I started using this company as soon as I moved into my new home in December 2015. Very happy with the service and the professionalism. Highly recommend . Very efficient return calls and courtesy, and follow-up, plus flexibility in scheduling. I also really liked the service tech, he was professional, friendly, efficient, explained everything to me, and answered all my questions. I also appreciated the reminders you sent me before the tech came onsite, so I didn't forget! This company provides exceptional service in an industry that might have some sharp edges otherwise. I used Home Defense Service for about 9 months but found them about $30 over monthly competing services. I cancelled the service back in April and requested by credit card to be deleted in their files. I was assured that it would be done and that a sales person would contact me. That never occurred. Today I received service reminder and called the office. Apparently my April call was ignored. I called again today and spoke with Tessa and it was almost an exact repeat of my April call. In order to cancel you may need to cancel your credit card. I don not expect the sales person to call me. In my case, in my opinion, they are not a reputable firm regarding cancellation. I was Ok with the service. Your experience may be different. Buyer beware. read more

Would not recommend this company! They treated my home for termites prior to it being built and my home builder purchased a 2 or 3 year termite warranty from them. Well, I moved in not even a year ago and just found termites for the second time. When I reached out to HomeTeam Pest Defense to get them out here to treat them again, they essentially told me they can't help because I don't have pest control with them. They wanted me to send pictures of the termites so I did, they then told me that they were earwigs and not termites. Gave them the benefit of the doubt for the larva because they are so dang small, but then they told me that the tunnel was also earwig activity. If you want a company that honors contracts and knows the difference between termites and earwigs I would NOT recommend HomeTeam Pest Defense. read more

So I paid $700 for termite prevention, when they did the work they broke the my irrigation pipes. They damaged my property and they told me they wont fix it or get it fixed. They told me to pay to have it fixed and that then I could file a claim. I don't have the money to get it fixed, that is not an option, meanwhile it's hot outside I can't water my plants in my yard. When I talked to the service manager and told him this he said "do you have a hose"? I don't have a hose, I have a broken irrigation system that they broke. The service manager also said it wouldn't be that expensive, how would he know what is expensive to me? They dug up my yard, and they didn't even call the city to have the lines marked. It is bad that they broke my irrigation pipes, but the way they have handled it is beyond bad. Be careful with this company. read more

We moved into a new construction home in May, and because of all the construction going on, we had A LOT of bugs. Home Team comes out every other month and it has made such a difference! I didn't see an improvement right away, so I called to ask them to come back out before their next scheduled visit. They came the next day, and sprayed again at no additional cost because I wasn't satisfied. Now that we've been in our house for 6 months, we hardly ever see a bug in the house. I also love that our house was built with tubes inside the walls that they can spray into from a port on the outside of the house, so they don't have to come into the house, and I don't have to worry about my dogs being exposed to the pesticide. Also, we always have the same person (Brandt) that sprays and he is so through and friendly. I highly recommend Home Team Pest Defense. read more

After living for 50+ years in the Valley, we moved to Eloy, and our home was built with the in-wall service provided by HomeTeam. We've contracted with them for the 4 years we've been in this new house. The technicians they send out are professional, efficient and personable. We've had very few bugs in the house in all that time. They are very careful to ensure my dog is safe, and the bird-feeders I have are not impacted by the service. We've been with home team for 18 years, called to find out why they hadn't been out and the girl said our account was cancelled. Talked to a manager and was told because they weren't able to contact us in December that our account was cancelled. Many companies have offered us service over the past 18 years but we never changed so for me this is a very strange way to do business. The manager said we could re-sign up with the sales dept but the quarterly service we had was not offered anymore and since the account was cancelled we could only get the bi-monthly service... so there you have it, probably never called or emailed because we checked our past emails, they just wanted a chance to get out of a grandfathered in contract. We would never use them again, too many other pest services out there. read more

We've been using Home Team since we built our home almost 13 years ago. I had to end my service due to the many inconsistencies with their service and only to find out that I was being charged more than new customers. They don't seem to care about customer loyalty so it's time to find a new exterminating company. read more

Any other day I would have gave HomeTeam 5 Stars, lord knows in the 5+ years I've referred 100s of customers to them. But for their customer service rep to tell me, that I am an as needed customer, therefore my service was not warranted, because I regularly called them to service my home at my convenience was a joke. You still got paid your $100+ whether you came on my time or yours. I just had them out in August and the rain washed away all the chemicals; and the bugs are rampid; they want to charge me 100+ to come out and re apply. Anyone reading this might want to rethink your decision. read more

Had them out twice, and the second time I had to call the office to get anyone to come out. The two techs I have had have been completely unreliable. They made sure to follow up with me to get my business when I first bought my new build, but certainly don't seem to care about staying on top of the service schedule. I bought a new home from Taylor Morrison and HomeTeam pest defense was the company chosen to do the pretreatment for termites before the slab was poured. Since moving in we had extensive work done around the home I.e walkway ,pool and some landscaping. After completing HomeTeam recommended we treat all areas that were disturbed which was pretty much the whole house. They graciously came out and redid the areas for us. The technician that was sent out (Paul) was someone who loves their job and I could tell by speaking to him that he cared about the service he was giving. He did an outstanding job and didn't just treat the areas, he explained the Benefits and type of chemicals he would be using. He was well dressed clean cut and very professional. A Great company with Great service. We have been using them for over 3 years and they have responded and resolved several bug issues. Last Saturday I moved one of my daughters toy boxes and found a scorpion underneath. Thankful it was already dead. I was shocked to see it in the house but very glad that the pest control was doing it's job in terminating the threat. Whatever they're doing it's working! I called the company on 1/28/20 to inform them not to perform the scheduled service on 1/29/20. I would not be home so they would not be able to spray my backyard or inside my home. I told the representative I would call to reschedule. The customer service rep said she had noted it. However upon returning g home from work on 1/31/20 I had a bill in my door for 78$ when I did not reschedule the service. I work 2 jobs so I need to schedule it when I can be home. So this is the 2nd time someone from home pest has come out unscheduled by me, billed me and not done a complete job. The last time it was raining and I tried to reschedule, however the representative on the phone assured me they could spray outside even though it was wet... when the technician arrived he informed me what I already knew, he could not spray outside because of the rain! I've been using home team for a while since my old and new home has in wall pest tubes. Right there the problem starts it's like you own the home but they have the keys for the in wall tubes lock so you cannot allow other companies to do it. They increased the price slowly to triple digits for more than a year now. That too for every 8 weeks that's the next issue they gave power to schedule to the local techs so you don't have to call them. Tech will schedule in 6 weeks instead of 8 and will give very little notice. If you do the math tech will be visiting at least 8-9 times instead of 6 times a year which is $200-300 more on top of what you pay higher than any other company. Here is why I've decided enough is enough last couple of visits tech did not spray entire exterior and claimed he did. I have cameras all over my home and all I see is he visited only one side of the home. I may have missed seeing him but cameras won't lie. If you want to save money and do better there are plenty of companies go with them and save money Update : Sure I will call your office tomorrow to give my account information , techs name and everything Update 2: I called and provided the information and mentioned this is why Im cancelling my service Eric their service manager seems to least bothered about cancellation did not say they will look in to it or will talk to tech or anything. At one point I was going to cancel my services. I called in to cancel because I was going to switch over to another company. The lady on the phone wasn't pushy at all but she genially asked me why I was cancelling. I was blunt and told her everything. She then educated me on my concerns and answered all my questions. Of course the other company was a door salesman and knew how to attack other companies. I was able to schedule another service and had extra treatment done to my home. These guys are WONDERFUL. We are not used to the amount of bugs in this area as we are new to town, and they have helped us address all of our needs. They come out in-between services if necessary to help make sure our house stays pest free. On top of this, we started having problems with ants in our kitchen and nothing would get rid of them. Michael was so wonderful and made time in his schedule to treat for ants as many times as we needed until we finally got them taken care of. I love that they use a less harsh bug killer and it still takes care of any problem. The receptionist is always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and she always makes sure that Michael knows exactly what he's treating for before he arrives. I would suggest this place to everyone and specifically Michael is absolutely wonderful! read more

I had an appointment for them to come out on a Monday between 3-5pm. After waiting around all afternoon 5:30pm rolled around and they had neither shown up nor contacted me. It took me twenty minutes to get a hold of someone to find out that one of their technicians called in sick and that they couldn't get to my house--thanks for the phone call! I (like an idiot) rescheduled for the same week on a Wednesday between 3-5pm and THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I finally got ahold of them at 4:45pm and asked where the technician was and they said he'd be there around 5:30! Terrible customer service, I wasted two afternoons this week sitting around waiting for someone who would never show up. Do not hire these guys. read more

My new build home was installed with this company's equipment. Since I have moved in, they constantly solicit their services to me. They come to my door and call me. At first I accepted their pamphlets so when I'm ready to call them I will, but they keep calling me once a week. After nicely telling them for the past 4 month I am not interested, I just got a call and very nicely and respectfully asked the guy to please not call, I will call when I'm interested. He hung up on me. This is extremely unprofessional and that move right there just turned me off to this company. It doesn't matter if their equipment is installed in my home, I will not use them. We have been with them for almost two years now, and they are a wonderful company. No hassle, not intrusive, always on time, convenient payment plans, and super responsive to the customer's needs. Different pests become a problem for us at different times...all you have to do is call them and they make sure to address that particular problem in addition to the regular spraying. We also have them spray for weeds in our yard...I don't know what they use but it stops weeds cold! We hate, hate, hate to weed, so this has been a wonderful additional service for us, especially since we have xenoscaped and don't need any kind of regular yard service for trimming, etc. read more

I am so thankful for HomeTeam! We moved to Arizona 4 years ago and started with them from the beginning. I have never seen (or heard!) so much as a cricket in our yard, in our house, or in either of our garages. We have been bug-free all that time. Two nights ago we found a scorpion in our shower on the second floor. Home team pest defense has the worst customer service. We had used them initially then switched to a different company because of it. We recently switched back and the first visit went ok, the second never happened but I'm still getting billed for. In our account it says call before you come. That didn't happen. We didn't receive a bill in the door, my husband got an email that went to junk and we didn't see. We had no idea they came until I received a mailed bill months later. They claim they came and sprayed when I know they couldn't have. We have large dogs who wouldn't have been friendly to a back yard visitor. Marian says she can't not bill for this past time because it's past there respirator period but they can take 15 off the next service! Why would I pay for a service I never received. They're unwilling to help and I won't be paying them or continuing with them for future services. Users beware they're liars and unhelpful. Do not use this company! I am EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with the service. On April 29, 2019, Home Team technician started the service but stopped and had to reschedule. I have re-scheduled with Home Team 4 times in May and today Saturday 5/2519 the technician that was to arrive between 8 and 12 noon called and CANCELLED AGAIN. Every time the technician was scheduled to come out the called about 30 minutes prior to scheduled time. This is a terrible way to run a business along with POOR CUSTOMER Service. Home Team was recommended by the home builder - Lennar - and they will be informed about the lack of service from Home Tam Pest Control. I will make sure Lennar and other home builders in the area are aware of the poor service. Several neighbors in our new home subdivision are also experiencing the same poor service and numerous re-scheduling and seeking another company for service. I keep having scheduling problems with this company. They will call and give me a day they will be out. I will keep my gate unlocked and no one ever shows up. Then, the guy will come on another day when my gate is locked and only spray the front yard. But, of course, he leaves me a bill for the full amount. They have been willing to send someone back out on another day to complete the backyard. I am just get frustrated by all the back and forth and poor follow through with the providers. read more

I've been a satisfied customer since I started with HomeTeam in Jan 2007. Their staff is friendly, scheduling is convenient especially since I have the Taexx tube system. I can count on one hand how many bugs I've found in the house over the years. Recently our neighborhood has seen an increase in scorpions due to near by housing construction. I am happy to say that we have been scorpion FREE! The past two nights my next door neighbors have been scorpion hunting, they found 9 scorpions (total of 18) in their yard.. we had ZERO! They use another pest control service but have a feeling they will be signing up with HomeTeam soon. read more
