I was approached by a door to door sales representative regarding the pest control service the company provides. He promised a discounted competitive price compared with our current pest control provider. I was told they would spray inside and outside of the home and would come out free of charge in between sprays if there were any problems. The pest controller came to the home for the initial service sprayed and said they would not spray inside the home. I contacted the company and was informed they are not "obligated" to spray inside the homes. I said I wanted to stop the services due to false advertising and the duties that were not performed but promised at the time we signed up for their services. I was told I had to pay $299 for breaking the contract and the cost of the initial service. I wish I had researched the BBB as they have over 400 complaints similar to what I experienced. read more

Are you kidding me, this is what I come home to after a hard day at work?? These vultures came to my home knocked on my door and sold my wife a service I was performing myself. The sad part is that when they sprayed the perimeter of my home they skipped over every space where they didn't have open access to the home's perimeter (BBQ, Trash cans, 2 storage containers, pool equipment and they walked past our furniture without attending to the spiders and egg sacks in place. I ended up removing the spiders and egg sacks myself the following weekend and spraying the entire home again in 20 minutes. It upsets me that my wife allowed herself to be bullied into buying the service which I cancelled as soon as I got home that night but at least do a thorough job. Now I don't only feel invaded (we live in a gated community which doesn't allow door to door) but ripped off as well. Amazon sells the exact incesticide they use for less than $35.00 and a hudson sprayer is another $20.00. If you don't know what you are doing there is a "do it yourself pest control" website that makes it dummy proof and trust me, you will perform better than this "spray and pay" service. read more

These people are as bad as the cable company. Holy crap avoid them. When you go to cancel they put you in a save hold that then "randomly" disconnects you and when you do get a hold of someone after being on hold for FORTY FIVE minutes they refuse to accept that you want to cancel and then when you get pissed they threaten to hang up on you. they then pretend you need to verify your identity even thought they have been calling you by your name for the whole call. Terrible company. I scheduled two reservices. One for an infestation of these little flying bugs in my yard (that only appeared after my first service). Another for a LARGE wasp nest in a my yard. Their spray didn't work for either and my neighbor (who is an older gentleman) got swarmed by the wasps. Ended up getting a can of raid from fleet farm (which killed them all easily and quickly). I tried to cancel and they said it would be a $200 cancellation fee. What a joke. THIS IS A SCAM WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY. A lady by the name of D'on harassed my wife at our home, it is a high pressured sell you now tactic, and they ignore no solicitation signs in plain view. The next day she came back to my house because my wife wouldn't sign an agreement until she spoke with me and I approved along with my wife for the service. Next day, she returns and tries to pressure me into signing up for service, with a truck around the corner ready to service our home. I decline her service offers because I'm very happy with my current provider. I had to inform her 3 times I work from home and I was busy at work so I was not wanting to entertain any further dialog, she was extremely pushy. Today, my wife received a contract via email for services! UNBELIEVABLE that this D'on woman would initial and sign this without my or my wife's consent. AVOID THIS COMPANY COMPLETELY. I found YELP while looking for this company to raise my complaint with, and now I'm happy to see they are rated 2.5/5 and falling. read more

We just moved to Houston from another state. The Aptive door to door Sales person presented that are very bad creatures in the area and tries to get you to sign up for a one-year commitment ($128.82/quarter) after introducing a discounted $53.04 teaser rate instead of the usual initial start of $250. Unfortunately I did the mistake and I signed. Aptive has come to my property 2 times. Once for the initial treatment that was poor and they did minimal work in 15-20 minutes. But the second for $128 was even worse. The service person didn't show within the scheduled time frame, his office didn't know where he was and never returned the call to give the new arrival time. The serviceman showed up 5 hours later and he was in his car for about 5 minutes then he only spent less than 8 minutes in my property and again 10 minutes in his car to prepare the e-bill. Aptive does nothing of what they present and promise in order to make you commit for their services. Not spraying up to 3 ft in the walls, getting rid of all kind of bug (shown in a brochure) and blah... blah... Poor job and $128 for 6-8 minutes???? You better STAY AWAY I have more bugs now than before and I have taken pictures of them, the chemical that the use must be diluted with water. I hope one day the District Attorney will go after them. read more

While I was picking up the mail Aptive sale representative approached me and it was not easy to dismiss him, at the end I agreed to use their service to treat some of the trees in my house. I was promised multiple times that if I am not satisfied with their service they will comeback to redo the service. For the past few days I have been traying to connect with them to advice them that there is no improvement after their application, however they don't pick the line. The only extension they will pick is the sales line and when I spoke to the sales agent she connected my call to another number that belongs to another pest control company who mentioned that they are not affiliated with Aptive and they have been getting their calls despite their complains to Aptive company. From my experience, Aptive provide cheap product that does not work and don't care about customer satisfaction. read more

He felt really suspect, his business cards were blank, and when he went into his wallet to grab another company's card, I noticed he didn't have a driver's license. Absolute fraud. They treated in November for things that where no longer an issue based on freezing temperatures. Despite this I believe them when they said it would have an impact this spring. They then treated in January for the following: Crack & Crevice, De-Webbing, Overhang wasp inspection. I am in Minnesota an we have 10+ inches of snow on the ground and it was -12 degrees this morning. There is no way that treated the cracks & crevice through the snow, there is certainly no spiders or bugs out creating webbing and I don't know about anyone else but I have yet to see a wasp out flying in these winter conditions. read more

Worst company ever! Techs don't follow appointment windows and come and go as they please. No courtesy call if late, company cancels the day of and last min. When you call to follow up or make a complaint you can NEVER get through. After spray follow ups never happens because they don't answer calls to set appointments, and when you finally get through they won't accommodate or work with your schedule, you have to accommodate the techs schedules. FACTS: On June 3, a pest control salesperson came to my rental property and said he was "in the neighborhood" and would do an initial treatment to the perimeter of the house for $50 and the next treatment would be free. My tenant paid with a credit card. On June 26, "Nathan" showed up to treat the house and said it would be $113. He claimed the tenant had a 12 month contract. I explained the agreement that was understood and Nathan said he had been hearing that a lot and we needed to call the company and tell them what happened and the name of the salesperson was Hunter Huntington (which I think was made up.) I have called the company twice and left a callback number and a message, both ignored. The company says they are going to treat the property on July 1st through a text, which we have been trying to tell them not to do by calling them. My tenant did not sign any agreement, only the credit card receipt. Both conversations on both days were recorded on my Ring camera. read more

The first service lasted 10 mins and not sure how effective that will be it was a rush job. I was not happy with the way it was done so I called to cancel the service. I was threatened to report to collection and was never given any other option. They should have the decency to talk properly and professionally with a customer. I would stay far far away from them. . A guy from Aptive knocked on my door this evening. When he said who he was with I pointed out my no soliciting sign, to which he replied that he isn't selling anything (Lie #1. More on that shortly). He tells me that about 20 of my neighbors on the street are Aptive customers (Lie #2. I work from home and I have never seen an Aptive truck in the neighborhood, and I know for a fact that the majority of my neighbors use ABC). He went on to say that he will be in the neighborhood this week treating their houses (Lie #3, see Lie #2) and that it is their policy to let the neighbors of customers know and to expect an increase in pest activity as a result (Lie #4. Seriously??). Oh, and we're offering 50% off your first treatment of you sign up today (See Lie #1). It's unfortunate that there are businesses that think deception and dishonesty are the right methods to build their businesses. And it's too bad there are people that get suckered in. read more

Young lady showed up at my door at 8:15pm with iPad because they were around since my neighbors have "switched" to them. She was sweet, but she doesn't even know how to type my address properly. Really, did she received any training? I was so close to give my credit card. Thankfully I didn't. The next day, I went to neighbors and asked if they have signed up, 10 houses in my street said no, and I asked familiar neighbors in different streets, not surprised they also said no. Please, don't lie to people, we are not that stupid. Knock people houses after 6pm is unprofessional and rude. And no, it is not ok to knock my door. Door to door salesman, came to my door, rang the bell 3x, then proceeded to blow his nose into my bushes, then wipe his snot on my house in multiple places. All of this is on security cam video. Additionally in a community Facebook group multiple comments were made stating "Very pushy little guy. I had to tell him off just to get rid of him", and "at my old house they offered me a free try before you buy service. I let them do it and then didn't sign up. This company has to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. There sells guy which I flagged down told me a price and then twice while trying to pay it kept going up. Should have been a flag but I kept going. Then i tell them i want to be contacted when they come by text not email. They said they would do both. So, the day before my first treatment, I just happened to open my email and they had sent an email saying they would be there the next day. Also, I have dogs and so they cant treat the back unless I'm there. So, I stayed home. They never showed up. Then i checked my email and it said they had been there and i had been charged. Nobody came! When i called they sent a guy the next day. The guy came out with a little hand sprayer and sprayed my windows and doors with it. When he was about to leave I asked him if he was gonna spray my yard, which is why I got the service. To help with the fleas and mosquitos. He said they dont even capability to do that. Which is why I bought the service. Anyway, it's been a horrible experience. The manager told me it was all my fault. Said i couldn't cancel. It's been awful! It's all been resolved now. I gave him my CC and he asked if he should email with confirmation. Next morning I saw his email. There was a contract attached with electronically forged initials and signature. He had said NO contract and I never saw one. I called their office and told them what happened. Supposedly, a supervisor said they would talk to Hunter. I told them as long as they don't contact me again, then I would not file complaints with authorities. No one showed up to my home for service. As far as I can tell, they never charged my CC. However, last night the salesman contacted me about rescheduling the service. Evidently the office never talked to him about forging my initials and signature. So, I filed a consumer complaint with the TX AG and a criminal complaint with the TCPD. read more

I wanted to write this review about this company, I signed up last year from a door to door person that was very nice and I wanted to help him out with his job. I signed up for 4 appointments every three months for a total of $400. I was home each time they came and that was not a problem. Today on 04/05/2022 I receive a text that my Aptive appointment will be on 04/12/22 so I said that I had not signed up for any further service appointments so I decided to give them a call and cancel, which I did, the person on the line sounded like he was falling asleep, I tell him that I wanted to cancel because I didn't want any further services at my house so He tells me that if I cancel it will be more money than to take the service on the 12th. and I will still have to call them back to cancel because He didn't want to do it. He pissed me off so bad I told him to take his $199 and cancel me right away. He had the nerves to laugh at me on the phone and say thank you have a nice day and HANG Up!! the phone on me. Everyone please stay away from this company, they are a ripoff and the people they use for customer service are not trained at all to deal with the problems that come afterwards. Their product doesn't work, when you call for a respray they don't respond. 4 phone calls over 2 weeks and no one would ever have the decency to call me back.
