I talked with a very nice young man who said we could "try" them to see if they would do better with our mosquitoes but if we dropped service after the first treatment we would have to pay back the discount we were given. They did two treatments and the mosquitoes are worse than they have ever been. Just got off the phone and they are charging me for a $199 cancellation fee saying that I was in a 24 month contract, whereas the person we signed up with said specifically, over and over that they don't do contracts and could cancel at any time. BEWARE! Very talented and engaging salesman, but he doesn't do the service. The first service was excellent. He removed spider webs from the outside of my home, put 2 mosquito canisters out, took care of the snail/slug problem, sprayed the perimeters of my home and yard--I was impressed! Never saw that guy again. Next appointment, they cancelled. The following appointment the serviceman was in and out in less than 10 minutes and sprayed the bug juice all across the top of my picture windows--all 3 of them! Those windows are big. I have to have them professionally cleaned. I posted a complaint and was supposed to receive a return call. Never happened. I had the windows cleaned. I wasn't home for the following visit, but when I returned my windows had been sprayed again. Service man claimed that just happens when he sprays the eaves. "Why are you spraying my eaves? Spider webs up there, yes, but you've got a tool for those." Next there was a series of three no-shows in a row, but they continue to charge my card monthly. EDIT: I received a very satisfactory end to this debacle. The Aptive customer care team saw and understood how frustrating the situation was and graciously rectified it. So I'm adjusting my review accordingly due to the kind customer service. I used Aptive's service twice and then cancelled. Despite being assured their product was bee-safe, I found dead bees in my yard. Even more frustrating, the issue I actually had--fungus gnats in my lawn--was never resolved. I still owed $199 for cancelling early on a year long service, which I was fine with paying. However, my credit card was compromised and changed around at the same time, so they couldn't charge me. I would have been happy to fix that, but instead of contacting me (no emails, voicemails, or texts), Aptive sent my account straight to collections. When I spoke with a rep, I was told their emails "bounced back"--yet the debt collector reached me immediately by the same email. I updated my card and paid immediately, but this entire experience was stressful, poorly handled, and reflects very badly on Aptive's service and communication. read more

Still loving APTIVE!! Consistent and on-time. Great communication and all our tech's have been awesome...their products have been working great and I rarely see any residual pests going forward. I receive photos of all areas treated, with notes reflecting what work was performed, very transparent. I have outdoor cameras surrounding my property and upon reviewing my videos, all work is done as stated. I'm still really pleased with APTIVE and felt I needed to update my review to let you all know that in the Temecula area, they're a dependable and trustworthy pest control company. I do have rescue dogs on my property and none of my dogs have been harmed or gotten sick from their pest solutions that they're spraying. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Aptive. The technicians sprayed the wrong house and even sent me photos from someone else's property as proof of service. When I noticed the mistake, I contacted them right away. The representative I spoke with admitted the error and told me someone would come back on Saturday to complete the service at my correct address -- but no one ever showed up or followed through. When I later called to cancel my membership because of their mistake, I spoke with a manager who was rude and dismissive. Despite the fact that this issue was entirely due to their error, he insisted I would still have to pay a $199 cancellation fee. Not only did they fail to complete the service I paid for, but it also seems they never even notified the homeowner whose property was treated by mistake. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. This company is completely scam and no honor. A pest control technician came to my house for a regular service around 8:00 a.m. in May. During the visit, he asked if I would like to add additional treatment for mosquitoes and asked me to sign something. I trusted him and signed it. However, when I called the company on June 24, 2026, to cancel my service, I was told that I had supposedly signed a new one-year contract. I was never clearly informed that I was agreeing to renew my contract for another year, and I would never have agreed to that if it had been properly explained to me. When I requested cancellation on June 24, I was told that July 1 would be my final service and that my account would then be canceled without any penalty. However, they did not honor what they told me. My service is still active, and now I am being told that I still need to receive another service this month and that they will not cancel my account until next month. This company keeps changing its story and delaying my cancellation. I feel completely misled and deceived. I signed based on what the technician told me about adding mosquito treatment, not because I knowingly agreed to a new one-year contract. I also relied on the company's clear promise that my July 1 service would be the final service and that my account would be canceled without penalty. When I called and ask why they told me that my billing cycle was once per month and the service was every 40 to 80 days. They are billing for service that don't perform. I canceled immediately. Very unprofessional person came to my door soliciting business. Told him I was busy and he was very rude.

Reading these reviews I was a little shocked. I've been using them for a couple of years and have been very happy. Communication from the exterminators that come out is always on par. I have free ranging chickens so a heads up is helpful so that I can be sure to keep them in their pen for the day so as not to ingest anything. The guy told me to just keep them in their pen for the first 24 hours after spraying and I've never had a problem with my animals. I had a wasp issue and called. They came out the next day and took care of it at no additional cost. When I signed up I was told no contract. And that was what I was specifically trying to avoid so I made the sales rep tell me more than once that there was no contract. Just paying for the services that are scheduled throughout the year. Although I never double checked to see if I am in a contract in spite of what I was told. So after reading these reviews I will double check. But for me, so far so good. read more

I was told, if we find any hotspots to call and the company would come out without any additional charges due to our contract. After the treatment, I noticed a hotspot in a visible area. I called and made an appointment for Saturday. No one showed. I called Monday and made another appointment for today, Tuesday. No one came out again. Very disappointed. We were very clear that we were not interested in service. Then the young man came back the next day! Knocked on the door. I was told they are a family business (not true), and it is slow for them, and while I repeated, "We are not interested", the sales rep insisted on continuing to sell me. I called and after being very aggressive was able to cancel our contract for their breach. A month later I was getting threatening bills so when I called India again I was told it was for cancelling the contract early, which was never mentioned on the original call. When I inquired about gnats and mosquitoes present they said they don't spray for those pests in my contract and it would cost an additional $10/mo. I still get spiders and other pests. I canceled my service via email as told by one of their agents. The continued to take the automated payment despite my cancellation. I called and the agent Leoalda said I needed to call to cancel and that they didn't receive either of the two emails I sent them to cancel services. A representative from Aptive showed up at our home and completely disregarded multiple clearly posted No Soliciting signs. He rang the doorbell several times before we finally answered. When we asked if he had seen the signs, he ignored the question and launched into a disjointed sales pitch. He appeared to be under the influence -- slurring his words, unable to stay focused, and asking personal questions like our names and when we moved in. We asked him to leave. After we shut the door, he remained outside and shouted that he would be "coming back soon," which felt like a threat. When I reopened the door to ask what he meant, he again refused to explain. When asked for his name and company, he said his name was Eli and he worked for Aptive. After the door was closed again, he began yelling profanities and personal insults at our front door, which we caught clearly on our doorbell camera -- including threats directed toward me. By the time we came outside to confront him, he had fled the scene on a hoverboard. We immediately contacted Aptive to file a formal complaint and provided them with a detailed account and video footage. We also filed a police report with our local department. Aptive acknowledged the complaint and said they would begin an internal investigation. However, more than 24 hours later, we've received no follow-up, no update, and no apology. This experience was alarming and unacceptable. Based on this and other reviews, it seems Aptive either condones or fails to control the behavior of its salespeople, who are using aggressive and inappropriate tactics in residential neighborhoods. We've informed our neighbors and urge others to stay away from this company. This kind of behavior should never be part of any sales strategy. read more

I am currently an Aptiv customer sold BS by the doors salesman who came by, saying they respond immediately to emergency issues as there is a local field office. I called yesterday saying we were getting overrun by Ant they said they can come by in 5 days. I said unacceptable as we continue to have to have our reserviced because their product isn't working. I asked if they can call the local office and they said they would send a message and get right back to me. Needless to say they did not so I called today to see what's going on, I asked for a manager and she said she was a manager and the soonest they can get someone here is Monday so 4 days so nothing changed. I asked why the salesman said they are always available and the rep yesterday had said they would call me back and both lied... and she just repeated herself with no answer. I must say that the complaint was never with the technicians that came to the house. Overall, they were all courteous and most of them were pretty thorough. The problem was that our property is fairly large, and we preferred to have someone with a "power sprayer" to work on our property. This made it easier to cover the large lawn areas and so forth. As it turns out, Aptive was in the process of phasing out power sprayers, and as a result, all our appointments kept getting cancelled -- and we weren't getting notified ahead of time. This was incredibly annoying. However, since we've removed the request for the technician to use a power sprayer, we haven't had any issues with appointments being cancelled. read more
