I booked this company after received 10+ quotes on yelp. This company was quick to respond and gave competitive rates for the services I was looking for (spiders.. ants.. basic pest.. etc). They came to spray and did the baseboards and the perimeter of the home. There was no need to evacuate the home as there was no odor. About a month later I started noticing a lot of spiders around the home and in the kitchen and garage. Its a brand new home and its pretty common that they come back sometimes so I gave Plano Pest Control a call again and asked about a respray. Honest, straightforward company. They told me over the phone how I could take care of my problem myself, but that they would also be glad to come by and help. I had a dead animal in my wall and couldn't find it. I didn't know what to do about it. I called another company first. They came out and said it would be 6,000 dollars! I wasn't home and my wife was stuck talking to these con men who scared the heck out of her. I called Plano Pest Control after that. I'm glad I did. I immediately felt better after talking to them . After calling two other places regarding a mice problem in the attic of my home, I finally got a decent quote from Plano Pest Control. First quote was $7,900 and the second was $3,300!!! I have used Plano Pest Control 3 times, once for carpenter ant treatment, and twice for regular pest control. Their prices are fair, they don't up-sell or change prices after completing the work. Heard a noise through a bathroom vent. Googled for help and had a company come out to inspect my home. The inspector claimed to have found two distinct rat infestations - with rat trails and rat feces as evidence. He said there were too many for just traps - we'd need to take more drastic steps. He walked me around the house, pointed out issues and told all they would do. Then he gave me a bid for just over $8K. Needless to say, I got a second opinion. And that's when I called Plano Pest Control. First, the woman who answered the phone helped calm me down. Her son-in-law came out a couple of days later. He inspected the attic and said he saw no evidence of any rats at all. I told him of the first inspection. He said he'd go up in the attic and recheck. Came back down - his opinion hadn't changed - I didn't have any rats in my attic. No urine smells, no trails, no feces, no nothing. He declined to set out any traps because he said it would just be a waste of my money. Rats in my attic? Based on their conflicting inspections, one would think at least one of the two inspectors was a rat. You can decide which one you think it was. And which one wasn't. I have used this company for over 20 years for both my home and business. I recently received a phone call from Megan to schedule my quarterly maintenance appointment. She was so rude and unaccommodating I can't give this company my business any longer. I've never had a problem with any other aspect of this company. I am not satisfied at all with this company. They had to come back a total a 4 times because I kept seeing water bugs. The guy kept claiming it was because I had an old house but my problems just started this year! Yesterday when he came to "spray" again he only sprayed one area and then left. I am so aggravated with this company. I paid for my home to be sprayed not to get drips in the corners and need you to return 3 more times. Sounds great, except that when we called them to request they return to treat, because PPC had failed to eliminate some ants, they informed me it would be 10 days before they could treat. Ten days? Ants could carry us away in ten days! Funny, PPC serviced our residence the day after our initial inquiry. Bottom line, Plano Pest Control will upsale you on their 90-day guarantee. I feel like I been waste my money for pest control. I request them to get ride of mice in my house and they came to put mouse traps and baits. The warranty is only one month and when I call them back in 3 weeks they told me there is nothing they can do if the mouse don't want to eat the baits. so why do I spend $160 for? We were having problems with rodents in our attic so I first researched on yelp to see who had good reviews and was affordable. Unfortunately I did not research enough because I saw that Plano Pest Control had good reviews, however our experience was terrible! I called and scheduled an appt. Karla stated that they come out, do an assessment and do whatever they have to in order to take care of the problem, and only charge $200 no matter what they had to do. Seems like a great deal. The gentleman comes out, I tell him where I have been hearing the activity so he looks around. He tells me there is NO evidence of rodents in the attic so maybe they are running on top of the roof. I explain that that is NOT the care, I have heard squirrels on the roof before, they are def inside. He finds a hole in the eave of the roof in front of the house. I assumed he would fill that since Karla said they do whatever to fix the problem. Not the case, we have to pay additional for that.
