Absolutely terrible experience with GoAptive. When we signed up for service, we specifically explained that we live on a large property and were assured we would have the same service technician for each visit so we would not have to re-train someone every single time. That promise has never once been honored. Instead, they send a different technician almost every visit. Each new technician arrives unfamiliar with the property, and we have to walk them through everything all over again -- where to go, which bait traps need refilling, and where things are located. Apparently the photos they take are not sufficient because they still cannot find basic areas on the property. We have repeatedly requested the same technician as originally promised, and those requests have completely fallen on deaf ears. The final straw was our most recent visit. The technician sprayed so much pesticide on our kitchen floor that the entire floor was soaking wet. My mother slipped and fell because of it. Completely careless and unacceptable. After this incident, we called to cancel service due to both the repeated failure to honor their promises and the dangerous negligence of their technician. We were transferred to FOUR different people before finally speaking with someone named Kweegan, who was incredibly rude. He informed us that he would cancel all future appointments but that we would still be charged for every appointment even though they would no longer be coming. This company does not honor its word, does not communicate internally, and clearly does not value customer safety or customer service. I would strongly recommend avoiding GoAptive. read more

I never write reviews on social media, but this company needs to be investigated for deceptive trade practices and fraud. I signed up for their service in February and I was given a quarterly payment plan. They billed me monthly for the next 4 months at the quarterly rate we agreed upon. The amount paid in those four months should have been what I paid for the full year on the quarterly plan. I called their customer service line and was told that to be billed quarterly, I would have to pay approximately $50 more. I explained that I had already made four payments, so I should be good for the year. She stated that they had me on a monthly plan and there was nothing she could do about those payments. I regrettably agreed to the new quarterly amount. Two months later, I noticed that they billed me the increased "quarterly" rate in June and August. I contact customer service again. He agreed that I was on a quarterly payment schedule, but could not explain why I made "quarterly" payments in a two month period. I told him that I wanted to cancel my service because they are either crooks, or extremely incompetent. Of course he comes back with an offer of a discount on continued service, which I refused. Then he tells me that he can not cancel my service because I am not calling from the phone number on the account, so I would need to call back or send an email requesting cancellation. Long story short, if an Aptive sales rep knocks on your door, don't even give them an opportunity to make their sales pitch. They will make promises that they have no intention of keeping. The way the salesperson phrased it, "If you decide to cancel, we need $200 to cover our expenses." That makes it sound like you can cancel if you reach that threshold in payments. But regardless of how much you've remitted, it costs an additional $200 to terminate their service. You could purchase a year's worth of professional chemicals for less than $150 and apply it every couple of months instead of paying them hundreds of dollars. read more

Technicians are terrible. Customer service is even worse. Sales rep was very thorough and made detailed notes. We went over exactly what chemicals/products would be used and what areas of the house and yard would be treated. The tech shows up and just sprays everything in sight with pesticide, including my organic garden, fruit trees, and the entire lawn. They did not perform any of the other tasks that were scheduled. Their customer service is dehumanizing and insufferable. They will ignore your questions, gaslight you, and throw the service agreement in your face. In the past, I had a pest control with a Plano company for several years and never had any problem. I had Aptiv pest control from the beginning of March 2025 through the end of July 2025. I explained the problems I had (German Cockroaches). The technician explained the best way to combat German cockroaches was to treat every two weeks. I paid for the premium service. Technicians never came every two weeks. The next time a technician came was one month later (April). He sprayed the outside of the house. When I asked him to treat the inside of the house, he replied he didn't have time. I asked for some glue boards. He replied he didn't have any. He then left. The next time an Aptiv technician came inside my house was two months after the initial treatment. In July, I went downstairs in the morning. When I turned on the lights, I found a swarm of insects covering the range and kitchen counter. It was disgusting. It made my skin crawl. This was after two treatments inside the house by Aptiv technicians. My insect problem only got worse while I was under Aptiv's contract. I was under the impression they would control the insect problem. From that point forward , I decided to treat for insects myself. I have refused any more appointments from them. The service they provided was really worthless. I don't even want free visits from them. Aptiv charged me a $199 termination fee without my permission. I feel like I am the victim of extortion. About a year ago, during one of their quarterly visits, their employee told me that I needed to renew the contract and that they were going to start coming on a monthly basis (and charged more for doing so). I specifically told him that I did not need them to come more often than quarterly so he told me he was going to put that note in their system. I made the mistake of not checking my credit card statement for their charges, and realized 10 months later that they've been charging me every month ( a total of $500 extra for that period!!). I called them to tell them about the issue and initially they told me I was going to get $300 refunded, which was not everything but showed good faith. Waited for a couple of months and never received the refund, so called them again and they told me that they were not going to refund me anything, that I could talk to a lawyer if I wanted to and that i was going to lose. When I opened the door he extended his arm into my house to shake my hand (no thanks) and said I was being mean to him when I told him I wasn't interested. I was approached by an aggressive and deceitful door-to-door salesperson from Aptive Environmental on May 9th, 2022. I signed up for quarterly applications for their pest control services through an 18-month contract. They completed 5 applications within the first 7 months of contract initiation. In January 2023 once they attempted to schedule a 6th application within 9 months of contract start date, this is when I noticed that they were coming too frequently (less than 60 days apart, on average). I reached out to them on January 23 2023, asking why they were coming so frequently. They offered to postpone the 6th application by a few weeks. I then asked for a refund for the 4 applications where they broke the terms of the contract. They denied my request. The contract indicates 6-7 treatments within 18 months. This implies a quarterly frequency, not a bi-monthly frequency which is what they were following. The contract further states treatments are performed 60-100 days apart. On multiple instances the applications occurred UNDER 60 days apart. I missed out on a full season's worth of applications because they were on pace to complete all 7 applications well within 365 days. I'm giving Aptive a five for now. I've read so many mixed reviews online that I'm almost waiting for a problem. However, everything has been first rate. The initial assessment and service went well we saw an immediate decline in mosquitoes, which was my priority. After some rain and hot days, I called them back out because I had seen more mosquito activity, which I fully expected, and they did not hesitate to schedule a technician for the next day. So, I've been an Aptive customer for about 9 months, their pest service is good, however, if you're looking for dependable scheduling, don't. They send out automated notification about a week before, to let you know that your appointment is coming up on what ever day, then you get an automated notification the morning of, but the technician does not communicate with you until they're on their way, if you get that. My last visit in May, I got a notification from the tech that he was on his way, an hour later he still wasn't here. Not sure if he was coming from Ft Worth to Dallas, but still, that's only a 45 min-ish drive. Not an efficient system in my opinion. I've asked repeatedly for an early morning appointment and every time I end up being 11:30, 11:50, etc. you'll never have the same technician, which is ridiculous. So they never get to know you or your house and potential pest issues. Plus, there's a different person in your house every time so you don't get to know them and build trust with that person. When you call the phone number, there's a help line, but I'm not sure the information gets to management, or if it does, they don't seem to care. I would have posted this on their website, but there's not a feedback section to communicate with the company directly. So here we are, I'm doing a yelp review. I don't feel like I'm expecting much from a service providing company. We all have busy lives, I'm self employed, and I can't wait around all day for service and lose business. Time is money for someone who is self employed. And if you work a corporate job, have to punch a clock, or work in an office, you don't have the luxury of hanging out all day 6-7 times a year. Just my opinion, if things don't change with Aptive, I will be canceling my contract and finding another pest control service that's more dependable. read more
