James Young was polite and thorough, making sure he addressed all my concerns. He explained everything he did, and he even got rid of a wasp nest near my front door. I highly recommend him and Romex! read more

I have tried repeatdly tried to get them to perform the function I have been paying them for. Their tech shows up walks arond a little and leaves 10 minutes after he got there. I have a sign on the gate that says beware of dog, well they see that and leave, they don't even try to contact us. normally when we know they are coming the dogs are put up. Their customer care keep telling me they could send a supervisor out, but I have had a supervisor out twice with nothing done. They can not even knock down the wasp nest, really poor service. Oh don't get their over rated termite service, it is a scam if they actually. They have billed me for the service and never came out to check the bait stations. I know this as I have cameras and know who comes and goes. Go with someone else or better yet purchase your own pest spray an do it youself for an 1/8 of the cost I give them a -1 out of 10 read more

They canceled their 1st scheduled visit after having us do a lot of work to get ready for them, removing dishwasher, removing refrigerator, and stove, emptying all cabinets. We told them to cancel our contract, because they were in breach of contract. They charged our credit card without our authorization for a cancelation fee, and will not rescend it. read more

Never purchased the service due to the sales guy. He promised numerous things and kept changing the price trying to get us to sign up. He kept trying to get my wife to sign up for things even though she said she wasn't interested. He kept coming down on the price trying to make a sale. COMPLETELY unprofessional. Offered to pay for the first month out of his own pocket. What a joke! Made my wife feel uncomfortable, I was considering calling the police to make him get off my porch. We told him we already had pest control service and that should have been enough, but he kept insisting. Had to call the neighbors to tell them not to answer the door when he comes by their home. read more

Don't do it... Whatever the sales rep said is just to get you to sign up. Was originally told my dog was not a problem by the sales rep and that he made a friendly dog notation on the account. Then we get a call that they cant service the property because we have a dog. I understand the dog policy, but that is not what we were told at the time we signed up. and we have to pay the cancellation fee. Customer service is non-existent. I asked to speak with a manager, was told would have someone call back. That call back was 2 weeks later... The service that we did have before they decided they couldnt service the property was not good, problem pests still existed. This company is a scam and waste of money and your time. read more

I'm really disappointed with Romex Pest Control. When I first signed up, I saw so many good reviews and expected reliable service. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. Their quarterly service is supposed to cover both interior and exterior, but they repeatedly show up without any notice. I've called multiple times asking them to give me a heads-up and at least a 30-minute call before the technician arrives--something they promised--but it has never happened. Today was especially frustrating. I was given a four-hour service window, but the technician showed up two hours after that window without a single apology or even the courtesy of a call. This is simply not the level of professionalism I expected. It feels like once you sign the contract, they stop trying. I plan to cancel as soon as my one-year contract is up. I wanted to share my experience so others know what to expect before committing. read more

Zero star? I called and booked, 9am Saturday am Tech will call 15-30 min out on the way. Easy...but confirmation text had no time listed??? Sat am 9...nothing. Gave up at 1:30pm went on my errands. 3:45...got call from Tech, 45 minutes out. I was other side of town. Come on... (Oh did I forget to tell you...I am not home?) IDIOTS...RUN Folks PS...I went to "The Pest Shop". Owner set me up with basic DIY program, once a month takes me 15 min. Their service is such bad and that they don't even check anything just clean in some area and leave it within 10mins and take 1 picture just that he did somethin. In our quarterly service, the technician do not even listen you and very rude behavior saying I am the one who decides what service required, I don't care of the sales team with their promise, it so funny. I would definitely not recommend Romex and look some other company who can provide better service for same the price or even less. read more

Have used them for 5 years and have been totally satisfied. Great communication. Great customer service.

This company will scam you.. they leave out information during the consultation resulting in you paying more than you agreed. Then when you try and cancel they want 250$. This business is so shady steer clear!!! read more

They did not deliver at all when it comes to pest control, we still had numerous ants and spiders throughout our yard and inside. When ever we called for a follow up they'd recommend we give it time to work or schedule new service to charge us sooner. After 4/5 months and absolutely zero results we paid the cancellation fee, worth it. Salesman was a great talker though, we thought we signed up for top of the line service... read more

I paid $1,800 to purchase and have 14 termite stations installed. 6 months later I go to sell my house and cancel the monthly termite treatment and they can and took the stations I purchased leaving big holes in the ground. I purchased these stations and they should have been left alone. They only got a star because I had to put at least one to post. read more

0 STARS IF IT WOULD LET ME!! Don't waste your time or money on this company! The products suck, the technicians lie about coming and/or provide services to the WRONG house. The fees charged change from month too month and apparently they have no idea what a QUARTERLY service treatment is!! read more

Dishonest company. Fell for the sales pitch. They over promise and under deliver. Locked into prices and contracts, can't quit even when it's not working out. You tell them multiple times that you want to quit when contracts over- but they continue to charge and keep u locked in with differing end dates. Called multiple times and still can't get through to anyone and quit. They also can't even answer what you pay for or what your monthly cost actually is(changes as well as services). Paid for things that we don't get... different sprayers do different jobs, some are thorough and some completely skip areas or 'forget' over and over. Would not recommend. read more

Logan has performed our service several times. Always professional and is concerned about our needs. Highly recommend!

Horacio Gutierrez did wonderful and was kind and quick. I love Romex Pest Control and they are consistent and my home stays pest free.

This is the worst company!! Do not waste your money!!Sales people are pushy- will not take no for an answer. To my shame I caved-Negotiated price and the amount of times they would come out. They would not hold up their hand written signed contract. Customer service would not help. Will never use them again. Scam!! read more

Travis was every accommodating and explained their process via phone and email. They admitted their error and offered a refund for services not performed and early contract termination. I admit that my initial review was posted in frustration, and I apologize to the fine men and women at Romex for any backlash that my post may have caused. In closing the services that I did receive were top notch, and were as promised and delivered. read more

Romex has been nothing short of amazing since day one! Reasonably priced, great service! We have had bi-monthly pest control for the last year just to be proactive and they come out for any needs between services as well. I would not hesitate to use them again or refer them. :) read more

Professional, willing to communicate and coordinate and assist customers with concerns. They perform great work. Would recommend!

Romex employs door-to-door sales associates who go around and ring your neighbor's doorbells. If you are thinking of working with this company or already are, be aware that whether or not you permit them they will use your name when knocking on your neighbor's doors. Working with this company may earn you a few angry looks from your neighbors. A sales associate walked up to my front door today, looked at the "No Soliciting" sign right above my doorbell, and rang it anyway. Once I answered, he proceeded to tell me that my neighbors two and three houses down sent him, even using their names. I informed the sales associate that I was not interested and pointed to my "No Soliciting" sign saying we had one. He told me he didn't see the sign and then proceeded to continue his pitch anyway. This is the second or third time in 6 months I've had to tell this particular sales associate that we are not interested in their services and that we have a "No Soliciting" sign. He still comes to our door and rolls around our neighborhood on his hoverboard. I'm not sure what else I have to do to get the company to stop knocking on my door. read more

Horrible company! Told us when they came to our door that we could schedule anytime up to 7pm at night. Was not the case! Extremely rude office staff. When we did schedule for 4-6 pm, the technician started texting my phone at 7am asking if he could come then, when I told him no, he proceeded to text me every single hour until our original appointment time. We still had bugs in between services, but it was a chore every single time to get scheduled for a time convenient for us for our bimonthly service, that I didn't want to have to schedule a service in between. Again, when I tried explaining that to them, the office staff, including the management was extremely rude. They charged us $250 to cancel. I paid on that bill monthly, and when it wasn't paid (all but $75) within 90 days, they threatened collections! For freaking pest control! DO NOT USE THEM!!! Rude, extremely expensive, and terrible service! If I could give zero stars, I would! read more

Do No Sign Agreement With This Company - We had someone come to our home early this summer and we signed a contract they agreed to treat our home - the person showed one time for 15 min in June was supposed to return in July never returned. Received a random text saying they would try late in August and when I spoke to manager he said they could not service our home due to "availability "but if I cancelled I would be billed $250 even though they never serviced my home! All summer no services !! Terrible company Terrible service DO NOT ACCEPT THE CONTRACT OR PROVIDE YOUR DEBIT CARD TRUST ME!! read more

We are a first time customers with Romex and would recommend them to anyone looking for pest control. We are getting quartly spraysJohnny L came out and was very personable and professional. He answered all of our questions and was accommodating of our work schedules. Thanks for keeping the bugs out!!! Update: 6/5/19- We just had our 2nd spray, and still happy with Romex. Tye was super helpful and answered all of my questions. He let me know when it was safe to let my dog out in the backyard, and told me exactly what he was going to do before the service started. Tye was friendly and efficient. I love the follow up email we get after every service! Thanks for the great customer service. read more

The service was great! They got the job done and I could usually get a hold of someone quickly. I did have a bit of an issue in cancelling due to the contract I signed. Though I was aware of the number of services I'd signed up for, I had discussed the possibility of leaving the country with the original sales rep who said they would work with my unique situation. This has since become a reality. The rep I was connected to seemed determined to hold me to the contract and associated fees, constantly rebutting "we have a contract." He gave me options that were less than favorable in my situation and I ended up paying the fee. That said, Travis in management reached out VERY QUICKLY after the interaction (consistent with their ease of communication) to seek a better resolution and COMPLETELY turned my experience around! He listened to my frustration, was considerate of my situation, respected my time and helped to come up with a better solution. It seems they really do care. When I come back to the states, I'll be sure to look them up. Thank you Romex! read more

I have to admit I was a bit hesitant when I had a sales guy knocking on my door asking me to sign up for pest control. I immediately looked on Yelp to check out the reviews, and was surprised to see they had all 5 stars, so I thought I'll give them a shot. After two visits now, I can honestly say I am very impressed. Nic Perry was the tech for my area and he was extremely professional and just a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend selecting this company for pest control. They do outstanding work. read more

Service was not good and I even question if one service was performed. Guarded neighborhood but they state service performed but guard desk has no log of them entering on or near service date. Could have entered illegally I suppose. Ants not addressed and wasps not addressed in four services and one service I don't think they even did it. RECOMMEND ROMNEY PEST CONTROL for Castle Hills area. Romex has very poor quality pest control and poor customer service overall. read more

Terrible service. The salesman wants us to sign the agreement to subscribe to the service for a period of 18 months. He told us the wrong information that we could suspend the service any time we want if we are out of state, However, we are told that we cannot suspend the service when we call Romex to suspend the service. We have to pay 250 dollars to cancel the service before 18 months' completion. The most important thing is that we are not happy with the service. We should pay extra fees for the most frequent pests like mosquitoes and flies. For other general pests they provide, we actually do not need 18 months of regular service. read more

ROMEX was amazing! Recommended by most of our neighbors via our communities FB page over other competitors, mainly Hometeam. David was amazing, professional throughout, courteous to not disturb our 1 month old during nap time, and provided lots of education and tips on our current ant problem and any future expectances. Would love to any future engagements with David. read more

UPDATED REVIEW - After an initial negative experience, I can honestly say that Brett has done an amazing job with the service recovery on my account. I wasn't happy, and he recognized that and went above and beyond with his team to ensure that I would be happy with Romex's service level. Brett and team have been out to our house to help with rodent mitigation and to perform our regular service. He has taken the time to explain to me and my husband what is being done, in addition to making recommendations so we can remain pest-free. I appreciate the lengths he's gone to in order to ensure we're pleased with the service. I'm taking it from 1 star to 4 stars. read more

Prior to the contract expiring we had very little issues with Romex Pest Control. However, near the end of our service I requested the inside of the house to be sprayed. Only after several times of the appointments coming and going and no inside sprays performed. I again requested the service by leaving a voicemail on the after-hours service line. To no avail... So I called again and cancelled the contract, however the lady offered to do the interior on my final service to which I agreed. Unfortunately, this was also confusing and disorganized. I received an email stating it was an AM service. So by 12:30 PM the day of service we needed to go to work, I called to find out where the technician was. They stated that they could not get him to answer the phone! She said it was booked wrong and that it was on the schedule for an afternoon. My wife stayed home longer awaiting the service, until 4:15 PM. Just as I was calling to cancel the service the technician pulls up. The technician was nice and apologetic, but the lack of respect for the customers time was inappropriate. It is hard to completely bash a company for a single failure, but it really is frustrating. All companies should strive to be on time and to honor the contractual agreement with their customers. I was mad when writing this and really want to give them a one star review, but that would not be fair to all the other great service they provided. read more

I tried them out, only to have pests appear short of my service two times prior to cancelling service. I called to inform that I would be cancelling, they were going to charge more $ if I cancelled than if I let the last service happen. If it was handled in a respectful manner, then I wouldn't be writing this. But the arrogance over the phone, poor management of pest prevention at my home and entitled, glib attitude and illogical policies have led to me to warn others....THIS IS NOT the pest company you want to use.
