Five stars ONLY because we finally got a new tech for this area!! Two months of horrible service from Orkin after I asked them to please address my issues. They told me I would just have to deal with it my previous tech was always in a rush and he was just off, sagging pants complaining about the company and how badly structured they where was sad. So this review is for the new tech. Reece was very happy, polite and professional. The fact that he treated areas like he was suppose to do and never once complained and his uniform was well put together. Thank you! read more

Orkin ignored two callback requests, sent an unprepared tech who wouldn't even wear booties, and the only time they managed decent service was when they were taking my credit card. Zero stars if I could. Orkin was a complete failure from start to finish. I had a 6 month service, and the technician, David, couldn't even manage the basics. I had to repeatedly ask him to wear booties in my home, and half the time he showed up without them. He even refused to come inside during an active ant problem because he "didn't have any." If a technician is stomping through attics full of rodent feces and still refuses to wear booties in my home, that tells you everything about Orkin's standards. When I canceled in March, I was told a manager callback was "required." I never got one. When I called again in April after the 30 day notice, the customer service rep was rude, dismissive, and made it clear my concerns weren't worth their time. Still no callback. Then today, when I finally paid the balance, the rep was suddenly polite. Apparently the only time Orkin can deliver decent service is when all they need is a credit card number. After ignoring two callback requests, they asked if I wanted one now. I told them I didn't get one the last two times, so why would I expect one now. Unprepared technician, no hygiene standards, rude customer service, zero accountability. I will never use Orkin again. I switched to a local company, Haven, and the difference is immediate, professional, and honestly a relief. read more

My husband and I moved into a new house and soon found out that we have a scorpion problem where we live now. Needless to say we were happy to call these guys out here to Service/spray down the house. Looked at the traps the last guy set out today and found at least two scorpions per trap, so I know it's working lol. We can rest a bit easier knowing that our furr babies have a chance in the house now. read more

Orkin - Pest Control Near Me - Wylie, Texas

Chris and Kyle are great at their job and have amazing customer service, which is why i gave a 3 star rating. However, I called this morning to inquire why I was charged the initial $230 on Feb 2nd, another $101 on the 6th and yet another payment today March 6th of $101. that's a lot of money within less than 40 days. The lady who answered initially said she'd call me back, I waited an hour and called them again. The man who answered had an attitude from the beginning minus his greeting. talked over me when I'm trying to understand why I'm being charged so often. He stated the $230 payment was for a January 31st appointment, then $101 for February. I asked why it was not set up to come out 30 days later. He wanted to argue with me instead of just coming up with that solution himself. He did end up offering a refund for today and changing the date, but for the amount of money this service has so far cost me I won't be continuing based on his poor customer service. We're a young family of 4 and I don't have the time to argue with a customer service agent over (I feel) a simple issue that could've been resolved without such a problem and the fact I was willing to pay monthly... just not over $400 in such a short amount of time. read more

Until yesterday, after 14 years I would have given 5 stars. Yesterday left message after hours. No response. Left another message today at 1130. No response. Called and got the loop that directs you and fields calls. After 4 rounds, finally got someone and we got disconnected. Then called the emergency number, he directed me to the same franchise, no answer. Huge ant infestation inside on ceiling. In the past they would have answered and came out same day. read more

Orkin is absolutely the way to go for any pest control. They have amazing service and are very knowledgeable about whatever issues you have. Our tech Aaron goes above and beyond and is incredibly friendly and always on time. The service is well worth the money and especially the mosquito service they offer is AMAZING. You can literally see when it's time for them to come back but there are almost no mosquitoes up until then. Orkin service is worth every penny for sure. read more

The employees at this Orkin location lie to their customers about the dangers of using rat poison. Their bait stations contain a chemical that is extremely harmful to pets and other wildlife, even if the poison is ingested second-hand (e.g., by eating a rodent that has eaten the poison). My dog got extremely sick by eating a rat that had been poisoned by our neighbor's Orkin rat bait station. The neighbor said that Orkin didn't warn her about this risk. So, I called Orkin, and sure enough, they are insisting that their poison shouldn't hurt domestic animals or wildlife larger than a rat. NOTE: The label for this rat poison is posted on Orkin's website, and it CLEARLY STATES "This product is extremely toxic to fish, birds and other wildlife. Dogs and predatory and scavenging mammals and birds might be poisoned if they feed upon animals that have eaten this bait." When I mentioned this to Orkin, they side-stepped the subject. They even suggested that my dog might have eaten a rat that was poisoned by a different company's rat poison. In other words, they are not acknowledging that the substance they use is harmful to domestic animals, even though the product label spells this out in black and white. Either Orkin is knowingly lying to its customers, or Orkin's employees do not (or cannot) read their own product labels. Either way, it is disturbing. Would you trust people like this to put chemicals around your home? read more

We signed up for Ecoguard Pest Control when we bought our house in in Stonebridge Ranch two years ago. I was impressed with their technicians, who seemed to not only know what they were doing, but it appeared the enjoyed their job and took pride in it. They took time to talk to you, explain things that makes them seem like they have MBA's in chemistry and entomology (I was really impressed!). Not quite a year ago, they were absorbed by Orkin. The professionalism continues; great service, prompt responses to emergencies and humans on the phone when you need them. A recent billing error that had me concerned had them responding to my email immediately, followed by a phone call, then a check in the mail via FedEx and just now a follow-up call. I've been very pleased. FYI, service runs $99 every three months. They will come out in-between scheduled visits if you have a problem. It's been worth it for us. That's all I got. I'm sure Orkin is Google-able for further details read more

I did contact the company after they responded to my review and they did exactly ZERO--exactly as I expected after calling them. Very poor service. read more

While we had a bad experience with the effectiveness of the service, and decided to take it upon ourselves to remedy our pest situation, I'm giving three stars instead of 1 because the manager, Derek, was gracious enough to do everything he could to right the situation. Unfortunately, it was too late since we had taken steps to fix our bug problem ourselves, he's a good man and wants to take care of his customers. read more
