Was out front of my house hosing some plants and a guy on a hoverboard cruised up and told me some neighbors had already signed up and I was going to get a treatment for 49.99. He said some neighbors names i never heard of but we needed some pest control so I made the mistake of giving him my wifes number. He called her and said 79.99 lol. Not saying the salesman was a bad guy but there were red flags everywhere with this interaction. No business cards, talked about wasp problem which there are alot of them and quickly mentioned quarterly service. Very cheesy. Wont even talk to them next time. Sales clown said a one time TRIAL of $49 that would cover a couple of visits to handle some things at a rental of mine.... Was fine until they showed up the THIRD time unannounced to my tenants AND myself. It gets worse, they charged my card TWICE for $119...are refusing to refund and NOW they keep sending me emails threatening collections. I had service done by Aptive for over a year. We had to call and ask to send the specialist because we had mice poops around the kitchen, so technician came in the morning at 8 am. I was home alone, rest of the family were on the trip. I had my jewelry taken off the night before and put on the dresser. In the beginning I was following him, but felt kinda uncomfortable. After a little while I found out that he was gone quietly without letting me know, closed garage doors behind. Unfortunately, the necklace given by my mother was gone. Called to company, explained the situation, they checked in his truck.... Of course, not found. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED AND ANGRY! I have been a customer of Aptive for 5 years. I had an issue during this past month from black ants in my kitchen, and small roaches had reappeared in the kitchen when I went abroad for 3 weeks. I scheduled an appointment for 24th August. A technician was supposed to call 30 minutes ahead. The time given was 8am-5pm. I waited all day, finally I called them t 4.50pm, as I had to go out and pick up my car. They rescheduled me for 25th Aug between 10am & noon. The technician anyway turned up and almost broke my glass door from banging at 5.30Pm on 24th! I told him I had to go, & that I was to have someone come the next day. Then on 25th Aug, I waited until 12.30pm and called again since nobody turned up. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO APPOINTMENT MADE, and that the notes from my previous call at 4.50pm was to confirm my previous appointment! The representative refused to get me the name of the person who made the appointment the previous day, refused to transfer to a supervisor, and hung up on me, and asked me to call back when I was ready! She was just trying to make another appointment the NEXT day without the guarantee that this NEW appointment will be honored. I am so frustrated with their service. I think it is time to look for another pest control company. read more

Beware. All Aptive sales people are interested in is getting you to sign a contract that basically says if for ANY reason you cancel the account you still have to pay. Their sales tactics are based off of telling what you want to hear to get you to sign said contract. They do minimal actual work, and only care about the bottom line of the contract. I say all of this after a real experience with their services and trying to get out of the agreement. Staff is nice enough, but their treatment is a fail. I'm over run with little ants invading my kitchen. I called and was told I'll be having a treatment 5 days from now. This is not acceptable. They make no provisions to address a problem outside of scheduled service date. Last time this happened, we handled it ourselves using product we bought from Lowe's and it did a much better job controlling pests. Our last Aptive treatment was 3 months ago and it failed. This company deserves a negative rating! No stars. This company should be avoided. They are dishonest. They lied about their services in multiple ways. False representations that they could treat for Japanese beetles. False representations that their chemicals were safe for bees but when they came to spray told us something different. They lied when we complained. The customer service rep told us that they would waive all charges because they "do not do business that way" and proceeded to "apologize." The customer service rep said that she would follow up with a confirmining email that our contract was discontinued and all charges waived. She instead sent our account to collections. I called Aptive and explained I was not happy to pay $125/quarter for pest control service and would like to cancel. They were preparing to cancel me, but then asked what I would consder paying as they had a $75/quarter rate they could put me on. I agreed and asked for the $75 rate. The next 3 quarters they continued to charge me $125. I called in, 3x's! Everytime they explained they were processing a refund and I would see it in 5 business days. Finally sent an email and they told me they deemed the amount correct and no refund was processed. Thanks for calling and letting me know, considering every time I called the refund was being processed!? They're loyalty group wasn't worth much to support trying to keep me a customer. Going out to find another local small business to manage my pest control needs. Customer service at Aptive just isn't what it was when I first signed in mid-2019. Companies that do not respect the public will not respect their clients either. I have a No Soliciting sign. Two days they ignored it, and also ignored my neighbor's sign and said they didn't see it. They are obvious and that was a total lie. I go out of my way to NOT purchase from companies that ignore my sign. Quit disturbing the public that specifically have signs that ask you not to disturb them. This is the same as robocalling people. Why would people think ignoring our signs to not disturb us will lead to someone buying their service? The sign is there for a reason. People have jobs, they could be elderly and have great difficulty getting to the door when they think someone knocking is important, small children that might be sleeping, dogs that get upset at the knocking, people that have night jobs and need to sleep during the day... It is disrespectful. Why would anyone buy a service from someone that has already been disrespectful? I find it surprising that I even have to explain this to someone. If you do not have a no solicitors or do not disturb sign then absolutely I agree they can knock and I have no issues with door to door salespeople in that respect. To be fair, I have not received service from this company, but after the experience in our neighborhood I will never choose to do business with them. Aptive had salespeople going around in 75080 on 6/19/18, and many in the area complained of aggressive tactics, loud knocking, and insulting comments when they stated they weren't interested. The man came to my house THREE times in one day (the final time waking up my husband who works overnights), with loud banging on the door and multiple door bell rings. I don't answer to solicitors but apparently he wasn't taking the hint. I understand door-to-door sales are a fact of life and these people are trying to do a job, but I shouldn't be harassed in my own home. The company rep came to my door, saying my next-neighbor (used her name), along with most of my neighbors were using his service. I signed up - the next day I looked at reviews and promptly cancelled. Left a notice on my porch that I had cancelled the contract on the day I was to get service. The guy RIPPED the sign down and proceeded to ring my doorbell and knock for about ten minutes. He returned several times that same day and knocked and rang. Also called SEVEN times. Left one message wanting to know why I had cancelled. Today - a month later - another rep came to my door at 7:50 PM! When I saw his shirt, I told him to go away. Do not sign up with this company!!! The salespeople are super charming and will say anything to get the sale. The young man who came to our house would NOT take no for answer. He went on and on about how he had just signed up a bunch of our neighbors, which wasn't true, to address the spider issue "everyone was having". I stupidly fell for it and signed up, because he noticed we had kids and mentioned black widows in the yard they were playing in. He made all sorts of promises about an inspection and how we would have our first service within a few weeks and the next service within 30 days. The inspection happened and 2 months went by before they showed up again- and that was only because we called to ask what was up. Our next service never happened because the guy that showed up was too frightened by our "unsecured dog" to enter the backyard. FYI, our 13 year old dog weighs less than 4 pounds and was INSIDE the house at the time. So scary . Of course they denied that he didn't do the service but we have video on our Ring camera of him never getting out of the truck and then leaving within 5 minutes. Shocker, they still charged us for the service. When we tried to cancel after this, they threatened to sue us for the full amount of the contract and ended up sending us to collections for the full amount of the initial service since they gave us "such a great deal" on the first inspection and service, which took all of 20 minutes. We talked to our neighbors, none of whom had signed up like they claimed, but after a quick facebook and yelp review showed me that many others had the exact same experience we did. I like the fact they guarantee the whole house (inside & out) as well as the whole yard front to back. Lies from day one. It all began with a very nice Aptive Sales Person. He was so nice and respectful he had me sold even though I did not need the service. I asked a million times if there was a fee for cancelling g service or else I wouldn't have signed up. Specific words were "no cancellation fee; however, I do ask that you keep the services until the end of the year December". Now that I think about it may be if I cancelled before he would have lost the sale. When I call to cancel, guess what? I was fooled. There is a cancellation fee. I was really naive and did not read the stupid contract and that is my fault and take full responsibility. This person was sooo engaging and nice honestly did not believe he was lying and truly believed for this company to be honest. When I call to cancel February, I was told I had to wait to April and I still needed to make my payments. I was given a courtesy interior pest control (mind you I was told that anytime I had interior issues to contact and it was included). Schedule for March 2nd, 2020 anytime from 8am to 12pm. Had to call back to re schedule because it was close to 12pm and no one showed up. Alex rescheduled for March 9th from 8-12 again and gave me a $20 coupon for April's payment (last payment). Comes March 9th and no one showed up. So here I am taking off of work again to waste my time once more. The worse part I received not one call, not one email, nothing to say that the service was cancelled. April 7th comes and someone From Aptive shows up saying that I confirmed for the service outside and I was like no, I have not confirmed to anything in fact I want this to be cancelled. I called Aptive again to tell them I did not confirmed for this service yet they just showed up. I need service cancelled and since there has been so much miscommunication if the payment for April can be waived since my husband is not working due to covid. Manager bluntly said no, said that the guy here would not be able to even say that completed the service due to my account being cancelled. I guess someone miss communicated not to my surprise. I told him I'm only asking for my payment to be waived if $70. I have been lied too many times and wish for my services to be cancelled immediately. He said he couldn't, he said people make mistakes for the two appts that were missed in March and I was like yeah you are right but as a manager if you mess up you are to at least keep your client satisfied if you did not meet the services promised. The conversation went no where and got no help what so ever. This company lies lies lies, communication is the worse, and will not help you even if that means you have no food to put on your table. There is no empathy or understanding of what true customer service should be. This is my first time complaining and is only because it's so upsetting that companies will not even have the heart to help their customers even in times in need specially when they have messed up and no even an apology. read more

Everything was fine until recently I called to ask for extra service because we're seeing a lot of spiders in the house. they scheduled my appointment and then i never heard from them again. when i try to call the local number it routes me to some national call center and after trying 3 different times i never got a chance to speak with someone live. I was never a customer. They appear to offer drive-by service, as they are not local and can only treat your home when they are passing through your area. It might work for you, but it won't work for me. I like somebody local. My guy was from Utah, very polite, clean cut. I would trust him. He clearly drives a circuit, though. If you are unsatisfied with a treatment, I suspect they will only return when they have a work cycle occurring in your area. My guy was friendly, no pressure. He did say they are treating homes in the area. Even if that is not true, so what? That's standard sales shtick. He had a permit (and I assume it's real). Aptiva came to our neighborhood and solicited. We live in a non-solicitation neighborhood. The 2 guys were asked at least 10 times to leave, they didn't. The cops came out 3 times and ask them to leave. They didn't. Hopefully on the 3rd police visit they were fined. One guy was aggressive and was a jerk to homeowners and to the police officer. We signed up for quarterly services however had to use the free intermittent services multiple times. Just not what I expected to have to do compared to Terminx. The most recent service I requested I had to provide a 3 day window and time for them to come. No one showed up and no one communicated the status.
