Brooks lost a customer because of their Sales person Briggs!! I've been a Brooks Pest Control customer for about four years and rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing. I originally considered canceling because technicians sometimes didn't perform the service (verified on my security cameras) and I was charged for services that weren't completed. Brooks convinced me to stay by offering a discount and promising I wouldn't have to sign another contract. Recently, I called to increase my service from quarterly to every other month. Instead of honoring what had been promised, the salesperson, Briggs, tried to upsell me to a more expensive plan. When I asked Brooks to honor the agreement they made with me, he became rude and hung up on me. Ironically, when I called back to cancel, they immediately offered me an even bigger discount. By then, it wasn't about the money, it was about how I was treated. After four years of inconsistent service, billing issues, and now disrespectful customer service, I can't recommend Brooks Pest Control. There are better companies out there. read more

Not only did their initial first service tech, come in and out in literally less than 3 minutes at the most. They had to send an additional follow-up immediately following just to try and get it right. If I could give a zero I would. My husband and I gave this company multiple chances all ended in dissatisfaction. When we first started with them it was $200 to start with the first spray as "complimentary". After that they put a green bucket in our yard with some liquid, which evaporated very quickly by the way, saying it Cousy the mosquitos and trader and kill off the others. Such a lie. Since starting with this company we had an even more problematic issue mosquitos. We would call every 15 days as their agreement says by law they can't spray within the next 7 days. Everytime we called they argued that they couldn't spray. We explained it was past the 7 days and still nothing. Each time they came out for service it was a different guy and still never sprayed just changed the water. When we decided to cancel they said we could get a coupon for the next month but regardless, we still had to pay a $200 cancellation fee. I do not recommend as they did not resolve our issue with mosquitoes and the time they did spray they killed my plants. And when we brought it up they said "oh well. Nothing we can do." read more

I should have waited a day and listened to a different pest company. Brooks rep stopped in my neighborhood in April. I was in the market for a new service provider so I figured I'd hear him out. The rep boasted about a new mosquito repellent, a solution in a bucket that the mosquitos take back To their colony and starts to wipe them out. I was intrigued and the fact that I would get that Service for free if I signed up for the standard pest control for 117 a month. They did ask we wait 2 to 4 weeks for us to see any improvement with mosquitoes, I thought that was a reasonable request fast-forward to three months later I have no control in the mosquito infestation with their product not to mention zero pest control. Their technicians do not de-web, as they claimed to do, nor does their solution work. I had to call to get technicians to come back out, and it doesn't seem to have made a difference. They kept trying to get me to spray inside the home and through the decades of owning my home I have yet to have to do that with any other provider the last time they came, they didn't even run a service because my side gate was loose. While I understand, the technician should have rang the doorbell for assistance. When I called to cancel the service, they proceeded to tell me that they will charge me $235 for cancellation even though the cancellation was due to their service and product. Brooks Pest Control said they would get rid of our gopher problem. They said all I had to do call them when I saw activity; and they would come out. That is not what happened. They did not want to come out. They got one gopher in a month. Which cost me $375. They will tell you anything to get you to sign up but do nothing yo keep you on as a customer. read more

Instead of fixing the problem, they left dead rats decomposing and covered in maggots inside the house. I ultimately had to buy my own poison and pay a separate company out of my own pocket to remove the dead rodents.Despite failing to do the job, they still charged me. When I called to complain, the supervisor sent an insulting "proof of service" video that was only 8 seconds long, showing nothing but the front of the house and the back of a truck.To make matters worse, I explicitly told them before hiring them that I would not need the contract once the house sold. Yet, after the house went into escrow, they tried to force me to maintain the contract and transfer it to my personal home.I write both good and bad reviews to be fair, but I am posting this to save others from this complete lack of service and predatory contract practices. Beware, this company goes door to door selling you pest control services. They took advantage of our vulnerability, made my husband sign on a tablet thinking it was just for the one month service. They only showed up to our home once. We were not explained that they hooked us into a 24-month service contract charging our credit card over $519 since June. When trying to cancel this service, the representative said that there's nothing they can do and continued to charge us a ridiculous $264 fee. I'm hoping they refund my money. By doing additional research on Brooks after our bad experience, I found that they already have so many complaints and negative reviews on BBB on their poor business service and deceitful business tactics. Fraudulent company. I spoke to account manager Justin and TJ on the phone and the supervisor's name was Mitch. This company charges me $120 every month to come to my house every other month to treat only the front of my house for less than 10 minutes. Leaves and when I go to check, there's missed wasps nest or wasps rebuilding their nest soon after they leave. I am constantly calling them back for complementary service and the problems are still are not eradicated. I realized it wasn't worth the money and wanted to cancel the service. I've had the service for about a year now. When I went to go cancel today they let me know that I would have to pay them $291 to cancel before my 18 months was up per our agreement. I find it a bit ridiculous to be charged $300 to cancel service you're unhappy with. They clearly are not providng the service I pay for. They never do the backyards, garage, or in my home and you think I have to pay you guys $300 so you can stop coming to my house to do a half ass job. You're out of your mind. After refusing to pay the $291 and asking if there is anything else they could do, which of course they act like they never can, I asked if i would be able to change cards for the cancellation payment. BUT I DID NOT EVER SAY I WAS READY TO CANCEL OR I WAS CANCELLING RIGHT THEN AND THERE. I did not agree nor tell them to cancel my service at all. As the account manager, either Justin or TJ was telling me on the phone how to add a different card onto my file so I can use that card instead, he fraudulently charged my card on file and canceled my service without telling me and I only realized this because I got a Wallet notification before we got off the phone saying my Apple Card was charged $291. He didn't even have the decency to tell me he cancelled my service he was trying to be sneaky about it and didn't expect me know about it until after he sent the cancellation email and was off the phone with me. How shady and unprofessional. The account manager wasn't even gonna notify me that he canceled my service and by that metric the agreement is null and void on top of this being a fraudulent charge. When I pointed this out to the account manager and said this is a mistake you need to refund this. I never gave you permission to charge that card the cancellation fee or cancel my service, he rushed me off the phone and hung up in my face and did not try to rectify the situation. He didnt even let me get a word in after. He did not care and none of them are sorry about any of this. Mind you I have asked for a supervisor twice at this point and neither Justin or TJ wanted to transfer me over to a supervisor by the fourth call I was able to talk to a supervisor who made no rectification of the situation. He told me he would not refund me the $291 to my card, !!!!which was fraudulently charged!!! until I provide another card for them to (fraudulently) charge again the $291 too. The $291 should have never been charged in the first place and now I don't think I need to pay the $291 cancellation fee because their account manager was the one that prematurely canceled it. I didn't say cancel it. Anyways they have a class action law suit going on if anyone wants to check it out for their predatory business behavior. I originally hired Brooks Pest Control to help with the Tick problem that I had at my house. The original tech that I had shared that the service isn't efficient and effective. I called in to their customer service to cancel the service and they ended up reducing their cost significantly. They did not share that I was on a bi-monthly plan nor did they share that I needed up to four treatments before the treatment would work. After two weeks, ticks were still present in my yard. I called them back in April and they came back out for the second spray. The issue is still on going and they never scheduled my next appointment. I got two treatments from them, never heard back regarding my next appointment, and paid $175 to cancel my subscription today with them. I highly recommend not choosing Brooks Pest Control since their service schedules aren't transparent while said services being in-adequate and in-effective. And according to him I have to pay over three hundred dollars if I cancel the contract. They said they're doing an internal investigation but they should have called the police and given them his address they handled the whole situation wrong. That's her whole life. We paid for a full year of pest control service in cash and were assured our account was paid in full. Despite this, we continue to receive collection calls stating that our account is past due and that services will not be provided until the balance is brought current. We were given two phone numbers that appeared to be local to the Corona, California area, but when we researched the numbers through Whitepages, they appeared to be registered out of state. This raised concerns about who we were actually dealing with. Attempts to resolve the issue have been frustrating. When calling the number listed on the company's website, we are connected to representatives who are unable to address or correct the billing problem. As customers who paid in full upfront, we expected reliable service and accurate account management. Instead, we have spent considerable time trying to resolve an issue that should not exist. We hope the company will review its records, honor the agreement that was paid for in full, and correct this situation immediately. read more

DONT NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. I have hired Brooks Pest Control over a year ago. They were instructed to go into the house to set up traps and spray the outside as I had a mice problem. I was told that they would only go out every two months and if I wanted them to go out again I would to call after each scheduled appointment to send them out again. I would assume as a pest control company they would go out more frequently until the issue was under control. I was told by customer service that the reason they don't go out as often is because the mice get immune to the food and it would not work anymore. Which is a bunch of crap. I called and talked to a manager and he agreed that it makes no sense why they would say that. The last time they went out (July 1st) I was told that the issue was under control and there was no tracings. I rented my house out for the weekend and the renters send me numerous photos of the traps full of mice. Obviously I had to refund all the funds to the customer ($6,000) for the inconvenience. I called customer service and got a text message back basically saying sorry, next time we will do better. I ended up calling customer service and asked for a manger to discuss the issues and to cancel my service. The manager informed me I had four months left on my contract and would have to pay for the remainder of the contract to discontinue my service.... which is insane considering all the issues and money lost. He looked up my account and even counted the number of times I have called and still would not wave the fee. I am fuming and very disappointed by the lack of consideration and understanding. When my husband called to cancel due to their service not being worth the business, they told him he had been signed up for a year contact and now has to pay a $300 cancellation fee and other ridiculous fees. The service provided was good for a while; however, for the past 2 visits I had to contact Customer Service to have them come out. They were supposed to be here in June and haven't heard from them again so i called AGAIN. I was told that they would be here today between 8 and 5. I told them that a 9 hour window was unacceptable so they changed it from 8 to 12. It's 10 and I haven't heard a word! Instead of solving the problem, they kept pushing to over treat the yard. Every time they sprayed, my cat would throw up, even though they advertise their service as pet-friendly. Right after I finally got it canceled, a pending charge was appearing on my account And he refused to refund it to me. I signed a contract with Brooks Pest Control at a high rate because of their promise to eradicate our bugs and rats. After a year, they were charging others half as much as they charged me. I was able to get them to reduce my monthly. But the value has never been good. With the service I had BEFORE BROOKS, I never saw a rat. With Brooks, I have called and complained several times, and each time, they would send someone out, and nothing changed. NOW the rats have chewed through the wires on my pool heater and the new pool heater is going to cost me a fortune. I called to cancel the service after months of giving them a chance to rectify the situation, and they said they would PENALIZE ME for canceling my contract. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT or use BROOKS ! I've been a customer for almost 2 years now and recently had Brooks not show up. Even after calling the office and asking for a revised ETA after waiting 6 hours I got no answer, no explanation, no apology and no return call providing an update or a reschedule. So, by the next day I hired another exterminator and called Brooks told Brooks what had happened and what I had done and why. Their response was to that they would charge me $245 to cancel my contract which only had $210 left of remaining service. I offered to pay just $210 but no - they wanted to keep my business so kept insisting they would come out again. Given I had already had service from a competitor that was not an option - I'm not going to treat my home with poison twice in one week just to satisfy a contract and avoid paying a cancellation fee. Still, rather than charge the $205 they would have received if I fulfilled the last 2 treatments of my contract, they charged me $245 and incurred no expenses to do. I thought I offered them a very fair deal. So, aside from my dissatisfaction with giving me an 8 hour window for service and never showing up even after I called to ask about it, Brooks also refused to let me pay out what I owed and instead charged me a cancellation fee for more money than my service would have cost. That to me is indicative of a company that has poor service, poor customer communication and immoral business practices. Three strikes from me and you are out! read more

Please read in its entirety before getting hooked for 18 months. I would be cautious with using Brooks Pest Control. The tell you that the discounted rate is great and affordable; and that you can cancel at any time. During the discussion agreement they vaguely mention that you are signing up to 18 months and in the same breath they say you can cancel at any time. When calling the account manager Joe no last name he told me that the discounted service for the 18 months I will need to pay the difference, I had already paid for 4 months and that my cancellation fee would be $250.00. This was a deception on Brooks Pest Control. Next time I would recommend buying Lowes or Home Depot products. Be careful and ask plenty of questions if you are still going with BPC. read more

I am writing to share my experience with Brooks Pest Control and to caution others against using their services. I hired this company to address a rat infestation in my attic. Despite three service visits, the technician refused to enter the attic to place traps where the main activity was located. Instead, they placed 2 traps at the entrance, traps I could have gotten from Home Depot. This approach felt like a deliberate attempt to prolong the issue rather than resolve it, meaning the longer you use their services, the more profitable the business is. Furthermore, the company stopped showing up for scheduled services for three months while continuing to charge my bank account. When I contacted them, they claimed they could not reach me to schedule appointments which is not true and refused to issue a refund for the undelivered services. Even after I explicitly called to cancel, they continued to charge my account for another three months. I eventually had to involve my bank to stop these unauthorized transactions. Additionally, not only did they not show up to provide the services, the went ahead and charged me a $175 cancelation fee. This company has proven to be dishonest and unprofessional. They showed no interest in remedying the situation or providing the service I paid for. I strongly advise against providing them with your banking information or utilizing their services. If you choose to hire them, I recommend using a credit card or debit card rather than providing them with your bank account, because if you have any issues with them, they will find excuses and they will still charge you even if you already asked them to stop the services or if the services were not delivered. read more
