I used Lloyd Pest & Termite Control for termites in West Los Angeles. I had called out 3 different companies to provide an estimate and theirs was definitely competitive. What really stood out to me and why I ended up going with Lloyd was the level of service that Quentin had provided. Quentin was prompt, very communicative, and more than happy to talk through any questions that I had. My wife and I were expecting at the time and were very concerned about the possibility of fumigating or exposure to chemicals. Quentin not only listened to us but made us feel heard. The fumigation itself went off without a hitch and we seem to be termite free. Since then, I've actually had other pest issues (unrelated to termites) and Quentin is always there to provide a prompt and honest answer. Our price over 10 years went up to $100 per home per year of our duplex. Also there is no service unless you find the infestation yourself. Show evidence or no help. FYI people - they do not do maintenance plans for inside condos (!???) and do nor do same day service and you have to call each time to have them come. One of the exterminators fell and broke my roof tiles so I called the company and they came out to check the damage and they were very professional and fixed every tile that was broken. To me that meant a lot and they did the right thing because their reputation means something to them. I wish every business would care that much. This is a terrible service and customer service is equally bad. We were transferred to this company via transfer of another company. So when they scheduled us for a bug spray we were scheduled for a monthly service end of September then the following week first week of October. This was not explained to us. Tell me if it makes sense to spray for bugs two weeks in a row and charge your customer when they are new to your service. When I spoke to customer service even the supervisor didn't make it right, so we cancelled the service through him.. still didn't offer to make it right. I did my research, Llyod is the most afford able and reputable pest control company that services our neighborhood. The only complaint is Jennifer Declairville. She was the rudest person I have made contact with. She threatened to cancel my appointment because the scheduler forgot to take my card information. She emailed, not called me and wrote,"I will need a debit/credit card on file please by 1pm today or I will have to cancel the appointment." Most people are at work at 1pm Jennifer and can not stop, check their email and respond. I took it as unprofessional and a threat. Besides that, the service is great. I went with this company after being with Terminex for over 30 years... They did a great job and inspected my house and did a great job spraying inside and the outside. They were way more thorough than Terminex but I didn't get my $25 discount from my bill from yelp using the "checkin" but it was probably just an oversight on their part maybe I'll get it next time but I can't say enough good things about this company. their termite guy that came out to inspect my house had the personality of a rock but maybe he was just having a bad day but he would actually make a great DMV employee or an IRS auditor if he ever decides to leave this company...or maybe he just doesn't like cops or ex cops...lol. read more

lloyd pest control was hired to come to my home, set  traps to catch rats and remove them 2 times a week. they have missed 2 times already and we have called them about the rats in the traps previously  when they haven't came to pick them up. one time they waited over a week to return to pick up the dead rat(s). yesterday we had to call them as there was a dead rat again and they said they would send someone right away and today the business is closed already and still nobody showed up to pick up the rat. now their voicemail states they will be closed until next week due to the holiday weekend.  it smells even worse today and they do not seem to care. they were also supposed to come tuesdays and fridays and the first two technicians called us right before they arrived, after that, nobody notified us and just appeared on any day and time they chose. all the traps were not checked thoroughly either. the last time a technician came, he didn't even go into the garage to check the 4 traps in there or the one in the storage shed (that is where the recent rat was found). Bad service all throughout. After the first service all the other technicians that have been coming to check the rat traps have not been coming regularly, have not called in advance to notify us they were coming, and do not check all the traps that were set up. We have been going back and forth with this company and their supervisors everyone we find dead rats. They told us to call when we have a dead rat and they will come same day, but that only happened once, all other times we have had to wait days for them to come and pick them up. Have them for quarterly service for two or three years now. They start out doing everything you would expect them to do but over the years they do the bare minimum. They don't even clean my cobwebs anymore. They are always sending new hires/recent high school grads to do the work. And they increase your bill without ever telling you and just expect you to pay it. The first increase was a fine print on a "privacy notice" when every company was sending it a few years back. A privacy notice.. can you believe that?? No one reads that shit and nowhere did it say price increase either until you read a little fine print at the end of it. The next time they increased my bill was AFTER they did the service. Went to pay the bill online and the price had increased. Reached out to them about it and no answer. Quality of services goes down while price goes up. Avoid, I'm going to look for a new pest control company. read more

Worst service I've ever experienced. Used them for years as my quarterly pest control. Scheduled a termite inspection and the first time the inspector canceled the day of after I arranged my schedule. 2nd attempt they no showed. Today was my 3rd and final try and again the inspector no showed. Each time they lied and said they banged on my door not realizing I was sitting right by the door with my dog waiting for them that arrive. Plus my security cameras show that no one ever arrived.. They lie and back their employees that have no ethics which tells me that this company has not ethics and obviously hires the bottom of the barrel of inspectors and employees. I would never use them and will emplore you to stay away and save youself the time and headaches that they have caused me. I would give them less than a 1 but not an option. We've had Lloyd pest services for over ten years at two different homes. They started out pretty good and affordable. Lately though they are doing the absolute minimum work and the rates keep increasing. We have bugs EVERYWHERE! In the house, in the grass, in the wood, and flying gnats everywhere. They don't spray the grass flies or handle rodents (we have seen a rat too, yuck!). They tell us to just call them out again between scheduled service but that gets old pretty quick. Very happy with our pest service. Really affordable rate, they did the house, our little backyard, and the garage. They sent an email confirmation and some instructions which we appreciated. Technician called and arrived within their two hour window. They basically moved almost everything (except the couches and large furniture) to do a proper treatment. The technician even offered to schedule a 1-week follow up treatment at no additional charge for our piece of mind. And so far we've seen no bug activity. The inspector was great. Came up with a plan. The wheels fell off after that. I went with subterranean and fumigation, it needed to be done. They came out to do the subterranean treatment when I was out of town, which is fine. I looked around the house and found no evidence that the garage area was even treated so we had to get someone back out to finish the job. Glad I looked... Then the tent went on. I pointed out the one sprinkler that may have not been visible to ensure they didn't break it. Not only did they break that one they hit 2 more that were in the open. I called it out and the guy told me one was already fixed and that one of the others is not in use. Seriously, the guy was trying to tell me that the one of my sprinklers that I KNOW is in use was not being used.... And then they left tape all over a gate, I called about it and they said it would be taken care off. I received and email saying the tape was removed. It is not, I did it myself. They knocked off $100 for the sprinkles, took me 4 fricken hours and a trip to Lowes to fix it all. Just do better. read more

I had called Great Western Pest Control for ant service, but learned that Lloyd Pest bought out the business. I had been using Great Western for almost 20 years. Robert S from Lloyd was sent out to take care of my ant problem. I normally have Termidor applied for treatment of ants. Robert did an excellent job of explaining to me that he was using Bifen, because California does not permit the use of Termidor at this time of year. He mentioned that Termidor is normally applied after March due to rainy season. He was very personable, friendly and provided helpful hints as to how to control ants and crickets including rats.
