Weird customer service experience. Six months after I began termite service I called to cancel service based on my salesperson's recommendation. He said six months would be more than adequate to protect my home from termites. I got shuffled around and eventually I was told by two different CS reps that I could not cancel because I was locked into a two year contract. The sales person hadn't said anything about that. Then about two months later, I called again and was able to cancel termite treatment no questions asked. I still have Aptiv for my quarterly Pest Control service because I actually really like their product and all of the people who have treated my home have been very professional and pleasant. I guess the lesson is keep calling CS back until you get somebody who will actually help. read more

This is the worst customer service I have never seen. The first rep was only able to do half the job and the next three appointments they never showed up. Their customer service reps all say different stories, are combative, refuse to escalate, and everything takes 24 hours to be emailed which means the email never arrives. they continually give you the run around and are over all horrible to deal with. read more

I had an extremely disappointing experience regarding repeated failures in communication, poor customer service, and a complete lack of accountability. Regret leaving my previous pest control company of 3 years to save money! The company failed to provide scheduled pest control services on multiple occasions without any meaningful correspondence, notification, or follow-up. As a paying customer, I expected basic communication regarding missed or rescheduled appointments, but instead I was left having to repeatedly reach out myself just to determine why services were not completed as agreed. What made the experience significantly worse was the way customer service handled the situation. Rather than acknowledging the inconvenience and complying to my needs, the representative was dismissive, rude, and unwilling to take responsibility for the company's failure to provide services. When I politely asked for the representative's name, the call was abruptly ended, which I found highly unprofessional and unacceptable. I also requested to speak to her supervisor in hopes of finding resolution, especially considering the company had not fulfilled its obligations. Instead of attempting to rectify the situation, I was told that speaking to a supervisor would not matter because "they will tell you the same thing." I was further informed that my only option was to either continue service despite the unresolved issues or cancel and pay the $199 early termination fee. The representative repeatedly stated that once cancellation is processed, the fee cannot be adjusted or removed. At no point in my second attempt to follow up did the company appear interested in customer satisfaction or accountability. The entire experience reflected poor internal communication, inadequate customer support, and policies that seem designed to avoid resolving legitimate customer concerns. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others to consider whether the level of customer service and accountability provided by this company meets their expectations. Lies nothing but lies. When they came to my front door. They agreed to do the service after 4 pm so I could be home, never happened 1pm or earlier in the day everytime. Was told the whole property would be covered, never happened only the area near the house. Three different employes came out ,three half ass services. I called and canceled my service ask them to send final billing in the mail August 21 2026 September 10 2026 get a bill from collection agency. This company is a joke. 1 star for the service reps ONLY Never show up on time. My appointment was from 8-12pm. They came after 4pm. I was told I could pay when I chose to as long as it was by the end of the month. Not SO. The auto pay my card each month. Then they send emails and texts saying we haven't received your payment. I've called them before to say hey, why am I getting the notices? You already took the money from my account. The service guys are nice but work for a company that doesn't know what it is doing I wish I could eliminate this contract. We canceled our Aptive pest service and moved out of our home 3 years ago, yet we are still being charged--and are now receiving texts from a debt collector. This has been an incredibly frustrating and drawn-out experience. From what I've since learned, we're not alone. There are hundreds of complaints about billing issues, contracts not being clearly explained, and difficulty canceling service. We have used Aptive for a while. The quality of their product is average. Their customer service and scheduling is the absolute worst. There is one day a week we can have service. All of a sudden they are constantly scheduling our service while we are at work. We have talked to customer service 6 times and my husband has spoke to a manager. They don't listen to their customers. We keep telling them we want to cancel service with them since they can't schedule correctly. They still schedule us and we have to cancel every time. Beware because what they do is purposely schedule when you are not home and claim they serviced the outside. Do not sign a contract with them bc you will never get service on the day you have available. You will only get good customer service the day you sign the contract. After they are awful, don't care and you won't hear from them. They claim they make notes but obviously they don't. read more

Signed a contract for once a month spray service in August of 2025. They did not perform the service in November or December 2025. I called and complained and received service in January 2026. They did not provide service in February or March of 2026. I called today and was transferred to 3 different people in an attempt to cancel the service. Each person said they did not have the authority to cancel without charging $199 penalty. I have paid $320 for the 4 months without service and they still want me to pay $199 to cancel. We're selling our home in Mesa and moving to S. Chandler. I was informed that there is a $200 cancellation fee no matter how long you've been with them! Such a horrible experience with them. Was having issues with fleas and was told they would come back until the problem was solved. The first person who came only sprayed a repellent so none of them died, and the second guy said it would take two weeks to actually see an effect. Then immediately after the second guy came i was contacted by the office saying it was "illegal" that they came because they I never purchased a plan with them (because I'm moving in a few months and don't need a reoccurring service). We found aptive when a salesperson came to our door, normally we don't give these salespeople much time but we weren't pleased with our pest control at the time so we switched to Aptive. I don't know where Aptive finds their employees but every single one I've met has been 100% professional, friendly, caring, reliable, and hard working. If I have any pest problems (which I have) they sort it out and it's not an issue. Great service. Jacks has been my technician for about 3 months now. He is very helpful and knowledge about his craft. We've been having issues with German roaches and when we reach out to get them back for services before our monthly treatment they schedule immediately and get the issue resolved. This company was very aggressive in soliciting our business, offering to begin service immediately and referencing many neighbors who also used their company. They had a 2 year contract that required us to pay in full even if we terminated early, but we were unhappy with the difficulty in scheduling when we had scorpions or ants between regularly scheduled appointments so we called, emailed, and wrote a letter to terminate service before the contract was over. We understood they would still bill us but did not want them back on our property. They still sent a tech for another service after all of those communications from us to cancel. Aptive Environmental lied and charging us Fees, and now a Debt Collector is involved. On our move in day, a Pest Control Company showed up. They sprayed the property on the premise that it is complimentary. They had us sign and my understanding was that it was a confirmation that they did a treatment. They showed up again recently and started spraying the front yard and went to the backyard without our permission. I talked to the guy and he said we have a contract with them and that we will have to call their office otherwise they will keep showing up. He said that we have a card on file with them. NOT TRUE. We never gave them our card nor did we sign up for a paid service. We expressed to them that we don't want the service. Was told that there is a 199 cancellation fee because we have a 'contract' with them. We were not aware of signing any terms or contracts and didn't want the service. We then called and was able to talk to the supervisor. He said that he will be closing the account and that the cancellation fee will be waived. The understanding is that the matter is closed. Now we got a mail from a debt collector by Aptiv Environmental. The pest control that came to our door lied to us saying we have a contract and the supervisor lied to us about closing the account and not informing us about fees and sending it to a debt collector. read more

BEWARE, their salesman will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to sign up for their services, even if it means lying to your face. I was told by the salesman that they would be cancelling my pest control services for me and I'll be getting an email from the current company I use to confirm my cancellation. That didn't really sound like something they can do so I asked a couple times to verify I heard him correctly. Now, this isn't something I couldn't do myself but since he told me that MULTIPLE times, I didn't worry about it. Surprise surprise, that never happened and I got billed by my other pest control company after they showed up to spray. I called Aptive and they said they do not cancel accounts for you and have no authority to do so. So I was lied to right to my face. I would've had no problem cancelling myself but don't lie to people just to get a sale. I'm not surprised that this happened and it's not the end of the world. I cancelled my account with Aptive and would not recommend anyone use their services. I will be making sure my friends, family, and neighbors know what kind of people they have working for them. We were misled by the salesperson on the price for service by a huge difference. The salesperson led us to believe we would be paying an amount that would cover a total of six treatments but we are being charged that amount per each of the six treatments, and if we cancel service we have to pay $199, When we called customer service we were not able to resolve this and we we were not transferred to a manager to see what can be done. Been with Aptive service for few years and typically didn't have any major issue with the treatments or the customer support. However, in the last year or so the level of customer support drastically declined. 1st the service intervals changed from every 90days to every 50-60days without any notice but the pay per treatment remained the same. When i noticed that, called and was told that they can do every 90days, but that would require manual adjustment every time. When noticed pest issue after less than two month since the last full service, went online to schedule a re-service. Once service completed i was charged as for a full service. When trying to communicate with the customer service department via emails was getting response each time from a different rep which didn't seem like he read the previous response. My concerns were never addressed nor listed to. So after 13 emails back and forth i just asked to discontinue my service. This has been a beyond ridiculous and frastraiting experience. With such customer support approach would suggest everybody to stay away from Aptive. read more

Signed up for service quarterly for 100 per service so 100 every 3 months the first year was perfect great techs and everything was fine. So we re signed. They started coming every month and charged me every month 100 when I questioned them about it Crickets nobody would respond. When I finally got them on the phone they said I signed up for monthly service which I didn't I resigned for exactly the same service I had the year before They refuted and said the contract was what they said and if I wanted out I'd have to pay an additional 200 to fulfill the contract they got me for 800 dollars on what I thought was 400 for the year (quarterly service) cause that's what my local pest control charged me quarterly. Aptive sent a so called salesman to my house at 7:00 pm in the dark and he appeared in my driveway asking me at my doorway if I was interested in buying a mosquitoes control plan. I told him I have a bug sapper and didn't want his services. He scared my wife and I and told him it was not safe for him or us to be going door to door. He then he asked what tv show we were watching. You can not reach the local office because the Tucson az telephone number gets forwarded to Utah. The first time they came, they made a big show and made promises. After, they told me they'd service my house, but they just sent me emails saying they serviced, but I didn't see them. What I have seen are all the bugs and the glue traps the previous exterminator set up over a year ago. I contacted them recently to complain about this and they made absolutely no concession nor effort to rid me of the scorpions that were the only reason I hired them. He asked personal questions, like who we use for pest control and how much we pay for them. Unacceptable. This company has a bad reputation and now I know why. They have been canvassing our neighborhood. One neighbor thought his name was Patrick. He is lying about who he is helping, pretending to use a neighbors name. I had him at my door too yesterday, he was pretty pushy but then he'd be a terrible salesperson if he would take the first no for an answer. Omg he was at my door yesterday and wouldn't leave! I was getting so annoyed. I have called main company and they just hide behind pest control is on the essential service list. Well now they are on do not do business with list and I will be on mission to spread that word. The same exact thing happened to me! He said my next door neighbor Jeremy just signed up. There's nobody next door to me named Jeremy I opened the front door to get a package that was delivered and he was there. He told me he was working with my neighbor and I said....well, that's not my neighbors name and shut the door. He then proceeded to knock two more times and I watched him walk away (towards the neighbors house that he supposedly was working with) on my doorbell camera. This is funny, he definitely needs to find a new tactic! I called the Company, left a message and have not heard back. This guy was around our neighborhood +/- 6 months ago. He caused the same reaction back then as he is doing right now. Very unprofessional and downright rude!
