DONT NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. I have hired Brooks Pest Control over a year ago. They were instructed to go into the house to set up traps and spray the outside as I had a mice problem. I was told that they would only go out every two months and if I wanted them to go out again I would to call after each scheduled appointment to send them out again. I would assume as a pest control company they would go out more frequently until the issue was under control. I was told by customer service that the reason they don't go out as often is because the mice get immune to the food and it would not work anymore. Which is a bunch of crap. I called and talked to a manager and he agreed that it makes no sense why they would say that. The last time they went out (July 1st) I was told that the issue was under control and there was no tracings. I rented my house out for the weekend and the renters send me numerous photos of the traps full of mice. Obviously I had to refund all the funds to the customer ($6,000) for the inconvenience. I called customer service and got a text message back basically saying sorry, next time we will do better. I ended up calling customer service and asked for a manger to discuss the issues and to cancel my service. The manager informed me I had four months left on my contract and would have to pay for the remainder of the contract to discontinue my service.... which is insane considering all the issues and money lost. He looked up my account and even counted the number of times I have called and still would not wave the fee. I am fuming and very disappointed by the lack of consideration and understanding. Deceptive sales tactics!! Do not hire them! My husband spoke with one of their sales person who got him to try it out for a paid month trial. When my husband called to cancel due to their service not being worth the business, they told him he had been signed up for a year contact and now has to pay a $300 cancellation fee and other ridiculous fees. They go around homes selling their business in blue shirts. Keep the door closed. We still have issues with gophers and insects. I will be reporting them to the business bureau as they did not want to cancel our membership even after we shared their salesperson had us sign up under false terms. read more

Please read in its entirety before getting hooked for 18 months. I would be cautious with using Brooks Pest Control. The tell you that the discounted rate is great and affordable; and that you can cancel at any time. During the discussion agreement they vaguely mention that you are signing up to 18 months and in the same breath they say you can cancel at any time. When calling the account manager Joe no last name he told me that the discounted service for the 18 months I will need to pay the difference, I had already paid for 4 months and that my cancellation fee would be $250.00. This was a deception on Brooks Pest Control. Next time I would recommend buying Lowes or Home Depot products. Be careful and ask plenty of questions if you are still going with BPC. read more

I gave this company 1 star because that is the lowest I could give it. I've been using Brooks Pest Control (Fresno) since August 2025. The service provided was good for a while; however, for the past 2 visits I had to contact Customer Service to have them come out. They were supposed to be here in June and haven't heard from them again so i called AGAIN. I was told that they would be here today between 8 and 5. I told them that a 9 hour window was unacceptable so they changed it from 8 to 12. It's 10 and I haven't heard a word! Product did not work at all. Got the bi monthly one. They lock you into getting the full service or paying a $300 cancellation fee. During the service, I said the fleas were primarily targeting one piece of furniture, but existed on at least 2 others (everything else is not fabric or carpet in the house). When I came back home, I find that was interpreted as just place a couple dots ONLY on the one piece of furniture even though I said multiple times it was on the 3 cloth areas. I decided to wait it out hoping to see at least some results after the initial it will get worse before it gets better claim and absolutely nothing changed. Roommates changed some dog walking habits/locations and got different flea medication and I could no longer find eggs after I came back from holidays (so not doing anything else like washing bed sheets for 2 whole weeks). This was after a month and a half of it being the same if not worse than before, so it was a direct result of the changes that were made while I was away (medication applied before I left) I have seen other pest control services for roaches at work effective within a week (I should have checked who we used for that, but I was desperate and trying to find something super close to me which is what the cancelation fee contract preys on) so I'm not inexperienced with what constitutes good pest service. I just assumed I would at least get decent service, not ineffective service. They will charge you right away if you say you're cancelling, so make a claim with your bank beforehand and let them handle it. read more

I signed a contract with Brooks Pest Control at a high rate because of their promise to eradicate our bugs and rats. After a year, they were charging others half as much as they charged me. I was able to get them to reduce my monthly. But the value has never been good. With the service I had BEFORE BROOKS, I never saw a rat. With Brooks, I have called and complained several times, and each time, they would send someone out, and nothing changed. NOW the rats have chewed through the wires on my pool heater and the new pool heater is going to cost me a fortune. I called to cancel the service after months of giving them a chance to rectify the situation, and they said they would PENALIZE ME for canceling my contract. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT or use BROOKS ! What about their end of the contract???? tons of chances to fix the situation and I am left with rats and the bill for a new pool heater. read more

I've been a customer for almost 2 years now and recently had Brooks not show up. Even after calling the office and asking for a revised ETA after waiting 6 hours I got no answer, no explanation, no apology and no return call providing an update or a reschedule. So, by the next day I hired another exterminator and called Brooks told Brooks what had happened and what I had done and why. Their response was to that they would charge me $245 to cancel my contract which only had $210 left of remaining service. I offered to pay just $210 but no - they wanted to keep my business so kept insisting they would come out again. Given I had already had service from a competitor that was not an option - I'm not going to treat my home with poison twice in one week just to satisfy a contract and avoid paying a cancellation fee. Still, rather than charge the $205 they would have received if I fulfilled the last 2 treatments of my contract, they charged me $245 and incurred no expenses to do. I thought I offered them a very fair deal. So, aside from my dissatisfaction with giving me an 8 hour window for service and never showing up even after I called to ask about it, Brooks also refused to let me pay out what I owed and instead charged me a cancellation fee for more money than my service would have cost. That to me is indicative of a company that has poor service, poor customer communication and immoral business practices. Three strikes from me and you are out! read more

I've been with Brooks Pest Control for months without being able to get out of my contract without struggle. They have never been able to get rid of the ants on my property. Instead of solving the problem, they kept pushing to over treat the yard. Every time they sprayed, my cat would throw up, even though they advertise their service as pet-friendly. When my contract was due, I tried to cancel but had to spend over thirty minutes convincing the rep to cancel my contract. Right after I finally got it canceled, a pending charge was appearing on my account And he refused to refund it to me. Even though the technician came on the last day my contract was still active, they refused to remove the charge or refund me. Do not use this company. Similar to others, a sales rep came to my door, told me I could cancel my service at any time and when I attempted to because it was expensive and wasn't super effective, I was told I had to pay $700 for the remainder of a contract I was unaware I had. Fast forward, last month the tech came and told me I don't have mosquito service which was the only reason I signed up for Brooks in the first place and had been with them for almost 2 years. When customer service looked into my account they told me it was cancelled with no explanation. They offered to add it back for an extended contract. I told them I'm not signing anything else, every receipt I've received for 2 years stated mosquito service was included. They said they'd add it back on, no contract extension and send someone the next day to complete service. Still no explanation or resolution to the last year plus that I thought I was receiving a service that I wasn't. The tech came back the next day to complete mosquito service and I was charged a second time. I contacted customer service again for a refund and was told it would be processed. A month later, no refund. They schedule my next monthly service and I call customer service about the refund, they said they added a note to my account that I won't be charged. Tech comes a few days later and when he leaves, I'm charged. Every tech has been great, super friendly and helpful but customer service has not with the exception of Phoebe. read more

This is the worst company ever. The manager attempted to be rude and aggressive because I asked to not continue the service after the year long contract expired. He stated that I still had a treatment they needed to complete and they would not cancel the contract unless I paid them over 200 dollars. I explained I'm not paying them a dime. I had fulfilled my end and one year was up. He got loud and tried to overtalk me. I explained to him that wasn't going to happen and got louder and explained to him they were committing fraud. We've been with Brooks since moving here in 2021and they're great. Whenever we have a problem beyond our monthly service they come out within 24-48 hours to address it. Insects were more than a little challenging this past summer and they were always incredibly responsive! It's been so bad this season we just increased our mosquito abatement services with them to now be year round. Several of my neighbors also use them, would highly recommend. Thanks Brooks! read more

The company will not let us cancel the service without paying a $251 fee for ended a "contract" early, claiming when we signed up it was for 24 months of service. We are renters and will only be at our property for 12 months. The pest guys come and we have to clean up after them and also do our own pest control since they are not thorough. First Customer Service, long wait times on phone. June 2024 I engaged them for Mosquito Control. Control only worked after first application. May 2025 I Some health issues, after an abundance of texts, back and forth, I told them not possible to have at home to open back gate. After first heavily knocking on our front door while I was away, the gentleman saw me drive into the driveway and proceeded to get out of the Tesla they were stalking from and walked up my driveway towards the garage around the back of the house to try to talk to me. After just trying to come home after a day at work, this ambushing from a door to door sales person is very unwelcome. The gentleman continued trying to spew his sales pitch as I closed the gate and told him we were not interested and to please leave. Finally, he relented as I walked away towards the house. I started service with Brooks Pest Control on 9/25/25, and I have to say the Technicians were very friendly and helpful after the first initial service. I even set up 2nd property for service, but soon after, I started to see no difference. I continued to see spiders, ants, and other pests soon after each visit. I had to call for additional service in between regular appointments to try to help with pest control. It did not get better after months of calling for additional services; it started to be a hassle to call in to Customer Service for the same issue. I had had enough, and I decided to cancel the service contract. The Customer ServiceRepresentitive tranfered me to the Account Manager so I could inform him of my experience. After I explained that I was not happy and wanted to cancel the service contract, he looked at my account and could see that I been calling for additional services. The Account Manager basically said he could continue to send additional Technicians to service my property, but could not cancel the contract. My response was that your chemicals aren't working, and why should I be obligated to continue to pay for service that's clearly not working? He continued to repeat "you're under a contract," and if you want to cancel, you have to pay the discount fee, which is $225 per property. We are being overrun with mice and we hired them to get rid of the mice but all they do is come out and set some traps and then they don't come back! We are supposed to Call them if we want come back. But all they do is set more traps when they come out and the mice are multiplying all the time. I've tried to quit the contract twice but they want to charge me a bunch of money to get out of the contract that I don't even remember signing.
