call me again from my middle-of-nowhere, different region of the country area code again, I'm reporting them to the Federal Communications Commission for predatory communications practices.

However, big branches were falling off randomly with just regular winds so I was nervous being outside with the kids. Some of the trees were also leaving towards the house and the neighbors house so we really needed to have them removed. These guys are really the hardest working guys I've seen in a long time. They took down 15 huge trees in 3 days. One day worked from 7am - 8pm! Powerwashing our patio furniture to clean up after themselves! What? They raked the yard and I think even spread grass seed at the end to smooth out the tire tracks! Oh, and the truck had made a little crack in sidewalk, they brought it to our attention (we would have never noticed!) and we said it's no big deal so they offered to do some extra tasks to make up for it. Yes, removing trees can feel super expensive to you when you get the estimate but once you see the work they have to do (and risks they take) to remove each tree you'll understand why the rate has to be high.

We hired A&H Tree Service based on a neighbor's referral to remove a few branches from a large tree…read morein our yard. They did remove the branches--and maybe one more than expected--but overall, the work itself was fine, and they cleaned up the debris. That said, the customer experience left a lot to be desired. Communication was lacking throughout, except when they repeatedly followed up for the deposit. They didn't tell us in advance that our driveway and front street needed to be clear for their truck, so my partner had to rush home from work to move the car. After the job, no photos were shared, and when I asked about the price and 3% credit card fee, they pointed to the contract. Fair enough--but it would've been helpful if they had mentioned that upfront. I offered to send cash or a check to avoid the surcharge, but they said credit card is now the only accepted method. Between the lack of communication and inflexibility, I wouldn't recommend them based on customer service alone. Hopefully the residue left on our vinyl fence comes off with a hose.
