So, I've been an Aptive customer for about 9 months, their pest service is good, however, if you're looking for dependable scheduling, don't. They send out automated notification about a week before, to let you know that your appointment is coming up on what ever day, then you get an automated notification the morning of, but the technician does not communicate with you until they're on their way, if you get that. My last visit in May, I got a notification from the tech that he was on his way, an hour later he still wasn't here. Not sure if he was coming from Ft Worth to Dallas, but still, that's only a 45 min-ish drive. Not an efficient system in my opinion. I've asked repeatedly for an early morning appointment and every time I end up being 11:30, 11:50, etc. you'll never have the same technician, which is ridiculous. So they never get to know you or your house and potential pest issues. Plus, there's a different person in your house every time so you don't get to know them and build trust with that person. When you call the phone number, there's a help line, but I'm not sure the information gets to management, or if it does, they don't seem to care. I would have posted this on their website, but there's not a feedback section to communicate with the company directly. So here we are, I'm doing a yelp review. I don't feel like I'm expecting much from a service providing company. We all have busy lives, I'm self employed, and I can't wait around all day for service and lose business. Time is money for someone who is self employed. And if you work a corporate job, have to punch a clock, or work in an office, you don't have the luxury of hanging out all day 6-7 times a year. I wanted to try a more environmentally friendly approach to pest control so tried these guys but after almost a year the best I can confidently say is, "I tried". First, the treatment just wasn't that effective. We brought them on after a big roach problem in the kitchen. They treated inside and out on first treatment and saw absolutely no change. I ended up addressing myself with roach baits I ordered online. You cannot cancel via the customer portal online -You cannot delete your payment information -Forced to call to cancel, and when you do they do not answer or return calls - One-way communication. To this day zero response. I received a random survey from Go Aptive, I explained my issues there as well. I also checked the box stating that Go Aptive can reach out to me about my survey responses. Zilch, Nada, Zero response. It's great they are trying to improve the bug business, but when they can email me 10 times a month to save $50 by referring a friend, and somehow not reply to any of my emails or phone calls that I leave them. It's obvious they won't own any issues and that they don't value customers who take the time to contact them. Don't risk your reputation over $50 bucks. The service is too inconsistent and then there is a lack of customer service issues. You get locked into 1 year service and from our experience, they say all the right things in the beginning but won't listen to feedback and ignore you when you take the time to call or email with questions or issues. I really don't give poor reviews but I had such a stressful experience with them. Of course, I wish I had read other reviews first but there's no time when the sales person is standing at the door and pushing you to sign. My sister had mentioned signing up for a pest control service that comes quarterly (not Aptive) and that she thought the service was worth it. So when Aptive came to our door and we also had a little wasp nest near our garage door, it seemed like a good time to jump on the service. Actually the sales person wasn't particularly pushy since I was interested in the service. What I didn't like was how he didn't didn't explain the contract or number of services very well (one initial service, one follow up, and then three more services - a total of 5 for the year). He also did not let me know we had 3 days to back out of the contract without cancellation. I found this out later when technician came out to do the initial service. In the meantime, I got online to read reviews and deeply regretted the decision to sign up with them! I was on hold with customer service several times and also received no return calls to my messages. I also tried emailing and messaging them on Facebook. They did eventually return my email cancellation to confirm the account had been cancelled. Lucky for me, the wasp nest is gone. So I basically paid $49 for them to get rid of it for us. I just want to move on from this whole experience now. He sent the invoice claiming he had completed the service. Because we didn't seen any actual activity outside our home, we checked the cameras and sure enough, he sat in his truck for three minutes and then left. Horrific Customer Service: After this fraudulent behavior, we called customer service, explained in detail what had happened. We were verbally offered a refund and cancelled the contract. Despite having no solo tick g signs on my property, two young, but pushy sales guys asked for my time. They made a good case against the pest control service I was using and we're price competitive. Initial service was good and the technician was prompt and efficient, and product seemed to work ok but it's all down hill from there. I was charged for the "complimentary" follow-up service that I did not request which goes against the payment scheduled I committed to. The technician was at my house less than 10 minutes and didn't remove the large hornets nest that was starting on my back patio. I reached out several times to my account manager who is supposed to address any questions or concerns and have yet to receive a response. They give you a reduced price on your initial spray (which you are liable for if you end early, I may take the hit). They scheduled a date, sent me an email and text notification that they would be there. They also said they would call me so I could be there. No call, no show. I called the next day waited for a long time on hold. They said the service guy had called in and couldn't make it. Okay, thats understandable, though I wish they would have notified me, made a new appointment had them make sure that I would get a call. The guy called and showed up. We must be good now I thought ... Wrong, next appointment got the text "be there b/w 8-5, got the email. No call. Called the phone number that evening. Waited on hold for 25 minutes. Auto message told me they'd call me back and hung up. No call. Called the next day, waited 20 minutes finally got someone. They told me the tech arrived but everything was locked and no one was home. My backyard doesn't have a lock, my front yard is completely open to the street. I received no notification that they were on-site. I made another appointment for a week later. We will see. Gave me some cheap crappy fly catcher blue light plug in. I noticed their spray killed 1 roach, and made some outdoor spiders actually come inside the windows. The second time the came, they only sprayed outside. I tried their service for 2 months, mainly for the spiders. I still have tons of spiders and spiderwebs. I wasn't pleased with my Aptive experience. First off, I only called hoping for service with one particular problem. Talking to the salesman I decided to have them come service everything else along with my problem. Fast forward to when the service tech shows up to spray. I was told on the phone that I could cancel services anytime, and while true, they didn't mention that there would be a $200 fee included to do that. The technician had to tell me that. Keep going, I start showing the tech around the house to make sure he knows what I'm expecting. I mentioned that the crawl space access was outside, and was immediately told that they don't go into crawl spaces. On the phone with the salesperson I specifically asked if they would spray the crawl space which is ultimately one of the reasons I went with the spray service, and they told me that they do everything from the front curb to the back fence, which includes crawl spaces. Continuing on showing them where the attic access is to fix the original problem I called for. He proceeded to tell me that they also don't go into attics for safety reasons, which makes sense except for the fact the salesperson asked me specifically if the attic was accessible when I asked about my problem. I said it was and at that point they said they could do it. With all that, the decision to decline the service was pretty obvious. Don't know if the products work since they didn't service, but the setup was terrible. Wish I could give 0 stars, but I'll say the one star is for the honest technician who said "it's my job to sell you on the products, but if you mostly called me out for this (my problem), I don't blame you for not wanting to proceed" and then proceeded to work with his team to cancel my contract/account. They confirmed their dude was only out 25 minutes first time and said the respray would be done between 8-12 the next day. 12:30 and the technician hasn't shown so we call corporate and are told the tech hadn't yet even started his route for the day. At this point we cancel service and ask for a refund for the half-a$$ initial spray. APTIVE REFUSES!!! I've had Aptive for over a year. My bill has stayed the same and I have a routine schedule quarterly. The good thing about Aptive is the friendliness of the staff and you can call for a respray if you need it for free. The respray is usually needed after it's rained and I start to see more spiders out on the house. The only thing I dislike is the automatic schedule sent. Almost every time I need to call and reschedule because it's so abrupt and not enough notice to be home from work to spray inside. They are very flexible in their schedule, but it's just a nuisance to call and change every time. A suggestion should be a reminder to schedule and not just schedule. The time frame the technician comes isn't a direct time and I have found myself waiting all day, but you do get a courtesy call to let them know they will be on their way. read more

They go ahead and do an Exterior service when it is convenience for their company, then it takes an act of congress to get them back on a SATURDAY as I have requested multiple times. When you do get someone in their office, then they try to make you feel like you are the 'bad guy' for demanding a Saturday Service. I am not sorry, I made it clear when I came aboard and they were begging me to sign an agreement that I need Services executed on Saturdays. Aptive's excuse, "That is tough, because everyone wants a Saturday Service". NOT MY PROBLEM. If Aptive could not execute as promised, then they should have been up front with me from the beginning. At this point, I don't have long to go on my agreement. My fault. A person came to my door and sold a great treatment plan. However a few minutes later he was gone and the technician went to work. Applied 2% of the diluted spray recommended by the manufacturer to the lawn and residence. Did not have any of the other items to be delivered. Said the vole bait has't been in stock and they might have some next month. That was my selling point plus the tick treatment for the lawn. Two gallons for 20,000ft2 plus the outside of part of the residence. That was it. No point in even trying when the manufacturer says 5 gallons of diluted solution for 1,000 ft2 of coverage. The list of undelivered items is long. They are not responding to email. The contract should be cancelled due to non-performance. I sure wish I had looked at the reviews first. This company has already come once, with extremely poor communication and scheduling. There are supposed to come again today and I've called and called and called and all they have is their music and nobody comes to the phone. This is after at least a half an hour of trying. Further, their technician who is scheduled today between eight and 12 is supposed to contact me and let me know when they will arrive. When they have promised to do so the previous time they were supposed to come, there was no communication. I just finished a two year contract with Aptive. The sugar ant issue is worse than before. That is, every time Aptive sprays, the ants swarm into the house. At best, the sugar ants swarm at these little feeding station for weeks at a time. Once Active left the gate open, fortunately I noticed it before my dog did. If they did rat service only, I'd consider that. The people are super friendly and responsive. However, if you send a message for the technician, you're talking to the wind. Communications don't go directly to the technicians, so if you've asked them to do something or not do something else. they don't get that message and just do whatever they were going to do. read more

You'd think that would mean something.
