Poor customer service? This review is not about the technicians who visit your home--they have always been professional. My issue is with scheduling and customer support. My home was scheduled for service during a heavy storm, and the technician confirmed he could not spray due to the rain. He only de-webbed the exterior before leaving. Shortly after, I received a notice stating the full service was completed. I immediately checked my cameras and contacted customer service, explaining that the service was not performed and requesting a refund. I was told a refund was not possible because the job was "completed," despite my evidence. I was then told I could only receive a refund if I re-enrolled in services or accepted a discount. Both were unacceptable. When I asked for a supervisor or owner contact, I was repeatedly denied. After going in circles, I finally agreed to send someone out to finish the job--but calling it "free" when I had already been charged is a lie. Please read in its entirety before getting hooked for 18 months. I would be cautious with using Brooks Pest Control. The tell you that the discounted rate is great and affordable; and that you can cancel at any time. During the discussion agreement they vaguely mention that you are signing up to 18 months and in the same breath they say you can cancel at any time. When calling the account manager Joe no last name he told me that the discounted service for the 18 months I will need to pay the difference, I had already paid for 4 months and that my cancellation fee would be $250.00. This was a deception on Brooks Pest Control. Next time I would recommend buying Lowes or Home Depot products. Be careful and ask plenty of questions if you are still going with BPC. read more

I wish there was an option for zero stars. Absolutely horrible company. I called to cancel on December 10th and spoke to an extremely rude and unprofessional manager. He said you owe us $200.00 for a cancellation fee. I explained, no I do not, I have an e-mail stating that there that our account was cancelled and there was no balance due. As soon as I hung up, they charged my card $200.00, I disputed with my credit card and provided proof from Brooks that we did not owe anything, nor did we sign anything stating we would owe a $200.00 cancellation fee. Brooks continued to try charging our credit card and then were trying to charge us a $35.00 NSF fee for illegally charging our credit card. Now we get a letter we are going to collections. This is fraud. They are being reported to the BBB, Department of Consumer Affairs for illegal practices and harassment, Attorney General's Office, and FTC. read more

I started service with Brooks Pest Control on 9/25/25, and I have to say the Technicians were very friendly and helpful after the first initial service. I even set up 2nd property for service, but soon after, I started to see no difference. I continued to see spiders, ants, and other pests soon after each visit. I had to call for additional service in between regular appointments to try to help with pest control. It did not get better after months of calling for additional services; it started to be a hassle to call in to Customer Service for the same issue. I had had enough, and I decided to cancel the service contract. The Customer ServiceRepresentitive tranfered me to the Account Manager so I could inform him of my experience. After I explained that I was not happy and wanted to cancel the service contract, he looked at my account and could see that I been calling for additional services. The Account Manager basically said he could continue to send additional Technicians to service my property, but could not cancel the contract. My response was that your chemicals aren't working, and why should I be obligated to continue to pay for service that's clearly not working? He continued to repeat "you're under a contract," and if you want to cancel, you have to pay the discount fee, which is $225 per property. Product did not work at all. Got the bi monthly one. They lock you into getting the full service or paying a $300 cancellation fee. During the service, I said the fleas were primarily targeting one piece of furniture, but existed on at least 2 others (everything else is not fabric or carpet in the house). When I came back home, I find that was interpreted as just place a couple dots ONLY on the one piece of furniture even though I said multiple times it was on the 3 cloth areas. I decided to wait it out hoping to see at least some results after the initial it will get worse before it gets better claim and absolutely nothing changed. Roommates changed some dog walking habits/locations and got different flea medication and I could no longer find eggs after I came back from holidays (so not doing anything else like washing bed sheets for 2 whole weeks). This was after a month and a half of it being the same if not worse than before, so it was a direct result of the changes that were made while I was away (medication applied before I left) I have seen other pest control services for roaches at work effective within a week (I should have checked who we used for that, but I was desperate and trying to find something super close to me which is what the cancelation fee contract preys on) so I'm not inexperienced with what constitutes good pest service. I just assumed I would at least get decent service, not ineffective service. They will charge you right away if you say you're cancelling, so make a claim with your bank beforehand and let them handle it. read more

This is the worst company ever. The manager attempted to be rude and aggressive because I asked to not continue the service after the year long contract expired. He stated that I still had a treatment they needed to complete and they would not cancel the contract unless I paid them over 200 dollars. I explained I'm not paying them a dime. I had fulfilled my end and one year was up. He got loud and tried to overtalk me. I explained to him that wasn't going to happen and got louder and explained to him they were committing fraud. Similar to others, a sales rep came to my door, told me I could cancel my service at any time and when I attempted to because it was expensive and wasn't super effective, I was told I had to pay $700 for the remainder of a contract I was unaware I had. Fast forward, last month the tech came and told me I don't have mosquito service which was the only reason I signed up for Brooks in the first place and had been with them for almost 2 years. When customer service looked into my account they told me it was cancelled with no explanation. They offered to add it back for an extended contract. I told them I'm not signing anything else, every receipt I've received for 2 years stated mosquito service was included. They said they'd add it back on, no contract extension and send someone the next day to complete service. Still no explanation or resolution to the last year plus that I thought I was receiving a service that I wasn't. The tech came back the next day to complete mosquito service and I was charged a second time. I contacted customer service again for a refund and was told it would be processed. A month later, no refund. They schedule my next monthly service and I call customer service about the refund, they said they added a note to my account that I won't be charged. Tech comes a few days later and when he leaves, I'm charged. Every tech has been great, super friendly and helpful but customer service has not with the exception of Phoebe. read more

We've been with Brooks since moving here in 2021and they're great. Whenever we have a problem beyond our monthly service they come out within 24-48 hours to address it. Insects were more than a little challenging this past summer and they were always incredibly responsive! It's been so bad this season we just increased our mosquito abatement services with them to now be year round. Several of my neighbors also use them, would highly recommend. Thanks Brooks! read more

The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. From day 1! The gentleman who I first spoke with lied about the fees and services. I called on day 1 of my service and got the fees corrected. Not so much the services but I let it slide. The only reason I hired them was for in home services ONLY. They scheduled a technician without confirming someone would be home to let them inside. This went on for months. I finally was able to get a set schedule of the 1st Monday of every month. Last week came and went and no one showed up. No friendly reminder, anything. Today I get a call from the technician that they are on their way. I have called almost every month with a complaint and explained if thie incredibly terrible customer service continued Id cancel. First Customer Service, long wait times on phone. June 2024 I engaged them for Mosquito Control. Control only worked after first application. May 2025 I Some health issues, after an abundance of texts, back and forth, I told them not possible to have at home to open back gate. After many phone calls, due to their insensitivity to my situation I was informed two more visits required or I would as a SENIOR HAVE TO PAY AN OUTRAGEOUS amount to fulfill my obligation. We made an honest mistake and didn't understand the billing, so then when we saw the actually bill we decided it was too expensive. We call to cancel and instead of just canceling our service they started offering us all these different plans. Plans that were cheaper than what we were paying for! Brooks came for a few months, but I saw zero reduction in bugs. They lead you to believe the service they provide is $350 but your only going to pay $69..they obtain payment before service is even rendered..no contract,or provision of contract..at the time of first initial payment. Today they illegally,unlawfully withdrew $149 from my account..of course a complaint was filed with fraud department. I spoke to an account manager by the name of Daniel that when explained the situation,and the fraud that was committed,and they knew about it because the name they used was Teddy's pest control.upon explanation and him even admitting he saw email sent by me revoking ACH authorization,so fourth,months ago. They did unlawfully withdrawal funds from my bank.He refused to refund money,also stating refusal while I was presently of the phone with Bank fraud department. We are being overrun with mice and we hired them to get rid of the mice but all they do is come out and set some traps and then they don't come back! We are supposed to Call them if we want come back. But all they do is set more traps when they come out and the mice are multiplying all the time. I've tried to quit the contract twice but they want to charge me a bunch of money to get out of the contract that I don't even remember signing. I hired this company to do a monthly spray of my yards, I have three houses all next-door to each other, the flea and tick issue has not been resolved in the months that I have paid them. So I started watching them when they came to the property and making sure I was home, I caught them a couple times, pulling up in front of my house not even getting out of their truck then leaving. Today the technician pulled up in front of my house and literally was back in his truck after nine minutes. When I called the office to complain, they blamed my backyard not being sprayed because I wasn't home.... Sweetheart, I was home watching your guy. Leave after nine minutes of doing nothing. I canceled my services to which they informed me that they would not reimburse me for this spray visit today.... But you didn't do the job. So I gave them the option to come back out to my property and actually spray the yards, they told me they would only come out and spray my yards if I reinstated my service. So let me get this straight. You want me to pay you for the entire month of January for a job you did not do? I think it's fair that if you're gonna charge me for January then come and spray my yards. But no, that's not how these people do business they will take your money and if they think you're not home, you will not get your yard sprayed but they will bill you anyway.
